He politely told them the owner doesn't want him to adjust the temperature. When our order was brought to the table I asked also telling him it was too hot and the staff in the kitchen must be miserable. He looked nervous but said maybe he could adjust the temperature a little bit and hopefully the owner won't notice. It got a bit cooler as we are. Now for the food........it was so salty that neither of us finished our meals. No other flavor except for salt......so much salt and small portions. If the owner is willing to sacrifice the well being of the employees and quality of food then I'll dine elsewhere.

Champs Chicken is a hot food counter located inside of the CPC - Culpeper Petroleum Cooperative - a combo gas station and convenience store. I was planning on ordering a custom breakfast sandwich - but when I asked, they stated they were all out of "breakfast" food supplies. I wanted to order a Bacon, Egg, &Cheese biscuit - with extra Bacon & Cheese; and a Sausage, Egg, & Cheese with extra Sausage & Cheese. But could not due to them running out of breakfast food supplies. I ended up purchasing one each of their standard pre-made Bacon, Egg, & Cheese and Sausage, Egg, & Cheese from the warmer. They were good, but still disappointed I could not get custom made orders. #ChampsChicken

Yeah, we stop for coffee and see the fried chicken, fish, shrimp stand towards the back and we ask the cashier if it's any good. She highly recommends and says they bread and fry it onsite everyday. OK...we are kinda hungry so we give it a shot. Fried tenders and shrimp to munch on as a snack in the car. We pay and head back on the road. As we dig in we discover tasty, fresh chicken tenders and shrimp with a nice peppery seasoned crunchy exterior with little grease. Man, these are tasty. The whole family loves it. Can't wait to stop by again on our next trip to Cville. We've all been talking about it. Don't let the outward appearance fool you...they make some delicious fried morsels here. Make the stop! For me, their chicken has a great taste and by the time I bring it home and open the long box the chicken is warm and the fries are cold. Their takeaway service is nothing special, not in Warrenton, but eventually they will have your order ready, maybe. Price is expense but so are the other fast food chicken locations. Macaroni and cheese and coleslaw slaw were nice portion. The cashier knew we were first timers and asked how everything was. It was well worth the trip!
