I was staying at The Hampton Inn which is less than 2 blocks away from Chandler's and was looking for a great cup of coffee. The very nice lady at the front desk told me to check them out. I walked in on a very warm afternoon and was greeted immediately. This place is super cute. There's so much seating too!! Hannah helped me and I took her suggestion and ordered a hot salted honey latte with oat milk and grabbed a huge ginger molasses cookie that was tempting me at the counter. The coffee was so good, I'd never had that combo before, I'm glad I ordered the large. The cookie was amazing, so soft and delicious. If I wasn't on a mission to get back to the hotel for a work call, I would have hung out there for a little while. I'll be back. read more

I came back to Chandler's yesterday, and I have to say--the service was SO much better this time! My first experience wasn't the best. The coffee was good, but the service left something to be desired. This time, the staff was friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. I sometimes get overwhelmed ordering coffee when I'm unfamiliar with a menu, but they took the time to answer my questions and actually recommend something for me, which I really appreciated. I ordered a salted caramel latte with cupcake cold foam, and it was surprisingly not overly sweet--just really good! They have a great variety of syrups and options to customize your coffee. I also didn't realize how much Chandler's has to offer beyond coffee. They have food, mimosas, other beverages, live music, a pool table, outdoor seating, and a cute selection of things for sale, including books and dog leashes. The atmosphere is artsy, relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of seating for hanging out or getting some work done. I also love the little displays featuring local businesses and events. Overall, good coffee, reasonable prices, a great atmosphere, and much-improved customer service. My second experience definitely redeemed my first, and I'll be back! read more

Conveniently located coffee shop downtown! I've been here several times since Chandlers took over the previous location and it's always a great time. They have a big variety of items available including alcoholic beverages as well as smoothies and food. The staff is always welcoming and accommodating and the environment is inviting. It's definitely a space that can be used for working, an afternoon pick me up, or a meetup with friends. The items are a little pricey but I feel like it's comparable with most downtown coffee shops. read more

Like the vibe of this place on a Friday night with NC FOLK FESTIVAL starting up blocks away. This coffee plus shop is spacious. People creating energy with karaoke goes to the entrance. Pleasantly surprised to find a pool table towards the back along with an outside small courtyard. I love that is no 1920s plus or minus structure. Good for traffic the only place must be good. Really young people here tonight kind of probably college age. Got a great vibe along with the other businesses that are nearby. I will continue to sip and snack at Chandler's until the heat death of the universe. After The Green Bean started being lame, we were all worried this iconic spot would be cooked for good, chat. But turns out it just needed to be run by folks who care about what employees need. Service is impeccable as you're met with people way cooler than you at the counter. They don't judge your order, they just make that thing you said in Starbucks words for you with a smile. I'm sure you are the subject of deserving derision later during secret parties I'm sure they all have, but that's neither here nor there. I will be the first to say, initially I did not like Chandlers. I visited close to when they first opened and it felt very chaotic with a lot of people and when I saw the prices of the coffee, I thought they were crazy. I personally had liked Green Bean when it transferred under new management. However, I gave Chandlers a few other shots and it has become my husband and my go-to place to sit and have a cup of coffee when we have a medium amount of time to chill. I have come around to the higher prices given the location, vibe, and different offerings they have. Always thought they had good coffee (lattes, cappuccino, etc). I also noticed the size of my cappuccino was very reasonable given the size of it compared to the size of the one I get from another coffee shop. I no longer get any special latte or any added syrup to help keep the cost of my coffee in the range I prefer to pay. The last two times I have got the veggie breakfast sandwich; once on a sun-dried tomato bagel and once on an everything bagel. Both tasted good. Chandlers definitely had a homey vibe. When you walk, there is a display of wrapped books that can be purchased; kind of like a blind date with a book. They have local items near the register that can be purchased as well and a pool table at the back. Given the liveliness, I personally find it hard to read there which is what I like to do when I go get coffee, so for that reason and the higher prices, I only give it 4 out of 5. read more

I attended Chandler's Latte & Love Drag Brunch in February, which was their first drag event. My group ordered VIP tickets (which were incredibly reasonably priced at $20) which got us a bottle of champagne for mimosas and a flatbread to share in addition to the show. Outside of a delayed start due to the amount of people attending in a small space, it was a fun and well executed event. The Queens performing were giving it their all as well as the hard working staff to keep up with food and drink demand from all in attendance. We shared the Breakfast flat bread (scrambled egg, sausage, cheddar on a gravy base garnished with scallions). I don't think I've ever had a gravy base flatbread, but I will happily have many more. It was very hearty and delicious. It satisfied my initial breakfast craving with my Chai latte and mimosas. Later on I also ordered the Notorious F.I.G. Flatbread (goat cheese prosciutto, arugula on fig Jane based topped with hot honey) for myself to snack on. I hope this is on menu on the regular as the combination of flavors was so good. Presentation of both of these flatbreads were also very appealing. The bright red color and taste of my Anita-nother cocktail (Rose, Gin, raspberry purée, club soda) was perfect for the occasion. What a fun afternoon filled with so much love! I think, and hope, they will do more of these in the future (one suggestion is not putting VIPs upfront by window as that actually separated us from the action as it was difficult to see when performances happening in the back.) This use to be Green Bean. However, I believe that if you loved Green Bean, you'll enjoy Chandler's. It was very busy when I went, but despite that, the vibe is laid back. This is definitely a spot that I sit in and lose time because it's so chill. I dined in and watched a group of friends play pool. They were cool with me watching. I came here for a Yelp! Event, and returned to try the Notorious F.I.G. I love a good sweet and savory. I would definitely have the arugula chopped down. It made it a difficult for me to eat. But I love that I was able to taste everything listed in the description. I want to try other things on the menu, but I'm certain I won't because this is my favorite. Decided to stop by Chandler's for a quick meeting with a friend. I have to say that one step in the door and you are captured by the aesthetic and vibe. New coffee shop alert! Well, a fresh coat of paint on an old favorite, with all the charm you've come to expect of it's predecessor. The Chandlers were in heavy contact and cooperation when buying the original Green Bean, and the way the shop was buzzing even late in the afternoon on a Wednesday surely speaks to that. Inside you'll find a lively atmosphere around the counter but with plenty of quiet corners. People working on their computers solo, enjoying a drink with friends, or even a round of pool in the back. In other words, perfect vibes here, no matter your reason for visiting. I came to get a pick me up following a couple downtown meetings, and before a workout. Stopped in for my standard iced mocha latte with oat milk this time. The drink was strong but balanced, just enough milk, coffee, and chocolate syrup to hit all the notes. I worked for an hour and a half comfortably at one of the tables, connected to the wifi that still bears The Green Bean's SSID. They've got some alcohol and food available at the moment with more on the way later once all hurdles have been jumped over. In the end, if you loved the Green Bean, you are sure to love Chandler's. It's a very hip and cozy spot, offering both coffee and cocktails. Lots of seating options suitable for lounging or working. There are also a ton of coffee options, but no prices listed which is mainly why I'm only giving 4 stars vs 5. I do appreciate transparency of pricing on menus, and I did end up spending $10.50 on a latte after tip. It was a great drink but I'm not sure it was worth that, but it could just be what I ordered! I will definitely be back to check out their food which looked (and smelled!) yummy, and their highly recommended cocktails (both menus of which have prices listed). Excited to visit Chandlers, formerly the Green Bean. We visited around 2:30 pm on a Saturday. I had a maple decaf latte with oat milk and my BF got a mocha with almond milk. We got cookies as well! The oatmeal raisin by sweet temptations (soo soft!) and the salted chocolate chip from black magnolia (crisp but perfect as well!) The staff was all super sweet and the owner Alexis Chandler was making drinks and taking orders along with 3-4 staff. We sat at the bar area and quickly got our drinks. There were people working on their laptops enjoying coffee, people walking in grabbing drinks, super positive vibe and environment. My coffee (the mocha latte) was so good! In a world where "burnt" coffee is the norm (cough Starbucks, and others downtown Greensboro I won't name) this was honestly some of the best. Alexis and her husband took a business with a failing reputation and turned it into a Greensboro Gem! Great look and feel - warm and welcoming!
