Used to be the best jewelry store in Athens. Customer service was top notch. They always stood behind anything they sold. As of July 2026, some other people have bought them out. They're still operating under the same name, but they are nothing like it's always been. One of the new owners said they would no longer offer their lifetime warranty. The woman was so ugly because they had to replace a clasp on a chain I had bought there. She said the chain wasn't purchased there and was gonna charge me over $160 to replace the clasp and clean it. When I went to pick it up, I showed her the receipt where I had purchased the chain there. She was not happy. She said they were not going to keep paying for these things.After 30+ years, I walked out for the last time. Such a shame. read more

Truly DISGUSTED with the fact that I chose to give them my business. We purchased a ring guard from them and had it resized and were essentially guaranteed that everything would fit and be perfect. Not only does in not fit but properly but the back of the guard doesn't even touch her finger because the opening will not let the ring sit properly. To make things even better my Fiancée was told to take it home and wear it and it would "feel better after a few days" Look at the photo and tell me why they let her walk out of the store like this after she tried it on and voiced her concern!! Crap customer service and THEY HAVE A NO RETURN POLICY!! Even if you buy it from them and THEY do the alteration they still will not do a return!! BEWARE !! Take your jewelry repairs and additions elsewhere is my advice In the first week of December they refused to put a new watch band on my watch even though the store was not busy. They Said not doing jewelry repairs until a month later -after the holidays- why? -in case they might get busy- They said "6 people might come in at once" so they could not accept my small job even though I had no time limit on getting it done. Good business practice- since we wanted to give them our business- might have been better to say something like -"we can't promise to get to it quickly, but we would be happy to Work on it between customers if you would like to leave it here for a couple of days.*. ?? Irene, David and crew are friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Service is top notch and prices are definitely reasonable. My wife and I took our time travelling to several different stores looking for not only the right ring but a comfortable buying experience. I came in several times with different questions before making the purchase and every time I was immediately greeted by Chris, Aria and usually the owner who were all very warm, patient and welcoming. I finally made the big purchase and got the ring back within the time frame discussed and it is amazing. Most important she loves it. Doesn't even deserve one start. Very poor customer service! Times are hard for everyone, but a little courtesy goes a long way. Thankful for the kind person at Reeve's in Athens, GA. A short distance away and worth it!! I was informed that 1 of the 3 wedding rings I purchased from Chandlee's wasn't even real...he had to ask what it was! Just asking to get some money back from Chandlee's by reselling my never before worn rings that were purchased in January of this year, but I was informed that won't be possible (couldn't even give me a ballpark dollar amount) until at least May 1st. The honest business person at Reeve's told me exactly what to do. He even said mention their billboard above Chick-fil-a that says "We Buy Gold!" I will never be going back to Chandlee's. I knew that a refund was not going to happen. The man I spoke with on the phone had no other explanation and didn't even offer an ounce of sympathy. He went to several other jewelry stores before Chandlee and nobody provided the service and knowledge that Chandlee did. He was so happy with the service and transaction that he was very excited to go back to get our wedding bands. We went together for that and I was amazed at how nice and informative they were there! I didn't feel like someone was trying to sell me a ring just to make money- they really listened to me and helped me pick out the perfect ring.
