    Braised kelp

I have been ordering food from this place via Weee and I also came here to purchase. Since the ownership change, this place has become much better. I could get most Taiwanese food here, such as Beef noodle soup, braised dishes, buns, and dumplings. All the food here is delicious!! When I first time came here, I didn't have a very good impression as nobody was at the counter. I waited for a while, then a man approached to the counter area but ended up doing something else instead of helping me. I waited for nearly 10 minutes to get someone's help. However, since the second visit, that hasn't happened again. Once the owner was there at the counter, and she offered me some samples to try. Later she even offered me a free drink. The owner was very friendly and nice. The store overall is clean. There are some tables and chairs in case you want to eat the food there. I haven't tried to eat there, but next time if I want to eat food sooner, I probably will.

Check it out!!! I remember went i visited Taipei, i tasted their breaded pork chop. It was lovely. This food place had the pork chop bento box with soysauce hard boiled egg, pickled veg and sausage. uuuuuh mmmah meeee. Gem of a place right inside the mall with Ranch 99 Market.

This place is the definition of hole in the wall unexpected goodness. Located in the ranch 99 in the Tukwila/ Kent area, it is an unassuming kitchen behind a counter with a 3 small tables. There are a ton of classic sides in the fridge (including intestines if you're into innards...) and frozen dumplings and buns for sale in addition to the hot food available as well. The hot foods are primarily bentos but what you really need to try is the beef noodle soup. It's probably the most authentic Taiwanese beef noodle soup I've had in the area (considering Monga, Looking for Chai, etc). The beef cuts are large and generous, though I wish it was a little more tender. The 酸菜 or pickled veggies in the soup are especially good. Order at the counter on the tablet or order from the owner who is nice too. Highly recommend for take out if you're in the area! Of note though, if you do dine in, everything comes in plastic take out containers.

Writing a limited review again. The most important thing to share is Champion Gourmet Services have changed owners. The new owner is a Taiwanese lady. She was the only person there when I went and was busy cooking, so I didn't interact much with her other than to pay for things. Some items previously mentioned or in the photos are not sold anymore. No beef jerky, no preserved fruits. I didn't have time to wait for hot foods, so I grabbed things from the fridge. The fridge has many Taiwanese braised food items (very dark brown marinate). For grins, I bought 5 different items. The braised tofu ($6) was my favorite, while I also liked braised dried tofu ($6), and braised eggs ($7). The braised duck wings ($12) have a very strong anise flavor that was too potent for me. The braised chicken feet were surprisingly extra dry. I opted to reboil both items again at home. They turned out surprisingly well after my modifications. Their freezer has a variety of frozen dumplings. If I was heading home immediately, I would have bought some. Lastly, they have a small menu of made to order foods, such as Taiwanese style popcorn chicken, beef noodle soup, stir-fried vermicelli, etc. All items are served only in to-go containers. They have two small tables where you can sit and eat, but it is best not to count on that. Consider this a take-out only eatery. Based only on what I bought, the rating should be more like a 3.5 Stars. I decided to round down because the proprietor seemed indifferent or even annoyed that we were there. Maybe she is annoyed this Yelper is taking photos to remind me of prices. Either way, a tiny bit of customer service would have been nice. I decided to round-down the rating to a 3 Stars.

Highly recommended authentic Taiwan flavor! Best in metro Seattle area.

Highly recommended authentic Taiwan flavor! Love the food, price is super reasonable, my go-to choice!

Staff is friendly and the food is absolutely AMAZING!!! You got to try their hot food items all the bento boxes are good. Also their specialty items in the fridge and freezer section are very fresh and good too. Highly recommended!!! Wow!

It is safe to say that they have the best and authentic Taiwanese food in the Seattle area. Prices are reasonable, and great portions. The owner is very nice too! The only complaint is that they close too early.

    Popcorn chicken lunch box yum!

I have been coming here for eight years now, the last time I've been inside 99 Ranch market. I saw that they were closed down, and I thought this business has closed. But actually, it was just getting remodeled and I'm so happy to see that it's back up and running the glow up is real. If you remembered how it looked like in the past, it wasn't too pretty lol but food was amazing. They now have a touch screen to order, hardwood floors and a new pretty counter. I always order the popcorn chicken lunch box, there are a few changes from the previous, there is no longer meat sauce on top of the rice, but in replacement, they have now added some fresh bok choy with yummy garlic onion oil sauce, a soy marinated tofu, plus chinese sausage. Love the upgrades and also the new containers. I also received a free milk tea which I had no idea that it came with the meal so that was a win-win. If I knew ahead of time, I wouldn't have gone next-door to grab a drink from the sugarcane place. I would highly recommend trying their food here. It's delicious and of course you already know I will be back. I miss seeing the granny and young guy that used to work here, it seems like there are new workers, other than that I am just happy to know that this establishment is still up and running.

One bite and instantly felt like I was back in Taiwan. Delicious. Will definitely be back for more noms.

If you are into Asian food, and you happen to be in Renton area, I recommend a newly opened restaurant for you. It's an authentic Taiwanese restaurant which serves warm takeout food as well as frozen ones Iike dumplings. It's located inside the Great Wall Mall. Check it out.

Off of central in Kent closer to s 277th street. There was only one young person in the place with us. Two guys working the place. The owner who catered to us, and the cook. Not sure why I never heard of this place. Owner said they have been open for 3 years now. The food came out fast. We actually ordered too much we had it for three more meals at home. I think overall the food was good. Like I was telling the owner I normally drive to Canada to get Chinese food, or San Fran for dim sum. I'm pretty hard to please. But since I like to support local, I'll bring my friends here another time for lunch. The decor was minimal but nice. From the outside it looked like it was closed, and like it was a home or doctors office. It's right next to a bikini barista. So we missed it the first time. It's a brick building. The tea was really good. The perfect amount of Chinese leaves, and it was nice and hot for a cold blistery day even if it's almost spring.

The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall leading to ranch 99 (Asian supermarket). I've had this spot pinned on my Google Maps for the longest time but just never had the opportunity to make the drive there. This place was easy to miss if you don't look carefully so I'm glad I saw this recommended by a Seattle foodie I follow on instagram. We ordered the spicy braised beef noodles and steamed dumplings to share since we weren't that hungry. The braised beef noodles BLEW ME AWAY. The broth was so rich and savory, my mom commented that it tasted better than the one at din tai fung (we are frequent visitors & I agree) and the noodles were chewy (I love thick noodles!!). The dumplings were very juicy and flavorful but nothing too special. Service was prompt and servers were really friendly. There were so many other dishes on the menu featuring traditional Chinese dishes that looked delicious and so I do want to come back to try those when I am hungry! But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC and in my apartment building. Seriously terrible chemical smell while you eat. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. Probably best dim sum in South King County. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area. But if I'm doing takeout, I might as well just go to Dim Sum House on Beacon Hill (much more reasonable prices and good quality).
