Wow..wish I'd known about this place sooner! I've been driving to Costa Mesa for years to get my smog done when this little gem was hidden around the corner from me all this time! Nicest man ever runs it and he gets you in and out in a jiffy - think mine took 20 mins total. He's also quick to greet you and let you know the wait time AND it's a legitimate time estimate unlike other places. HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is looking for a quick, honesty and fairly priced smog in this area! :) read more

Fast, friendly, and great overall service!! Upon arriving we were greeted promptly by Mario. He directed us to the waiting area conveniently located in the garage which allows you to actually watch as your car gets tested. He brought us some paperwork and then BOOM--smog check done. It took a little while longer than I had scheduled but overall the service was far, far superior to that of another place I started my smog test. Man working was earnest -- not sure if he was the owner -- but here's a great small business trying its best to provide a great service, for a reasonable price, and be nickeled to death by the State (yeah, I know what it's like). 2 stars for the price - more expensive than other places around. I should have called ahead to verify pricing. It's regulary $56.75 for a newer car and you can find a coupon for $15 off. The total is $50 with the coupon however $0.50 more to use your credit card. He doesn't tell you the CC surcharge until it is done and no there are sign anywhere. If it did, I didn't see it. Average smog check is about $40 w/ cert. 4 stars for the wait time and service - clean place, not grimy at all. Didn't seem too busy and no appointment necessary. It was an easy in and out, was done in about 35 minutes. Will I go back? Probably not - only because I know I can go somewhere else for cheaper. read more

This is the nicest smog check station I've ever been to. Unlike other stations where you have to stand around in a bunch of grease and dirt, this place has super clean floors, restroom and a nice seating area with lots of nice plants. The technician is super friendly and very helpful. I looked around and the price is great (plus they offer a coupon for $15 off on certain cars). If you need to visit a smog check station this is the place because it's quick, clean, and a great value. read more

Quick, honest, and friendly. The service here was great, but I think I was lucky as no one else was there at the time so I got right in. I was able to download a coupon for $15 off which was accepted with no problem. Would absolutely recommend for smog testing. read more

The guy is pretty straight forward. The only reason I didn't give him a 5 is because his flier says 29.99 for a smog. When you get there he ads 8 dollars for the certificate and if you drive a truck another 10.00. 50 bucks is about average for smog so I wasn't too upset. read more

There are tons of stations that are cheaper and there are many that cheat shamelessly. This is not one of those places. This is a very solid guy to whom you can trust your car to get tested. He's VERY thorough and doesn't cut corners. (This is exactly how all the stations should be so us Californians can keep getting cleaner air around here). My car failed the first time and then got re-tested after changing spark plugs and cleaning out the engine for a good pass. As a bonus, no wait at all. read more

This place is great - I'm female and truly appreciate a clean place with a friendly, helpful, knowledgeable guy there to help me get my car smogged. A few years ago, I had an old car that initially failed and he patiently showed me my results and suggested a couple of things a mechanic might do to help it pass. I got the inexpensive repairs and my car sailed through on the second free retest. I've been going to him for years now, and have sent friends and family members there too.
