I deliver for Door Dash and these pizzas always smell so good! So tonight in between orders I decided to order one. The order process was so simple and you get a discount when you confirm your email address. So in about 12 mins it was ready! The staff is friendly and the pizza was piping hot. I forgot to take a picture. I ordered a thin cheeseburger pizza. I can say it's the best thin crust pizza I've had in RVA! So fresh and crunchy without being over cooked! Fast service! Like super fast! We ordered two pizzas and cheese bread and were told to pick up in 15 minutes! That was probably the best thing about our Midlothian Chanello's experience. Our medium pepperoni was over cooked and looked dry but it still got eaten so I guess it wasn't that bad. The large pizza was cooked more reasonably and I really enjoyed it! Because of this I'd only recommend a large, speciality pizza since they seem to spend more time on them. I also recommend the garlic butter dipping sauce... better than you know who's! Overall there are definitely better spots in the area but it's not the end of the world if you end up ordering here. read more

He got on the phone and I said good evening, without even responding he said what do you want. I told him what the problem was he said what do you want me to do about it? This is quite possibly the worst food I have ever eaten. I was staying at the La Quinta and decided to order from them because I was tired and they were advertised in the room. I ordered a turkey sandwich and some fries. The food was delivered wet. It was drizzling out and they hadn't even bothered to cover it. The turkey sandwich was heated up.. In a microwave and soggy. Never in my life have I ordered a turkey sandwich and had it delivered hot. I forced down as much food as I could handle and threw the rest out. We were in Richmond for a convention and we ordered from Chanello's on-line. Apparently, they don't read, or only partially read, their on-line orders. We asked for a BLT sub with no cheddar cheese, but mozzarella instead. We got a sub with no cheese whatsoever (and is it a southern thing to put scalding hot bacon on a BLT? All that makes is soggy, cooked lettuce and tomato. Probably wouldn't have been as bad if there had been cheese on it). We asked for extra cheese on our cheese sticks. No extra cheese. We then e-mailed them to let them know of their mistakes. Since we paid for these special requests, we didn't see anything wrong with letting them know of the mistakes. I have to give a review. I no longer live in the area, however my kids and I would always order from this location and I never had any issues. The pizza has always been good. Whenever I had out of town guest, I would order from this location and they lived it. The pizza was delivered on time, hot, and delicious. I choose Chanellos for lunch at work. I always get a Grilled Veggie Sub (being vegetarian, my take-out options are limited.) The price is fair and the delivery guys are pleasant. However, I don't think they read your order at all, they just throw whatever they want on your sub. When I have made it a point to NOT select banana peppers, green olives or black olives, and even gone as far as to write in the notes "Please, NO banana peppers" and they still come on my sandwich every single time, then they aren't reading the order at all. PLEASE GUYS, READ THE ORDER. Banana Peppers make my tongue swell up like crazy. This is my last order. I will not be choosing Chanello's for lunch from this point forward. read more

I've had great experiences with and great food from chanello's for years. I love that they have a variety of pizza and subs to choose from, the subs and garlic knots are my favorite! Last time I ordered, I spoke with Brad at the Midlothian store, who was polite and professional through my whole order even though I had a lot of special requests. :-) the food got to me quickly and definitely still hot by a driver who's name I didn't catch but was polite and chatty, and the prices rival if not outdo the competition. Plus everyone I know loves their pizza too so I know I can feed parties without wondering if people will eat. Local, delicious and awesome! read more

We've ordered from this location several times now as my husband loves their specialty pizzas, however I don't think I will again. Was ordering from them today and called to order, but I was told that they don't deliver to our location. I found this strange as we always get delivery and had never had a problem before. When I asked why and even told them that we were less than 4 miles away, I was simply told that they don't deliver to our area, which I know is a lie. My husband called back later and spoke to a manager. We asked if there was a change, but the manager just said we were outside their delivery range. If there was a change in delivery policy, simply say that and I would just change the order to pickup. I don't like being lied to. read more

My experience(keep in mind it was 1:30am): I walk into the location, employee door is open. I stand there for 5mins or so before yelling for someone . A delivery driver returned from his delivery minutes later and says "have you been helped I say "no". He say let me go find someone, and disappears in the back of the location. He comes back and says the cashier is in the bathroom and will be right with me. Minutes later this heavy set stoner kid with a band tattooed around his forearm(description so you know what to look for) walks from that back toggling through his cell, approaches the counter, and ask what would I like...? i place my order and this kid walks over to the prep station, while in route picks his apron up off the floor, and begins preparing dough ( me thinking: you just came from the bathroom and why is your apron on the floor) I stop him and say are you going to wash your hands 1st and put gloves on?! He replies "Your food is about to go through a 500 degree oven" I insist that he start over and put on gloves prior to preparing my food! He walks away breathing heavy and tosses the container. I was hungry for a Philly steak & cheese and didn't want to drive to far to pick one up so I thought I would give Chanello's a try. Like most places nowadays they charge $2.50 for delivery, plus of course a tip to the driver, so I chose to pick it up instead of paying what would amount to a 35% charge for delivery. If McDonald's were to make a Philly I think it would be better than Chanello's. The onions used on the sandwich were undercooked and were of the stringy purple variety. There was so much of the cheap American cheese on it that it was at least 50% cheese and 50% meat. I would have done better just making a grilled cheese sandwich at home with 6 slices of cheese on it and saved $6 dollars. The price was cheap for the sub so I guess you get what you pay for. Quantity over Quality should be their new motto. People that don't know what a real Philly or pizza tastes like won't know the difference from the low quality/low price product this place sells and the real thing. read more
