Ethan is AMAZING! What a relief to have a dependable, dedicated, competent, and friendly plumber. Ethan truly cares about the customer and recognizes how stressful plumbing issues are. But once Ethan walks in the door, I sigh with relief because he'll get right to work (he knows his stuff!), fixes the problem (dang tree roots!), and keeps me apprised of what's going on. I can also trust Ethan to not dilly dally and rack up the charges. The cost is always fair and reasonable. The best thing about Ethan is he communicates! He responds quickly, gives an ETA, will refer me to Nathaniel (great reviews on Nathaniel too!) if he thinks he can't rescue us quickly enough, and he always is so personable! Ethan was at our house until 6:30 tonight and we invited him to stay for dinner! He didn't take us up on the offer, but that's what a great local Goletan (Go, Chargers!) that he is. Per the new plumbing company we hired (as our water tasted terrible and we kept getting sick): "Here is what I found regarding your reverse osmosis system: The drain and the product lines were switched so that the product water was going to drain, and the drain water was going to the faucet. Additionally, the drain flow restrictor was missing. I also discovered that the membrane was no longer functional, this could be from the RO being hooked up incorrectly. Additionally, the automatic shutoff valve was broken but that was likely unrelated. [Please see photo of water reading showing unacceptable levels coming from the RO--647 PPM!!]" For context, 50-150 ppm is considered the optimal TDS range for drinking water. So, we had been drinking gray water for months! Which explains the terrible taste, and why we kept getting sick. In fact, I was hospitalized with acute appendicitis and had to have an emergency appendectomy ($45,000 hospital bill). At the time they asked me if I'd traveled to any foreign countries and drank the water!!! I'm just sick about the entire thing. So, on top of my $45K hospital bill, we had Channel Plumbing's bill for $887.38 and then the new plumber's bill for $1113 to fix their mistakes. We contacted Channel Plumbing and shared the new plumber's findings as well as the photo of him testing the water from the RO faucet at 647 PPM, and they refused to do anything at all other than argue with us and then go dark. Their extreme negligence could have quite literally killed me. read more

Evan and Lorenzo were great and responded quickly. I've got an old house with aging pipes; corroded and narrowed under the slab, and roots coming through all over in the front yard. They did a great job clearing out all the blockages, thoroughly checking the line for any issues, and advising me on some things to watch out for in the future. Channel Plumbing came out and very efficiently found my problem area in my sewer line from roots finding their way into the old cast iron pipe. They marked the area and depth and I put my kids to work digging up the line, they did not require me to have them dig the line up saving me a great deal of costs. When the pipe was exposed, Channels guys came out right away and pulled all the old heavily corroded and damaged cast iron and ran all new plastic pipe up to base of toilet and reset the toilet. It was all done in one day avoiding any inconvenience for a very fair price. We have had the most annoying toilet issues for the past 8 months. We found out a couple months ago that there are roots in our pipes that keep causing random clogs, making living in a one bathroom house super frustrating. We had another plumbing company assigned to us by our leasing company, and all they did every time was unclog our toilet for a somewhat temporary fix knowing that in a months time, our toilet would be clogged again and we'd be left without a working bathroom for days at at time. Our leasing company recently switched us to Channel Plumbing to get started on the roots problem and just during the first visit, Juan (the sweetest guy ever) took our toilet out of the ground and started ripping out all the roots that were growing under the toilet causing these insane clogs.
