We have a white unglazed porcelain tile floor at our place of business which due to the heavy foot traffic quickly became coated in black grime despite daily mopping. We tried so many different things to address it, but quickly realized we were in over our heads. We needed a professional to do a tile & grout deep cleaning and apply a sealant. I requested a number of competing quotes thru Yelp and Google. There aren't many contractors that specialize in tile cleaning, and most of them aren't willing to come by after business hours. We questioned it being clean and Jacob came out right away to check and reassured it was clean, but unfortunately all carpet was replaced because of dog urine remains even after the cleaning. Did you know there were still honest people out there who do AMAZING work and don't take advantage of you? No? Neither DID I. That changed as soon as I met Jacob from OC House Beautiful. I called several carpet/floor cleaners and his prices were the best and he had amazing response time. I set an appointment for Friday between 8:30-9:30 and he was there on time. Our floors are a pain to clean. They are light colored and super porous porcelain. He quoted me two prices on the phone. One for just the cleaning and one for the sealant. When he got here, I told him we wanted them sealed. But after looking at the floors, he told me NOT to seal them and explained that with the porcelain floor, it doesn't work. Who does that!? I was sooo thankful for an honest person! Our carpet on the stairs was really bad. I would have charged us extra but he didn't! When my husband got home he was dumbfounded. What can I say about OC House Beautiful but they are amazing. They have been cleaning my house, Windows and carpets for years. I've tried other carpet cleaners but non compare to Jacob. Wow! Helped a friend handle a trashed rental house. Called Jacob at the recommendation of a realtor colleague. He met me at the house the same day. He gave me some recommendations on what should be done to prepare the house for a sale, but was not pushy at all. He understood we simply wanted the house to show better for an "as is" sale, so that meant doing more of a surface cleaning than deep cleaning. We have a small walk-in shower (porcelain tile) and a master bathroom floor (also porcelain tile but non-glazed) that Jacob and his partner just finished. I can't say enough about the remarkable job they did. These two areas were maintained each year by our former tile person who recently retired. I've been searching for 6+ weeks for someone to clean and seal these 2 areas in my home. One vendor quoted $695 (3.5 times higher than I usually spend) and another vendor quoted $400 but when they showed up, the experienced tech that was supposed to do the job had an emergency and was replaced by 2 techs that honestly, I was very uncomfortable with. So following my belief of when in doubt, go without, I decided not to use them and instead called OC House Beautiful. I was lucky that Jacob had an opening the next day. He and his partner were a no BS professional team. They were very knowledgeable; they knew what they were doing and the end result speaks for itself. Jacob welcomes all questions from the customer and if interested, will describe how the job is done, what type of products he uses, and he even showed me how some of the work is done, which I liked. Jacob is not only insured and licensed, he is certified. You may say, so what, but believe me, it matters.
