However, now that we have been customers for years and our sales rep left, it takes multiple calls to even get through to customer service and then multiple follow up calls after since they have to email other departments to get an answer and do not call back. It seems like they are short staffed and for a big company like this should invest in more staff for customer service. That way they can provide the same experience we received in the beginning. It's been almost a month after I initially contacted them and my question still has not been answered. Seems like there is only one customer service rep and she definitely needs help.

After inspecting the roof, I discovered a very concerning issue. When SolarMax installed the solar panels, they hired a roofing company to modify the roof beforehand. That roofing work was never properly completed, leaving a large section of the roof without shingles and exposing bare wood. As a result, there are now multiple areas of our home showing signs of water intrusion and possible mold. I immediately contacted SolarMax and informed them that this was an urgent matter requiring prompt attention. More than 24 hours have passed, and I have not received a response. I was told they would reach out to the roofing company they used, but there has been no follow-up. What I do not understand is how SolarMax could proceed with installing the solar panels, mark the job as completed, and leave our home with such a significant roofing defect. I am extremely concerned about the potential extent of the damage to our home, as well as the possible health implications for my family. I have never had allergies in the past, yet I began experiencing them shortly after the panels were installed, which raises serious concerns about mold exposure. I am hopeful that SolarMax will take responsibility for this issue and fully address both the roofing defect and any resulting damage to our home. However, I am very disappointed by the lack of communication and urgency shown so far.

Paul, he only charged me $650. I think that is very reasonable, especially in this economy and the hard times people are facing. Also, he was nice enough that, when he showed me the first picture, there was miscommunication and the wrong plug was installed. My charger needed to be hard wired and a plug was installed instead. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

Since our original review we have emailed almost every 2 weeks to be met with either no response or a message that said they will not be work with us any longer. We received a formal civil suit from the solar panel supplier demanding we pay for panels that we already paid solar 360 for. We have tried to work with that company and they too are now nonresponsive. It has been 5 months. Our battery is still broken and our system is still not operational. We have filed a complaint with the state attorney general and the state license bureau and have placed credit card disputes with the credit card company. We expect to be in arbitration soon as it seems to be our only course of action at this point.

They were very prompt with their communications which was a great start. I scheduled an appointment with William on Aug 19, 2019. Here's the thing I loved most about the salesman William. He wasn't pushy at all with getting me to sign a contract or bugging me constantly if I had made a decision. He did check in a few times if I had made a decision but again not pushy. Not sure about anyone else but I hate pushy sales people and instantly get turned off. But back to William, he is a down to earth and up front salesman. So after meeting with 2 other companies just to see what my options were. I pulled the trigger and signed on with Simply Solar. The cost was a bit higher than the others but well worth it. Next person of communications was Ashley who is in house to keep the project moving forward. From start to finish her communication and timeliness in response was excellent. Ashley was constantly on top of communications with my roofing company as I was getting both done. As soon as the new roof was on the install Techs came in. I cant remember the names of the install tech but there were 2 of them and again like everyone else at Simply Solar they were top notch. Friendly, Super careful with the new roof, and went over exactly what they were going to do. I didn't realize how quick they would get it installed in just 2 days including a panel upgrade. After that was all done Dan again who was awesome came by to finish the stucco work where they had done the new panel upgrade and made it look finished. So now everything has been installed and we are just awaiting confirmation from SCE to go live. I have heard horror stories of people waiting months to be approved for going live with their solar. Simply Solar again was on top of communication with SCE and our system was up and running in less than a week after the install. Over all I think the whole process once things got started was probably less than 2 weeks. AMAZING!!!! Its been about 6 months now since I have had the panels and im so glad we got them. The first few months we were in the hole with SCE as the days were short but now that the days are longer and more sunny were putting more into the grid and chipping away at our yearly bill.
