We just left our stay with ocean rv park and there's great pros and really irritating cons. Pros- great locations, close - drive to the beach, great pizza and coffee restaurants walking distance, close to beaches. Good amenities- laundry room, pool, jacuzzi, lots of families and friendly snow bird couples. Friendly grounds- maintenance staff (Gardner) Cons- really tight spots, trains over night running close with horns, really unfriendly office staff - there was an older women maybe in her 60s that told our daughter she couldn't ride her bike in the empty spots. These spots were empty the entire trip and I was able to watch my disabled son while keeping eyes on her. The woman took it upon herself to tell her ride somewhere else and not discuss it directly with us. When my husband confronted her, she told us to read our bi- laws. They were not in the bi laws. She kept going around looking for citations on campers - very miserable woman. Just know if you're going to camp here she's likely going to try to make your time miserable. Someone please take away her assistant manager push pin someone gave her. She's clearly chasing business away. read more

We have been staying with you for over 10 years! We have seen it transition from a long term living RV resort in to what it is today. The last two or three years really was the peak of quality and service! This trip was a sad let down, the things we had come to expect and look forward to were not remotely close. Spaces were NOT cleaned between campers, this used to be the norm! Staff used to be very present and maintained a level of connection with campers while making sure they helped with any issues and made sure rules were being followed. The pool was heated this trip but the area around it was not as well maintained and the hot tub was WAY TOO HOT! It was dangerously hot, enough it gave my husband heat stroke! He was wiped out for the whole night. It was very VERY hot, was checked and was over 107 degrees. The staff was very hands off, unprofessional and not present. The park was dirty, you can tell the gardeners and maintenance staff were not maintaining like they use to. We stayed for 12 nights and never ONCE saw someone cleaning or trimming etc. They have now imposed a $10 per delivery fee for packages that are delivered to the campground. This is however not posted on TT website or the Oceanside RV Resort site. Its just a sign on their post board out in front of their office that we are supposed to read when arriving. Scammy to me and very very ridiculous for long term guests. Overall the location and price are hard to beat, so we will be back but I am in no rush based off this trip. The prior management and staff really had a care for their guests experiences and showed it in their work. Sad to say that Oceanside RV Resort has definitely peaked and is on the downward fall for sure! read more

Gave Oceanside RV another try, as a last resort. Was the only place that had vacancies. Once again, it did not measure up, and we weren't shocked and didn't have too high of expectations. The front office staff again was not friendly. The park is not pet friendly & the train is annoying, loud and non-stop. It seems the train operators also don't like this place as well. The $40 pick your site fee is unnecessary and misleading. I guess if you get suckered into paying for the park to pick your spot, they will put you closer to the train. I can officially say we are out on Oceanside RV. read more

It's a good vibe! The atmosphere, inside and outside the secure resort. It took nearly TWO years for us to get our Thousand Trails butts in this place & and it was well worth the wait. The staff is warm and welcoming; if you're a frequent visitor, they actually remember your face! I think that's a nice perk for paying consumers. There's no reason for finding the downside/dark side of this place there's not a lot. The Oceanside/Northern San Diego area is pretty sweet, makes this RV resort more appealing. read more

Very nice and well maintained RV park with nice employees. We had our ups and downs being at this RV park. Even tho it was super clean and we felt very safe being at this park, the train ruined our sleep during our stay :( it would wake us up at 5:30am and it ran all the way until past 10:30pm, so as we tried to sleep before 9:30p we couldn't because of the train. My kids were so exhausted at the end of our stay. Maybe our space was too close to the train. I'm not sure if we will return. read more

We stayed at one of the three tent campsites. It turns out the train runs right behind the fence of the campsites! And it blasts its horn as it's going past every 15 minutes from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. which makes it impossible to sleep after 4:00 a.m., impossible to take a nap, and impossible to enjoy a conversation for more than 15 minutes. Although the rest of the facility was beautiful including the swimming pool, this really ruined our vacation and we are exhausted. I wish there had been an indication or warning of this on their website. read more

This has been one of the most disappointing experiences. We loved taking our family to this park. We made reservations for a few weeks this summer. We paid the entire amount up front and had confirmation of our reservation. Weeks later the company canceled our reservation. Rebooked for half the time. Refunded less than half. And offered no recourse to the canceled contract stating it was within their right. They wanted more money. So so disappointing and unethical. read more

Good experience at this RV park, close enough to everything. Safe and family friendly. Pool and showers were nice! Site itself was perfect for us. Game room and laundry room were nice accommodations. The clubhouse store was very slim, not much in there. Only giving 4/5 stars due to the poorly kept dog "park". It was pretty gross and my dog did not approve. Used the oceanside Circuit for local traveling to avoid driving/parking anywhere. Overall I would recommend staying here, we will be back! read more

This is a great RV park. This RV Park isn't the cheapest by far, but its location and property value, I get it. We've been going here for 4 years... it has improved greatly over the last 2.5 years (thereabouts). No more trashy sketchy looking RV'S or folks. I get it though, price of Property they had to step it up, and they did! Accommodated our 41', 5th Wheel, pull through, easy in and out! Picnic table, no fire pit though. Good security! Every employee is just the best, friendly, helpful, I never have to worry. We've made good "friends " here. Pool / Hot tub are great areas, clean... it's too bad some folks just don't/won't follow rules! No glass or food, peeps! Restrooms, laundry areas are exemplary! Game room is large, we don't use, but it's nice. We have checked out one across the street (down the street a block). I can't figure out why folks stay there. Either place is NOT on the beach, you still have to walk or drive. Anyway, it's pricey, but if you want to be close to the Beach, it's the place to go.... The ONLY complaint, (I'm not sure what they can do), but the dog park is just smelly, it looks clean and sanitized, but I can't handle the odor! I noticed most folks don't use it..... maybe they can look into ground products (??) Just wanted to mention train noise, the other R V Park is right on the tracks too.... I just use my sleep sounds to muffle it.... And as for the Cemetery, (up hill next door) it is a Historical site (or should be), all interred have been so mostly before the 1920''s , PLUS you can't see it! It's a non-issue! This park is like all of the ones in the beach cities. They are just wide enough for the rig and a picnic table. However, this park has a fence partway between the sites. Most of the sites are concrete Pull-Thru spots. The campground is situated right on Pacific Coast Hwy and is near to everything, except a sandy beach. You can access a beach with just a short drive. The park has a nice but small pool and Jacuzzi. The staff maintains the park in a very clean condition. The Sprinter light rail train goes by frequently and blows their horn but it doesn't bother me. This is our second stay and we will definitely be returning. You can get packages delivered by UPS. read more

The Park Is New and Maintain well! it's not Dog Friendly we were walking our dog. It pooped. We are responsible, dog owners. We picked up the poop and then the maintenance gentleman told me I had to go and bring it to the dog park. The park is a very nice park. For the most part we enjoyed our stay. The only issue is the new assistant manager - Cindy. We had reservations with Thousand Trails to return to our original site number - 133. Cindy would not let us into that spot. To make a long story very short we had tried to extend our stay at Oceanside because it was so very nice. We were told by TT that our site was booked and we could not extend. We left on our original depart day. The following day our friends called to tell us no one had moved into our spot. We talked with a supervisor at TT and they informed us we should have been able to extend our stay and offered to let us return to Oceanside RV Park. We were grateful and went back. When we got back to the park Cindy greeted us with "I'll let you stay tonight- you have to stay out 7 nights before you can return to an Encore park. She was very rude, wouldn't let us go to the site TT assigned us and put us in a site she wanted us to go in. It all worked out but she is not a good representation of Oceanside or Thousand Trails. read more

The RV resort is clean and newly updated. Their site is approximately 15 min from Legoland. Bathroom is nice, and clean, pool lovely. Safe is very friendly. They are currently ski if construction. To update some sites . Train station across the street. The train does come by at night and makes some sound not too bothersome and did not wake me up. Had an enjoyable weekend, first time here and would definitely be back. The tent site options are great when traveling with non rv'ers. Pool area was well kept. This was our first visit here and won't be the last! We rolled in close to 10:00pm and had a little difficulty getting into our assigned spot. So we located one of our favorite workers there and she helped us get plugged into a bigger spot for the night! We went to the office in the morning to ask if we could stay there and they graciously accommodated our request! We felt so safe and it was extremely clean! Our teen age son and his friend came down to visit and ended up staying in one of the tent sites ! We all had such a great time using the jacuzzi and sitting around a camp fire sharing stories. My wife and I were skeptics before coming to this place. It had bad reviews in the past. We checked in on Thursday June 22, 2023. We have been impressed so far on how well the campground is maintained, the restrooms are cleaned and the camp sites are nice and cleaned as well. I talked to Dave . He was very polite and explained to me that Thousand Trails owns the RV resort now. Congratulations to Thousand Trails management and the crew at the site to turn this place around so positively. If we could give this place 10 stars we would. Hilary is amazing, thorough and patient. She made our first stay with our Thousand Trails membership such an amazing experience and is the reason we will be upgrading our membership. The staff is very friendly and they are always seen working around the grounds. It is so quiet and peaceful come night - you get the sound of the Oceanside coaster- but the comfort of the resort makes it almost impossible for it to be an issue at all. The bathrooms and amenities were all very clean and welcoming. Hooking up was easy, parking ample and the cabanas at the pool relaxing. This place is very close to so much to do and so many great places to eat. Primo's, Best pizza, Vigilante, Rita's, bowling... the list goes on and on. Thank you Hilary for an amazing family experience... we hope to be back very soon! I didnt catch one gentleman's name but he was super friendly too. Best managed rv campground in Oceanside! Jody and her staff are absolutely amazing and keep the resort immaculately clean and well run! Jody, Hillary and Dave have been incredibly cheerful and gracious to each and every guest. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The bathrooms offer big (square) rain shower heads. It's an awesome place where kids can be kids. We have a 4 year old and we tent camped! The area you camp at is cool with the deck. The weather, great! Everyone is so nice, they do a scavenger hunt for the kids and they get prizes, that was a hit! Every morning they also hide these squeeze toys they bring back for prizes, the big kids on the grounds are fast and grab them, so the people who work here hid a couple more for our group of young kids! It was so sweet I just had to write a review for how grateful we are for how great they are with the kids! They got another annual returner! Just wish they had more tent sites so I can bring a huge group! read more

Oceanside RV was taken over by encore properties last year (thousand trails) prior to that it was privately owened. My wife and I spent 6 weeks during the summer of 2021 with the cost of $76.00 per night witched included a long term stay discount, the following year we spent 8 weeks in 2022 for the same rate as the prior year. Prior to departure we were told we were not welcomed back the following year because they were no longer excepting long term stays. if we wanted to stay longer then two weeks we have to move to a different space (what pain in the a--s that is. So the thirty or so long termers (escaping desert heat) headed in different direction and we found a nicer more suitable rv park so we Headed that direction. Then the word gets out they had a change of heart and would welcome us back so a few of us said what the heck let's try it out.So we made reservations for six weeks. They charge my credit card three times for $162.00 they said that's how they do it the day of arrival they billed my credit card 1388.00 for a total of $110.00 per day we knew this going forward they have done a few improvements in the park but not enough charge $34.00 dollars a day more. As we were coming to the end of our six weeks I asked if I could extend for four more days as an old friend was coming to town that I have'nt seen in 52 years. They said fine billed my credit card $162.00 six days later they billed additional $441.00 that worked out to be $150.00 dollars a day for 4 days, they say I have to stay 14 days to get the $110.00 a day rate. I just spent 42 days in a row I just wanted to add 4 days to those 42 But oh no you have to do 14 more days to get that rate. As I said earlier the $110 dollar rate was pushing it but when your paying $150.00 per day that's plain old rip off it's not worth it no matter what they do to the park you have trains running thur it at least 10 times per day, you have bumper to bumper traffic at both entrances and everything has to be locked down at night do to thives. You won't find us returning along With the rest of our long term group we found a new home!!! FAS read more

My family and I recently stayed at this resort and we are immediately planning on coming back! Had such a wonderful experience even though it rained every day we were here. The staff is beyond helpful and kind. The owners were so sweet and friendly. We were informed that this park is having improvements done and you can absolutely see it! The pool was heated and the spa was lovely. The pool deck has wonderful loungers, a fire pit with seating, with a very nice shower and restrooms nearby. We used the laundry facility, and it was so clean easy to use. The community shower and restrooms were updated and honestly the nicest we've seen! They have a game room and bike and boogie board rentals. This just feels like a nice and safe park where the kids all ride around and play outside and everyone is so friendly. Also some of the nicer tents spaces I've come across. Again can not say enough about our experience! read more

First off, this place should be called the "Sprinter Noise Village" because it's located right near the tracks of the train and it runs every 10-15 minutes right by the "resort" with the conductor blaring his horn from around 3am to after midnight! So unappealing, but what's worse is the maintenance men think they are the managers and repeatedly told my friends to be quiet because they live on the property and told them they couldn't have their lights on or their tv inside their own trailer after 10pm! The train can be loud as all hell but god forbid someone talk outside their own trailer or watch a movie inside after 10...ridiculous!! Also, the pool was like warm bath water (gross), jacuzzi was insanely hot and the ocean was a dangerous walk across those train tracks only to be at an all-rock beach! Needless to say, I will never book another trip here again!! Way too expensive for what you get. read more
