First time at Chappell Brewing and it was a great experience! The bartender was very friendly and welcoming to everyone. This is a small, but charming brewery and I love the amount of natural light it has during the day! No food except a few snacks here, so plan accordingly! They have a decent number of beers, spirits, cocktails, ciders, and wines to choose from. I tried one of their specials "Pink Flamingo Slush" and it was very refreshing for Summer! Chappell was recommended to us by another local, and I'm glad we stopped in. The gentleman working there was very knowledgeable and welcoming--he took the time to share a lot about Salt Lake City. The brewery had a nice, comfortable vibe, with clean and well-maintained bathrooms, a good outdoor seating area, and even a little swag shop. As an extra touch, he threw in a few bonus stickers with our purchase, which was a nice surprise. Overall, Chappell Brewery itself is definitely worth a visit. read more

I'm not much of a beer drinker, so I asked for alternative options. The hops water was the recommendation, and it was pretty darn good. Later, I realized that they also have boozy slushies, which might have also been more my thing. I enjoyed my visit-the vibe was chill, and people were generally welcoming and laid back. Great spot in South Salt Lake. Plenty of indoor seating (an a solid big screen) to go with super solid beers and other guest beverages. The house brewed options are heating up, and the wine/slush/non-alcoholic offerings make for a welcoming sipping spot. Great to finally visit! read more

Went to Chappell Brewing for the first time in awhile last week! I am happy to report that they have a full tap list now! They also had a food truck! There's also a Creole place around the corner that will deliver food to you at the brewery. There's still no lagers on the beer list, only ales but those are my favorite beers so I didn't mind. They also had a bunch of high point, special releases, non-beer, and non-alcohol options so something for everyone! They even upgraded their ski-tuning area and had just installed a phantom wax set up! Will definitely be back! Probably on a free-wax Friday! read more

Cute brewery in south SLC. I visited during St. Patrick's Day weekend, so they had a few specials going on. I had the crispy boi which was a light ale and the only beer they were turning green, but it was on special for $3 and totally worth it. It was light and crisp and easy to drink! The beer selection is limited, but it is labeled micro brewery so that makes sense. They do have a couple N/A options as well! There's 4 large picnic style tables inside and the same outside. The place is clean and comfortable and would be great in the warmer months. Food appeared to be available as the staff were grilling up fresh hamburgers and hot dogs outside, but my party just stuck with beer. There's a few cards games available to play while enjoying your beer and they also do trivia on Thursday night as well as a few other weeknight specials. The outside patio is dog friendly so bring your fuzzy besties along. read more

I wanted to love this place, but my visit was honestly one of the most frustrating brewery experiences I've had in a long time. The atmosphere was chaotic, to say the least. It was incredibly loud, and the music was so aggressive that you literally had to scream just to talk to the person standing right next to you. It felt more like a warehouse during a breakdown than a place to enjoy a beer. As for the beer itself--it was underwhelming. I ordered a flight to get a good sense of their range, and almost everything was served lukewarm. The IPAs lacked any hop character, and the stout tasted like watered-down coffee. For the price point, I expected much higher quality. Service was the final nail in the coffin. The staff seemed completely disinterested in being there. I stood at the bar for nearly ten minutes before anyone even acknowledged me, despite it not being particularly busy. When I finally got my drinks, there was no "thanks" or even a polite nod. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. There are plenty of other spots nearby that actually care about their craft and their customers. I won't be returning. read more

I'm not usually a beer connoisseur so I go for seltzers. And I enjoyed their Ube seltzer- it was really tasty

Relatively small brewery that has a nice ambiance and comfy seating. They have fun seasonal seltzer slushies if you are not a huge beer drinker like myself. They also had NA options. If the weather is nice they do have outdoor seating (and I believe dogs are allowed out there as well!). read more

I feel like I need to add a PSA that they have seltzer slushies here! And they're delicious! They change up the flavors every day I believe, so they always have a different flavor. They had a tropical one when I went over the weekend - I think it had pineapple, coconut, and maybe guava? I can't remember what exactly was in it but it was delicious and so refreshing during the summer. I didn't notice this the last time I was here but they have a bunch of games here too over by their couch area! This is a great place to come with a group to hang out and play games. So happy to have another locally owned brewery in town. We have visited on 3 occasions. The beer is great, the patio and seating areas have a good feel and are comfortable. The only thing that leaves this review at 4 stars are the mason jar beer glasses. I do hope they upgrade to proper beer glasses. read more

Great beer! We enjoyed sitting outside with the heat lamps. The environment is very friendly and welcoming.
