Well. We came about 1:30 pm on a Sunday after being at the local baseball fields for a tournament. The space is beautiful. We grabbed a table. The waitress got us started with drinks! Would have preferred a cup with a lid for my 5 year old. We ordered a pizza, fries and cheesesteak without cheese. My 10 year old wanted it and doesn't eat cheese. He devoured it, my husband ate the other half, despite no cheese, he really enjoyed it and the roll! The fries, perfection, totally crispy. The pizza, darn I wanted it to be great. It was soggy and floppy but the last 2-2.5 inches of the slice were how the pizza is likely supposed to be. We did half with sausage. Would go back for the cheesesteak. Seems they have a bar as well.

Finally tried lillo's in Gloucester city. Pictured is half the sandwich. The cheesesteak is very good. Large pieces of onions, dare I say it had too much cheese!! Every time I put the sandwich down I had to wipe my hands. Very messy. The roll was tasty but was very dense and chewy. Not exactly to my liking but not horrible. A personal pet peeve is wrapping the paper into the sandwich making you have to reassemble the sandwich to eat it. Ggggrrrr If you look on the website the menu lists the sandwich much cheaper than the actual cost. Be forewarned. Overall a very good sandwich, does it meet the hype? You will have to decide that for yourself.

Ranking the cheesesteaks I've tried lately has become a serious challenge, but Lillo's might have just claimed the top spot, or at least placed near it. We ordered over DoorDash and it arrived quick, hot, and ready in very secure packaging that kept everything fresh. Lillo's was offering a BOGO deal for fries, and they didn't disappoint at all. The portions were loaded with fries that had a delicious, slightly sweet taste to them that made them stand out. These sandwiches are loaded with perfectly cooked, cheesy meat, and every bite had us making the yum face. I read that Lillo's does a garlic spread for their sandwiches, and that is the key ingredient because it absolutely shines through with every bite. I still love my Gouldsburger and Burgerr Runn (formally Smash Bros), but Lillo's might be making its way into the rotation more frequently.

Restaurant Review - Lillo's, Gloucester City, NJ Lillo's offers a warm, inviting ambiance that makes a strong first impression, and overall service is friendly--though it could benefit from a bit more attentiveness. During our visit, we had to request refills for soda and ask for hot pepper flakes, small details that, if tightened up, would elevate the experience. The food itself shows promise with a few standout items. The chicken cutlet was good in flavor but leaned dry and would benefit from a sauce component to round it out. Their pizza comes in a single size--an XL 18-inch pie. The crust was crisp and well-executed, but the sauce could use more depth and seasoning, perhaps a touch of Parmesan, oregano, and garlic to bring it to life. The clear star of the menu is the cheesesteak. Ordered with fried onions, it arrived on their house-made sesame bread, which truly sets it apart. The roll is excellent--fresh, flavorful, and sturdy enough to hold everything together. It's easily the highlight of the meal and a strong reason to return. Despite a few areas for refinement, Lillo's delivers enough charm and standout flavors--especially that cheesesteak--to make it a spot worth revisiting. We'll definitely be back.

Pizza was burnt, sauce tasted straight from can no seasoning. Cheesesteak was ok but the roll tasted like previous day

The onions weren't really sautéed as much as I like either. The beans and mac were unfortunately some of the most flavorless sides I've had in a long time. The beans almost had a sour taste. If you are used to Bush's Baked Beans these aren't it for you. Tenders were ok and thank goodness the tots were right. Other than that I'll probably continue my search for a good local hot dog joint.

They picked a perfect spot in Bristol Borough that they seemed to have partnered with Naked Brewing on. If you have kids the downstairs area is ok, but with live music I had to take my son upstairs to preserve our hearing! We found parking in the large municipal lot behind the building. Upstairs we found cozier seating at a high top table with service. Downstairs I believe you have to walk up to the bar or just sit at the bar for service. I also don't believe the full beer menu is available downstairs. The menu is full of tempting toppings and styles with your choice of regular/footlong dogs, hot sausage or kielbasa. I had a hot sausage with pepper hash and coleslaw. It had a snappy skin, decent heat and was delicious when paired with the sweet coleslaw and pepper hash. My friend ordered frank and tots and reported it to be delicious and filling. My son had a regular dog and we all shared a big pretzel with beer cheese. I had an IPA named Thank Frank that was about average for a West Coast style IPA and my pal had a couple of their darker offerings that he wasn't impressed with. Our server was nice and gave a great recommendation to add the pepper hash. She wasn't the fastest at coming to check on our beers so we bailed. I had one and she never asked if I wanted another and never refilled our waters. Prices weren't too bad. I would definitely return for some more of the interesting creations on the dawg menu, but the brews are really nothing special. Good solid time here and kid friendly, not so great service or beer.

It is a captivating piece of Jersey. It is well epitomized by The Hot Dog Shack and its menu board of more than two dozen customized frankfurter possibilities. I was Anthony's first customer of the day, and he treated me well. I went with his Chicago Dog (see photo) which came as described and was a mouthful to consume. I had to apply pressure and squeeze this creation down to a size that fit into my mouth from first bite to last. All beef wiener, potato roll and a side table for garnish. He even made me a cup of coffee on the house. Fun deliciousness all the way. And the surrounding buildings were just as charming and worthy of closer inspection. The cafe next door had some worthy looking baked goods that would have made a nice dessert had I the time to sit in their lovely parlor and indulge. Next time, for sure. I also had a fascinating conversation while I ate my hot dog, with Anthony's friend, Steve, who had been a minor league baseball star both in the USA and Europe. I saw old clippings about his success, and compared notes about living overseas; he as an athlete. Me as a student and businessman. That conversation made my day. So, although I stopped by for a hot dog, I left with something even more priceless - a totally unexpected meeting that was richer than I could have imagined when I woke up this morning. 5 Stars for the Dog and Conversation.

To give you some more context, we parked our car about 20 steps around the corner from Haute Dog. We got our pups to go, tried the first bite as we stepped outside, and 3 dogs were gone before we made it back to the car. This place is SPECTACULAR, and I don't use that term lightly. We came minutes before closing and the workers greeted us like long lost family, asking about our day and where we were from. We shared some laughs telling the owner about our adventure day to a UFO house in Willingboro. The taste of the dogs was spectacular- my husband got the Horsefeather (an ideally horseradish tasting dog) and I got the Haute Mess (homemade pickle cream with hot jelly). We shared a mini meatball dog too. The buns were so fresh... even at the end of the day! The father even showed and told us about the process of how they're made. So fun! We got free cookies and funky stickers to go, the prices are insanely reasonable, the decor is so on point- clean + chic-, the dogs taste OUT OF THIS WORLD, and the workers/owners... man, we just need more people like them in this world. This place is most definitely a 15/5. Can't wait to come back!

I placed my order online and only had to wait a few minutes when I was there. One thing I wasn't nuts about was seeing a bunch of fries already packed sitting under a heat lamp when I got there. A young gentleman was packing the to go orders who seemed a little flustered which made sense cause it seemed there was a rush happening, but wound up forgetting to give me the side of cheese sauce I ordered. I should have checked myself so it's a little on me, but I did make it a point to ask him if it was in the bag and he said yes. When I tried the fries at first, they were actually excellent. Perfectly warm, crispy, and salty however after sitting out only for about 5-10 minutes, they took on a texture of staleness which was disappointing but I suppose it's from already sitting out under the lamp. I feel like if they were made to order, they'd probably stay fresher a bit longer. I got the roast pork sandwich with provolone and roasted red peppers which was very good! The pork was seasoned well, a little peppery which I love. Roasted red peppers were good too! As much as I loved it, it was absolutely swimming in juice or oil from the peppers so it was extremely messy, but again, delicious! We also ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich called the hoagie which was great. They make a wonderful cutlet! I'd for sure come back, but maybe skip the fries next time.

I was glad it was hot because I had an hour drive home before I would get to consume it. Yes. I loved every bite. The hot dog was pleasantly garlicy with a snap from my incisors. The roll held up its end of the bargain with no loss of support for its contents. The corn mix was cheesy while sweet from the kernels. Location is in a strip mall with a few other eateries and stores . It was alot going on. As mentioned it was a Saturday and many patrons were coming in to order takeout or picking up orders. It was their 5th anniversary of the business opening. There was a DJ and a podcaster, videographer and cameraman onsite doing a food review. There was also a toy drive and if you brought a toy you got to spin a wheel to win a prize. The establishment is small so with the DJ and podcaster/ entourage and the toy drive there was not much seating available. The wait was extremely long. I had to ask an employee to check my order status twice each time she never came back with update. We were there for about an hour. I saw an order come up waited about 15 min then asked them to check if that was my order and it was. The food was not hot, they didn't give me the signature sauce that came with my order. The strawberry lemonade was delicious, the wings were decent, the fish sandwich and fish platter both looked amazing but was just OK. Didn't care for the sweet potato fries. I truly think it was because the food wasn't hot and the fries had wilted. The set up inside is a bit off with the ordering kiosk right in front of bar stool seating. The kiosk should probably be in the corner on the right side when you first walk in. Away from where folks sit and eat. It's distracting when you're sitting at a stool and the line is long with folks ordering and waiting for take out orders. I would try them again but on a day when there isn't so much going on to get the real experience of the quality of food. I ordered a fish platter, 10 wings, sweet potato fries , strawberry lemonade and a small fountain drink. My friend ordered the fish sandwich, fried shrimp platter and two can sodas.
