I came in pretty early, grabbed a game, and just enjoyed the atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you can sit alone with a book and feel completely comfortable... and I absolutely plan to do that next time. I'm assuming the person running everything was the owner, and if so -- wow. Cooking, waiting tables, checking on guests -- all while still being warm and present. My wife and I came for a bite because it looked very inviting and we like to try new places. My wife got a quiche and was very happy with it and I got chicken biscuits. I really enjoyed that as well. The chicken was fresh and crispy and was really flavorful, and the biscuits were nice and fresh as well. After we left my wife thought she left her sunglasses there, and we called right before they closed and hurried back to try to find them. They looked and we looked and couldn't find them. I really wanted to be able to give this place 5 stars because our experience started out great. Our server was wonderful and was very transparent about how her shift ended at 1, so we knew to expect that she'd likely be leaving before we left. This place is super cute and has very comfy chairs! You can sit either inside or outside on their patio. Our lattes came out and they were delicious! Our chicken biscuits and my friend's cheese grits came out and looked amazing! And then came the whipped goat cheese dip - which looked like its was taken off someone else's table and just had crispy onions added on top. The crostinis were just pieces of toasted sourdough and from the looks of it we were about to be disappointed. The grits and chicken biscuits were wonderful! I definitely recommend the chicken biscuits to share. You get two biscuits with a hefty piece of chicken on them, pimento cheese, a pickle, and a honey drizzle. The grits were super tasty and had pimento cheese in them! Then came the sad part of our experience - the whipped goat cheese. What promised to be "shareable" was barely enough goat cheese to top the six pieces of sourdough bread (we only ate four slices total). The menu said there would be bacon involved, there wasn't a single piece of bacon in there. The whole dish seemed to be lacking something to tie it together. Maybe it would have been better with more cheese, or with bacon, even adding a bit of jam would spice up the flavor. It was a very mediocre dish for the price point. As mentioned, our server came to our table just before one and asked if we wanted to close out with her or have our tickets transferred to another server. We planned to be there awhile longer, and expressed this, but said we'd close out with her - after all, she did most of the work! Service stopped for us after that. Nobody refilled out waters, nobody came to see if we wanted anything else (we would have ordered more). It was like table service didn't exist. I stayed for another hour and my friend was still there when I left. I'm hoping next visit will be a better one, as this just didn't quite fit my expectations! read more

Inside was small, but there were enough seats for a few guests and there was also a large outdoor patio. My latte was amazing. Tasted great. Wasn't too sweet and I could really taste all the flavors and the actual coffee. I also got a cinnamon roll with fruit. It was meh. A little dry and unseasoned. Tasted like plain bread. This is a really cute spot! The outdoor space was really nice and surprisingly big. The staff were super friendly and attentive. I got the shaken espresso with their homemade pumpkin syrup and it was perfect. Wasn't too sweet and had the perfect amount of oat milk. There was a surprising amount of food options for a coffee spot. I got the pimento cheese grits which I loved. The grits were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned. The eggs weren't overcooked, although I do typically like them a little more runny. The bacon was also good, but it seemed to be there more for aesthetics since you couldn't really mix them with the grits because they were full strips. The portion was really the only thing I was disappointed by. It's good if you're watching your calories but for $14 grits I shouldn't leave hungry. read more

I had been eyeballing this place for a lil while now, so I decided today's the day I give this place a shot for my lunch and midday caffeine fix. It was such a cozy, relaxing atmosphere when walking in, the ladies behind the counter were extremely kind. I also saw that they utilize their own beans, which is a plus for me. The s'mores iced coffee was definitely a part of my normal palette, not too sweet and not too strong. The only reason why I give this a 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the Caesar wrap I had. The fried chicken inside of it was super dry and tasted like it was chicken tenders out of the freezers. If recommendations are allowed with these posts, this wrap would have been so much better with a grilled chicken option and freshly fried chicken. Really cute and ~cozy~ cafe with coffee and alcoholic beverage options plus food. My friend and I came for trivia on Wednesday night and had a blast. Our waitress, Keegan, was so sweet and fun. The cafe itself is pretty large or at least has quite a bit of seating, a nice bar, and the outdoor patio area is huge! And beautiful. We each had a wine flight and I loved all the ones I chose. They also have a nice selection of beers. We split the Parmesan and Herb fries. WOW! These were amazing! I was really surprised. I saw other dishes go by that looked equally as delicious and I'm told they have some of the best brunch in town. Parking is easy as they're in a large shopping center. Wow! What a great addition to the Battleground area. This cafe is indeed very cozy and quite delicious. They offer a variety of drinks - coffee, tea and alcohol. So you can get a latte, an earl gray, a glass of bubbly or a nice cold one. Whatever you're in the mood for - they've got it! The food is also amazing! My favorite thing on the menu is the fried pickles. Now, I LOVE fried pickles and lemme tell ya- these are the best I've EVER had. There's something about the batter that is just so perfect and crispy and flavorful. The pepper crusted goat cheese with roasted red pepper and confit garlic is also incredibly tasty. It comes paired with crackers and bread (we had to ask for more). I love to get some goat cheese and a lil garlic clove and schmear it on the cracker. Bon appetite The servers are always very nice and sweet. Sometimes due to the business, the service can be a bit slow but it's worth it for the quality of the food and drink. When you walk in, the atmosphere is absolutely Cozy, the smell of coffee hits you in the face and the welcoming smile makes you feel special. I was too early for brunch but already plan on coming back. I asked the girl (sorry didn't get your name) if she could make my favorite Bucks drink and not only did she deliver but she use to work there! I also asked did they provide table service, and was informed table or counter service. But depends on the staff I do believe The greens and browns make for a very earthy vibe, which I love. I also love a good outdoor area. The outdoor area provides plenty of seating and shade as well as some sunshine A couple of things I did not ask but would love to know, 1: is the patio dog friendly (as long as they are on leash 2: Is wifi offered as I would love to work here sometime-im sure it is, but I did not see any signs. One of my FAVorite places!! From remote working on the weekdays to just hanging out for brunch and drinks... this place nails the vibe, foods, and drinks. The Oatmeal Latte and Cozy Special / Smores are my favorite coffee drinks. They're so rich and tasty and come in the best alternating mugs. Favorite menu item is the consistently amazing Parmesan truffle fries. Not afraid to admit I sometimes come in for the fries alone. Breakfast burrito is another favorite and the pimento cheese grits are like no other southern delicacy! Staff are always friendly and the owner is the sweetest. She genuinely aims to please and makes everyone feel welcome. There are plenty of tables and outlets spread throughout... even on the patio (with heaters in the winter and umbrellas in the summer). This is a great little coffee shop love the atmosphere. They provide has outdoor seating. Love that they put your coffee and coffee mugs and not plastic cups or throwaway. They do serve food. I've only tried a couple of things so far everything's been good. The biscuits are really good. As far as service, they're not the best. I'm not the only one that's noticed this the ones upfront at the register the personalities are very dry. You would figure being a coffee shop. You would be a little more upbeat. Came to cozy brew cafe for a light snack and got the spinach and goat cheese quiche and it was really good! The crust was crunchy and it was warm just how I like it. I didn't get anything else because I wasn't that hungry, my friend got a matcha latte and she enjoyed that. I'll have to come back for brunch because I think that's what they do best from looking at the menu. (3.5 stars) What do you do when you like everything about a coffee shop save for the actual coffee? Cozy Brew offers an inviting atmosphere in a great location. The staff are friendly, and they have a strong selection of drinks (smoothies as well as coffees and teas), pastries (so many muffins!), and bites. Carolina Coffee Roasters provides their beans, and while they have nothing on Vignette, there's still something to be said for supporting local. For my first visit, I went with the Cozy Special. It was billed as a mocha with marshmallow fluff that tasted like liquid Smores. Sold! Unfortunately, the reality was closer to chocolate milk than anything else. Speaking as someone who likes sweeter drinks, I found myself looking for coffee notes and the accompanying pick-me-up that simply weren't there. I get out to Trader Joe's about once a month, and I'll definitely keep Cozy Brew in mind for future visits. However, I'll likely go with a different beverage when I do. read more

Is this my new favorite coffee shop in Greensboro?! I walked in here the other day wanting to try a new place out and this cafe exceeded my expectations. There's PLENTY of room for parking, which is a hit or miss for a lot of places in this area. It's in a nice location, off of the busy road so it's easily accessible. The hours, in my opinion, are perfect. I always try to find coffee shops open before going in for an early shift. No coffee shop is open before 7am which makes a lot of people go to Starbucks in the morning. I love and prefer local, so with this business being open before 7am is absolutely fantastic. A lot of other people will appreciate the hours being earlier as well. The people who work here are incredibly nice. They go above and beyond. They take their time with your order to make sure you're getting exactly what you want. The coffee is incredible! I've tried so many cafes in the area, but this cafe makes some fantastic drinks. I'm not a fan of the syrupy tasting drinks - their drinks are very smooth and subtly rich with flavor. The perfect pairing of flavors to not give you an upset stomach after drinking it. I've only tried their bagels that I believe they get from new garden bagel. I'm pretty sure they picked the bagels up fresh, within hours of them being made because good gravy they were incredible! The cream cheese was fantastic too!!!! I really can not gush enough about this place and I've only been there a few times. There's plenty of seating available. You can sit at the beautiful bar that they have, there's a quite a bit of tables inside, and the best part - they have a patio with a lot of tables and cute decor outside as well! This is such a unique place. You can tell so much thought was put behind creating a dream into reality. Truly an incredible place. I appreciate the kind workers and their patience with every interaction they have with guests. It very much so is a cozy spot to catch up with someone, relax in a nice environment, or have a few drinks at the bar and chat! New business alert!!!! This adorable cafe has opened up in the brassfield area. It's located in the brassfield shopping center behind the habit burger. I had the pleasure of visiting them during their soft opening (official opening may 10th). I love that this area now has a great coffee spot that isn't starbucks. The staff was super nice and informative. The interior was beautiful, cozy, and welcoming, with a modern southern feel to it. They also have a gorgeous and huge patio that will be perfect for sunny days. I purchased the cozy brew special, which is their specialty coffee complete with marshmallow fluff! It was so good! Sweet but not overbearing. The perfect start to my morning. They have a brunch menu, bagels, and baked goods available. I almost left without trying their baked goods, but ran back inside to purchase a spicy spinach scone that I couldn't stop thinking about, and I'm glad I did. It was savory and a little spicy. As a mom of a 3 year old, it can be really difficult to find a good place to hang out with a friend that is also a great place to bring your little kids. Cozy Brew Cafe is a super kid friendly location (especially in nice weather). We usually just get coffees and cocoas, but the one time we got scones, they were delicious as well. I enjoy the seasonal drinks, and I love the patio area. The owners have been intentional in making this place kid friendly by having the gated patio with areas the kids can play and explore. The cafe does not only serve coffee and pastries but a selection of brunch items, including a charcuterie board, making it stand out from local competitors. As apart of the gluten free community, I tried the blueberry and lemon muffin. It has a crumbly and cakey texture yet it needed a bit more pop in flavor, in my opinion. It was still a fun treat to try! It tasted nice to dip in my latte. The coffee I tried was also fair. I only had time to sample one drink on short time but I'd be willing to experiment a greater selection of their drinks. I admired learning that their syrups are house made. This is a really neat establishment! The combination of coffee, food, and alcohol is something I have not really gotten use to personally, so walking in there it was a newer experience for me. I'm not saying it was bad, just new. The staff were extremely friendly and made me feel welcome! This feeling alone made me want to come back (and I have, a couple of times, in fact!) I have only had their coffee, so I cannot speak to anything else they serve there, but I have never had a disappointing beverage. This fact is refreshing because if you go to a chain like Starbucks it is hit or miss whether or not it will taste like it did last time you were there. I will go here to work, whether it is reading a book or working on my laptop because even when the place fills up during the lunch rush, it doesn't seem to get too loud or noisy in my opinion. An additional perk is that if you tell the baristas you are going to be staying a while, they will put your coffee in an actual mug instead of a to-go cup, which I love because 1) it makes me feel like home; 2) coffee tastes better in a mug (Don't ask me why); & 3) it cuts back on waste. My wife and are regulars for breakfast here on weekends. Today we came in and sat down and waitstaff knowledge us but never came over to table to take order. Instead they sat a group of people that came in 10-15 minutes after us and took their order. We walked out and called and were told we are short staff so we should have waited for her. I told them they shouldn't have taken order of people that arrived 10-15 minutes after us. She stated call owner if you have issue or leave a review. They make their syrups in-house and you can tell! Just the right amount of sweetness. Garlic and Cheese Focaccia: - I'm not sure if this was focaccia. I really don't think it was, but maybe it just wasn't a traditional focaccia. It tasted like a piece of brown bread with cheese melted on top. I ate two pieces of the focaccia and felt pretty nauseous. I'm not sure if it was from the amount of grease or the ingredients :( Truffle Fries: - The fries were undercooked. It wasn't bad! Just a tad bland. Berry Blast Smoothie: - My dad said the smoothie was great! I tried a few sips and the protein powder is very very strong. If you tend to stay away from protein shakes/bars with a chalky taste, I would recommend a different smoothie flavor! I believe there were two other options.
