I was in the area for work and decided to stop by for lunch. When I walked in, one the owners, Heather, greeted me right away. She gave me a recommendation and tried their cheesesteak sandwich. I was very satisfied with the results. Matt did an excellent job cooking. Everything was well blended together, and the roll was nice and crispy too. Perfect amount of cheese to steak ratio, and the onions were fried just right. I would totally go back here again, the service and the food alone was totally worth it. Compared to the many other options for cheesesteaks in the area, this would sadly rank on the lower end for us. We ordered through Grubhub (they are not available on DoorDash), and the food arrived quickly and was bagged up nicely. The cheesesteak I ordered from their regular menu didn't seem to have much to it. The steak flavor was okay and the roll was super soft, but there just wasn't enough filling to justify the price, especially when you can find $18 cheesesteaks elsewhere that are absolutely packed. The hot and honey chicken cheesesteak had a tasty flavor and the sauce they use is spot on for that style of sandwich, but it still felt a little light on overall fullness. The fries weren't anything special, and some were sadly still cold and not salted. The poppers definitely seemed frozen and undercooked since you could still see the cheese inside separating instead of fully melted. Sadly, this either wasn't our moment to order from Champs or this is just the way they do things. Maybe we will circle back another time to give this Philly sports bar a second shot. read more

Tried a regular on cooper sharp and a belly blower loaded fry, the fries were fine but definitely have to get a cheesesteak from them. I'd never been down this main street but spotted some adorable restaurants that have been on my try list for a while. This place is small and the staff were very friendly. I just wanted a simple cheesesteak with Cooper sharp cheese. You have a choice of seeded or unseeded rolls, so I went with seeded for a bit more flavor. Was it juicy? Yup. Was it tasty? Yup. This hoagie was more than a mouthful! Well worth the $12.95 price tag. I really enjoyed the array of flavors from the sharpness of the cheese to the tang of the mustard to the slight spiciness from the horseradish pickles and the smokeyness from the pastrami. @jason.kelce needs to get his @$$ down to Champs to sink his tastebuds into this sandwich. My husband and I went to Champs for the first time last week for my birthday, and we really enjoyed it! The outside looks unassuming, but when we walked in, I felt like I was back in the middle of football season (despite the intensity of the heat and humidity of the summer we left on the porch). If you're missing the fall and football, this is a great place to drop in to escape the summer. I especially enjoyed watching the compilation of the Eagles tush push plays on the TV while we waited for our food which prompted lively discussion between my husband and I about the ridiculous efforts others in the NFL are making to try to ban the play. We both ordered regular cheesesteaks (one with wiz, one with sharp) for take-out, because a cheesesteak place is only as good as it's classic steak, right? We drove all the way back to Cherry Hill to eat, and those steaks were still piping hot! You can tell that they don't skimp on the steaks, and they're really cooking some quality stuff on the grill. My husband would've preferred more sharp cheese on his steak, but my wiz steak was perfect. The owner was so nice and made us feel so welcome. I definitely plan on coming back, especially since we're so often around town and church up the road at Haddon Heights Baptist. Got a turkey cheese hoagie on a Monday afternoon. Everything on it, tomato onion salt pepper oregano oil vinegar etc. Absolutely incredible. Definitely recommend the seeded roll. Huge hoagie for like $12 and a soda and chips which if you really want could be two smaller meals with the size of the hoagie. Service was great, super friendly!! This place has two employees quit and they posted a help wanted post on Facebook for all to see! They talked so bad about the two employees and even said they may have been doing drug?!?!? It doesn't matter why they quit they have every right to quit a job! If you thought they were doing drugs it was ok for them to do drugs the whole year but became a problem when they quit?!?! If you bashed them or gaslit employees like how this post it wrote it wouldn't even take me a year to quit!
