DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!!! Anyone on here saying that they had great service is full of S***! I just had Dan and his sidekick leave my place and the job they did was horrible. There should be a minus star review because they do not even deserve 1 star. Found them in the Pennysaver with a "special ad" saying Carpets DEEP Cleaned (sofa or loveseat for $29.95.) So I called and asked if there were any hidden charges and what was the maximum size for the price? They said any size, no hidden charges. The Ad also said, "Free Color Brighteners! Includes Deep Steam Cleaning" (the water was NOT HOT to be considered STEAM CLEANING) "Quick Dry Process...." Even though they leave everything soaking wet. They do recommend that you open all windows and use a fan to dry the couches. Quick dry process? I don't think so. The first clue that this company is less than average is the plain black truck they pull up in. No company Van or logo anywhere on the vehicle. Second clue, both men are dressed like homeless people. The over weight kid, who did the work while the other guy watched, had a hole in the front of his t-shirt exposing his huge belly. I'm sorry, I have nothing against overweight people AT ALL, but I don't need to see your hanging stomach while you work! SO TACKY!!! A uniform would have had a much more professional impact. Next, Dan says that he is going to give me all of my options and then I could pick what I wanted done. I get it. You are going to upsell me. So I let him go over my options which included hand scrubbing my couches in order to guarantee that the stains would come out. THAT WAS AN ADDITIONAL $90 FOR BOTH COUCHES. I opted out because I had scotch guard on them and had never had a problem with removal of stains in the past. Dan pressed me to get it saying that their work would not be guaranteed and they couldn't promise to get stains out. SERIOUSLY, HOT WATER WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THE STAINS OUT. Too bad they use the cold water from your faucet. That is why the stains don't come out!!! Finally, as I am watching the kid clean my couches, I notice that he is spraying the couch with water solution and large amounts of water is soaking the carpet underneath . My concern was that he would track more dirt onto my now "wet" carpet already CLEAN carpet. So I asked him to stop so that I could lay down some towels. He seemed to get perturbed at that but stopped long enough for me to grab two towels to lay down. He proceeded to continue spraying down the couch and moved to a side that did not have a towel on the floor. I asked him to wait while I moved the towel (something he should have done!!). He then got irritated and said, don't worry, I will go over the carpet with the machine and get the extra water. He went over the wet couches with one swipe per area. Minimal suction of dirt and water. When they were done, I had to ask him to move my couches back to where they were. I will never use them again and would highly recommend steering clear of this crappy company. I will be including pictures of one of the couches that was left dirty along with the once "white towel" I used to finish the job on my own and the dirty water after going over the seat of the couch just one time. I was wowed by their craigslist special $19.99 per room was quoted $45 dollars on the first call I thought it was due to taxes. ******(I EXPLAINED IT WAS FOR 2 ROOMS AND 5 STEPS OF A WALK IN CLOSET) My carpet cleaning date was set today for 11am so I called before hand to make sure I left enough money behind to cover the cost at that time when I called for the second time I was told that the carpet needed to be evaluated and then they would give me a price by that time I was already on my wy to work and had only left my elderly parents $70 behind THINKING IT WOULD BE ENOUGH maybe would get cared $60 at the most and $10 tip As the call was nearly to an end the guy on the other side told be that he would call me before he got to my house he called me 20 min before and said it would take him about 20 min and it did. (He was on time gotta give him that one star for that) A few min later my mother calls me and tells me that he wants to charger $120 and that he would take her $70 just because he had sprayed some anti-grease spray so I asked her to let me speak with him I basically asked why he had charged so much and explained how I had gotten a cheaper quote. He just responded well I have already sprayed my anti-depressant spray so you want me to leave it at that or you want me to wash it ? I was soo mad at that point that I asked it he would take the $70 dollars and call it even and he agreed thinking for $70 I am ripped of but at least I will get a decent job done. When I came home after 7 hrs form 11am there was a particular wet carpet do glide smell and we've never have had pets in our home I asked my mother why it smelled soo bad and she started explaining how thier machine that was brought in looked really old fashion and it looked like it had just been used with an un rinsed steamer hose and that the person had used our sink water to refill. Also there was a stain of black eye liner and his anti-grease spray could get a bit out of it. We have a portable walmart carpet cleaner that could of done the same of a job or a little better and he gave my mom the advise if we were to use it next to add a little bit of vinager in the water before using. And it was way more expensive than my usual carpet cleaner charges me (my carpet cleaner was fully booked for a month and i found this chapman carpet from yelp). So I said I don't want to get the service and they just didn't leave my home and kept trying to negotiate (for about 30mins). So I just let them clean my carpet and result was just nightmare. Comtacted these guys to clean a 5x8 Shag rug. My puppy peed on it and it had some black marks from the high traffic areas. I spoke to a guy who told me that he had a team near me that would call after they were done with a job already in progress. Sure enough they called and arrived thirty minutes later. The guy would not guarantee that he would clean the rug to perfection, still I allowed him to take the rug. He quoted me $150 because he said he would need to clean it multiple times and let it dry before bringing it back to me a week later. I gave him a deposit and he took the rug and left. That was on a Saturday. On Wednesday, he called saying that he was finished with the rug and wanted to drop it off. THREE days early! I was ecstatic! I left work early to meet him at my place. Once we got inside, I noticed the rug was still wet and that there was still a faint urine stain on it. He said it was the best he could do. I felt like he had done a good job so I paid the remaining balance and he was on his way. BIG MISTAKE! I should have asked him why it was still wet and why he finished so soon. About a day later I noticed that the rug has an odor and a thick residue. If you run your hands through the hairs of the rug, you will need to wash your hands because you can still feel and smell the product he used. I can tell that he spot cleaned the rug by hand and probably does not have the proper equipment to clean a shag rug. Unfortunately, I paid with cash so I really don't have any recourse, but I do plan to call them to see if they would be interested in righting this wrong. First, when asked when they can come by...they pull the very customer unfriendly "between 9 am and 1 pm"...are you guys the cable company? You need a 4 hour window? Second, after the guys get here...we show them around to where they need to do the cleaning (2 bedrooms, one tiny strip we barely call a hallway, and stairs and a very plain rug). The guy quotes me $150! What the hell?!?!? dude...I said no way. Anyway, we negotiate a bit and at the end agree to $100 for the whole deal. I figured, that's what I was willing to pay anyway. The guy actually did ok on the stairs...some pesky dark corners just wouldn't get clean but he tried. The last complaint I have...they didn't move the TV in the Master room and a small 4 sqt foot box (very light weight) in the other room....I mean come on....are you really going to leave these blatant strips of carpet uncleaned? REALLY??? WOULD YOU DO THAT TO YOUR OWN HOUSE? COME ON SERIOUSLY... Over all not satisfied but they did the work. They somewhat tried in a half-ass way. Imagine the insane stress of homeowners whose once adorable cat turned against them because we installed new carpet while also changing his cat litter brand. Luckily, the cat seemed to have only marked his displeasure on one spot of the sofa. Immediately, I went to the Pennysaver where carpet and upholstery cleaners tend to advertise their best deals. I needed both the sofa and loveseat cleaned now (and to change the cat litter) to avoid another cat pee incident. The lowest price was advertised at $23.95 per sofa or loveseat. Upon booking the appointment, I was told the price would be $47 for both and possibly additional $3-$6 if they need to do any hand-scrubbing for large stains. And they had a cancellation that morning and could arrive and start cleaning in 20 minutes. Hurrah! Unfortunately, no hurrah. An hour later they finally come and then said that they would need to handscrub the arms of the sofa (why is this not part of a normal sofa cleaning?) and have use pet odor control and that would make the total cost $130. What?! Triple the price?! Then he said, "Ok, well you don't really need the odor control so I can bring down the price to $100." Now, $100 is not a big deal but a bait and switch is just based on principle. "That's still double the price!" I explained. "I was there when he quoted you the price and he explained it would be extra for hand-scrubbing." "Extra, not double! I called other places who would do the whole job out the door for $60! I only agreed to your deal because the guy on the phone said it wouldn't be much extra. Please leave my house." "He told you on the phone..." "I am dissatisfied with the increase in price, please leave," I said as I opened the door for him to go. When he left he mumbled, "Thanks a lot for wasting my time." WHAT THE UNPROFESSIONAL?! Today we ordered the $49 , 5 room special. The guy shows up and starts to speak to our 70 yr old mother about the cleaning job. He looks around for a minute and starts going over the "new" pricing.. "what happened to the original $49 for 5 rooms"? ask mom. "that is only for a mild detergent and will not take care of the problem" carpet guy.."I can give you the senior discount. $150.00" "we don't need the pet odor protection" mom says.. "ok, $125.00" replies carpet guy so we ask what type of guarantee he could provide if we did pay the $125 and he told us we have 10 days after the cleaning... We told him we would do the full service minus the pet protect for $125 with a guarantee..Again he says 10 days and points to it on the page and quickly says, "$125 sign here sign here!" My brother comes down and says we want the $49 service and that's all!! The guy gets upset and says, "ok, gimme $50 and I will do the carpet".. We said we will pay you once the work is finished. He says, "no, you pay now!" We kindly tell him that yiou don''t normally pay for anything until the service is complete..He says NO! ... so we asked him to leave as he told us that, "I am not a slave!" The worst of the worst! 1 year old rv and they totally destroyed my carpets. I had wanted them freshened up but now I have must and mold and the carpets have to be pulled out and replaced. Who in their right mind brings a huge old industrial rug cleaner to a 5th wheel trailer? Then on top of it all charged me 143.00 !! Not even the equivalent of 100 square feet! Thieves and users. I should have known better when they said they could be here to do it in 2 hours! Crap work very disappointed! Owner would not even come out here to see and smell it. My carpet cleaner decides to tell me that due to the long weekend he couldn't come over today but would on Sunday.....um no! We set Friday at 9am because I am crazy busy everyday. I go on craigslist found these people that had an ad for 10$ a room. I called asked if they could come today they said yes. This was around 11:30am Dan and Pat showed up around 12:50pm he gave me an estimate , gave me some suggestions. I appreciate them, since I clean my carpets every two to 3 months I just went for the basic. It prob took Pat about 15-20 minutes tops. He did a pretty good job. I live kinda far from the closest location, but they were still able to accommodate me. What I got done was my living room carpet, I have four dogs and sometimes they tend to mark there territory. Was very Leary due to all the negative comments. I must say though that we are extremely happy with how well Robert cleaned out carpets. The carpets are very clean and believe me they were horrid! The reason for only three stars is due to the fact that as true to all the other reviews about the bait and switch, so was the nature here. My daughter thoroughly explained the conditions of the carpet in great detail even making them worse then they actually were for extra emphasis. She left no detail out. We were quoted $80 and when it was all said and done, ended up spending a couple dollars short of $150!!!! This is our only gripe! Robert was professional, on time and did a great job. You know, one would think that if you were in customer service, you would would try to be professional, friendly, and accommodating. I work in sales, and I know that if you want business that's just name of the game (actually, I thought everybody knew that). I've used Chapman TWICE in the past - yes, they always quoted me more for the job when I arrived, just as all of the other reviews state. But, they've always been on time and have accommodating coming during the week at 5:30 or so when I get off work. So I thought, might as well have them back out, it's easier than finding a new company... Well, that was not the way to go. I just called and was interrupted before I could even finish speaking with a rude "We don't work evenings." I replied, "oh, really? You guys have come out a couple of times for me at that time..." to which I was greeted with a curt, "Well, maybe that was an exception, but I don't have anyone wiling to work that late." Samuel came to our door and was very professional. We were concerned about some make-up stains left on the carpet by our teenage daughter. He advised us that the extra scrubbing that he did may not even work, especially since we already used Resolve and did a lot of scrubbing ourselves. In the end, we were quite happy to pay $50 for our total. $20 each for 2 bedrooms, and $10 for the hallway. Since we didn't have a large area, Sam spent a little extra time going over our 2 small bedrooms and hallway, cleaning a LOT. Found this company on Craigslist and they quoted me $60 to clean. When the guy showed he quoted $280!!!! I was like wow that's way off! I was not happy and very upset at the same time it was the last day that I had the apartment. So I didn't really have a choice but to go forward.So I said why was I quoted $60? He explained to me and was giving me an attitude response. He can do the $60 but will not include any cleaning chemicals??? So time was limited for me so I said go ahead and be basically just vacuum and got my carpet wet!! I will never use them again! Very bad customer services and experience read more
