In town and trying out some local breweries. Scale: 1-5 Beer: 5 - They had a vanilla porter that was delicious and a good hazy IPA. Atmosphere: 5 -cozy Service: 5 - bartender was cool and gave quick, solid recommendations. Food: they had some but I didn't really pay attention Cultural/Political Agenda (1-5): 5 -No preachy nonsense--just beer.

We came to Uinta Brewing Company after being let down at Grid City Brewing. I enjoy Uinta Brewing Company's West Water Hard Seltzer's and their Lime Pilsner. They are amongst one of my favorite local go-to beverages when I'm in a BYOB situation. I'm glad we did visit Uinta. Upon arrival we were greeted by one of two bartenders. A male and a female. it was not too crowded at all. It was midday on a weekday. Although it did begin to get busier the longer we stayed. We sat at the bar. Uinta was very clean. Inside and out on the patio. The bathroom as well. And it didn't smell like an overwhelming dank beer cave like Grid City did. They were out of my Lime Pilsner, so I tried their chile limòn lager for the first time. Not bad, but also not my personal favorite. Refreshing nonetheless. I also tried one of their appetizers. Not your typical bar food here. In a good way. Their fried cheese curds came with a pepper jelly which I may have overlooked in my tipsy state because I would definitely have preferred to request that jelly on the side. Don't get me wrong, It was delicious. I just prefer my crispy cheese curds not getting softened/soggy by a wet accompaniment. The cheese curds batter was delightfully crispy and quite delicious. I enjoyed my experience here. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped in here right after they opened on a Wednesday afternoon. We were able to place our orders at the bar quickly. They have several beers on tap, including seasonal and experimental releases. Not wanting to go "all in" on a sour porter (yes, for real), I tried a small taster. It was definitely a little too potent in the sour department. I opted for the seasonal vanilla porter which is always great. We then sat at a booth to await our food. I got the falafel salad (labneh, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onion and radish topped with a lemon vinaigrette). For a bar salad, it was amazing! The fresh ingredients combined with a citrus finish were the perfect combo. My wife got the fish and chips and also liked them. This is a pretty neat place. Don't be thrown off when you are looking for it... it's in the middle of an industrial park. I will definitely stop by again when visiting.

Nice little brewery with both inside and outside dining. I had two flights so I was able to try eight of their beers. I also ordered two additional samples. Overall, the beer was excellent! The black lager and trader session IPA were probably my favorites. Had the fried spicy chicken sandwich with fries. Definitely was spicy, but still good. Service from the bar was great.

Loved this spot! The staff was so incredibly friendly, from the host to the bartender to the server. The smoked salmon salad was delicious and so were all of the fries I stole from my boyfriend. I had the wild huckleberry beer and the fruit sour, loved both. My boyfriend got a flight so it's nice they serve those. One of the staff members gave me a cupcake with an Ariel ring too so that was cool. The place is spacious and welcoming. They have an outdoor patio that had live music too. Overall a great brewery!

The beers were absolutely fantastic! I particularly enjoyed the Huckleberry beer and the Crispy Apple beers were both incredibly smooth and tasty. The food was also very good, though I found the BBQ Korean Chicken Sandwich to be a bit overpowering with a clash of too many sauce flavors.

Can I give 10 stars....maybe 20? This place is on my top list of any brewery Ive ever been to ANYWHERE! Im only sad that I dont live in Utah and can go all the time. The cheese curds....chefs kiss! So good. We also got a burger. Everything was so delish! Then service. Service was immaculate. Shayla helped me picked....or I should say she saw this tired momma and gave me fantastic recommendations. I then told her Id like a flight and if she can just pick all 4. She did and they were excellent. Have you ever hugged your bartender? Me either but I hugged her. My little piece of Utah! So amazing!

Off the beaten path but close to the airport, this is a spacious, well-lit brewpub with a variety of indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe is lively. Service is friendly and attentive. Both beers I had during my visit were very good: Wild Huck and Alpenweizen Mountain Berry Rush. I would love to return to try more beers, along with food from Nomad Eatery.

The first time I came to Utah, I hated it. This 5% beer rule is ridiculous. If you didn't know, bars, and breweries can't serve over 5% beer unless they can it or bottle it and open it for you. It's ridiculous. Anyway, after a few times coming to Utah, I discovered this place. It's my favorite of all the breweries I've been to so far in Utah. Great staff, good food and a really nice environment. I am here from out of town, but every time I come to visit, this is definitely one of my stops! Cheers.

This is a little bit further out of SLC downtown. My hubs and I hit it on the way back from the Great Salt Lake. This was a part of a larger road trip. Parking was plentiful. There is a super cute and comfy looking patio. Looks like it is dog friendly. This place has that concrete cool warehousey feel. The beertenders were super friendly. My hubs worked in the beer industry, so he had a lot say! The beers were really good. I enjoyed the Roccapulco, Alpenweisen Berry Rush - my hubs really loved the lime pilsner. They have to serve food, so they have an attached kitchen that was called Nomad. Food was very good! My hubs got the wedge salad and I got the smoked salmon salad. Beertender said it's his favorite thing that they served there. They had games to play so my hubs and I played word Scrabble. It was fun! It was a nice break after our long drive and hike.

We had the nachos and several beers at the bar on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was so incredibly kind; I asked them to build me a flight based on whatever they'd recommend and all four choices were stellar.

We've been to Uintah Brewing a few times and always walk away pleased with our visit. It's a perfect, low-key vibe with great food, good drinks, and friendly staff. We ordered the Smoked Turkey Club which was excellent! The Wedge Salad is a unique spin to the traditional wedge and very tasty. The Nachos are covered generously with toppings. The Cheese Curds were good, but didn't stand out as much as the other items we ordered. Finally, there is a great selection of draft beers and they are now serving cocktails! Uintah is a great, off the beaten path place to visit if you want to enjoy chill vibes with a great atmosphere. I love their patio and will certainly be back!

After getting my last beer and finding a seat in the back, the shy bartender somehow found his courage to engage and serve other folks, so I naturally took it personally. The ambiance was nice in that it felt like an authentic brewery, not a restaurant that serves beer like some establishments closer to downtown. On a Tuesday, tacosdaddyfoodtruckslc was on the scene serving a brilliant smothered burrito, albeit a bit heavy on rice but still amazing. When I asked a bartender to compare and contrasts two beers, they did so lifelessly and unconvincingly without asking me first what I preferred. It reinforced my perception that the establishment is either low on customer service or selective in the welcoming of guests. I was the oldest person in the brewery at the time and I hope that had nothing to do with it. I was also concerned with their lack of descriptions on their brews, only presenting a name on a wall. A serious and reputable brewer will attempt to communicate their beer to aficionados and this lack of information made me question their commitment to the craft. These are all management issues and given that these deficiencies were outwardly obvious, it makes me wonder what other issues I would find with a little more time here. That said, I was here once and that's enough. Edit: I read the rest of the reviews and I am so happy to learn that their bad customer service, including ignoring customers, is legendary. I got suckered in by the high rating, while failing to read the one- and two-star reviews. I went to another brewery in the area yesterday and am off to have another there (cutting my time here short). I wish this place were better.

We visited at least two, during our four days in SLC. This one was the first: a cathedral-style brewpub with a sports bar aesthetic, with decent food, decent drinks, decent service, and decent prices. Everything was decent. You're not likely to be disappointed by anything you order, but you're not likely to be blown away by anything, either (another thing Squatters has in common with McMenamins, I'd say). During our second visit (to another location, but I'm sure the same rule applies), our party was only interested in ordering drinks (one per person, mind you), but we were informed that we *had* to order some sort of food to accompany them (I'm sure this is more of a Utah thing, rather than a Squatter's thing, but still annoying), so bear that in mind if you're looking for a place to just chill with a beverage and watch a game. Still, the vibe here is lively and friendly; assuming your server is as well, which was a coin flip, in our experience. For a fast, casual chain of brewpubs, Squatters has a lot going for it, and I can see why they are popular, as clearly as I can see ways in which they can improve. A little more focus, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, and Squatters could absolutely dominate in SLC, and beyond.

Ordering was kind of confusing because you had to wait in line instead of just walking up to the bar. One of the bartenders quickly explained it to us so we got in line. The line moved very quickly. Once we ordered our first beers, we sat at the bar and our bartender then took the rest of our orders while seated there. It seemed like once you ordered and established your seats, you could get waited on at your table but you had to order through the line first. There were 3 or 4 bartenders covering the bar and all the various seating areas. Our bartender was very attentive and we never had empty glasses before she was asking if we wanted another round. There was one time where she got side tracked and there was a very slight delay in bringing the next round for my wife and she profusely apologized and comped that round, but we didn't even notice the delay, to be honest. All the beers were great and the handmade pretzel from a place down the street was delicious. The tasting notes on their menu were spot on for the 5 or 6 beers we tried. They have a lot of seating in the main area and large patio in the back that were both pretty crowded, which is why we sat at the bar. We later found out about their "barrel room" that is in the back behind all the brewing equipment. One of the bar backs said it was a more laidback and quiet area. We peaked back there before we left and had we known about it, we would have sat back there because it's exactly like how it was described. The only issue I have unfortunately at this visit was I was trying to grab a glass to take home with me. However, there was a huge line for people to get carded so the front desk guy wanted to card them in first. That was understandable as that created a huge line and backed up the front door. However, someone came behind me with cans so he let them pay first and by the time they finish paying, more people were coming in to get carded. He decided to card them instead of letting me purchase a glass . So at that time I had just left instead of waiting for the continuous cycle of getting carded I'm having to further wait. Hopefully when things are busy, they will have someone to help out carting people in. Otherwise fantastic brewery.

I had high hopes for locally brewed beer and Asian cuisine, but nothing really hit the mark. Beer was okay. Lukewarm, and decidedly not crispy nor refreshing. Our group was three and we tried a lot of the food on the menu and nothing really hit. The pickled cucumbers were good. The dumplings (which we were told by our server are handmade) were genuinely flavorless and the wrapper was way too thick and chewy. We tried the pork buns as well, same issue, a serious lack of flavor and seasoning. Pork belly entree was middling, just a flavor profile that didn't work. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was fried crispy but the sauce and toppings were unmemorable and lacked any kind of punch or umami to speak of. It came with a side of food service fries, which were crispy but served with plain old ketchup. Oh by the way everything is expensive. Starters were $15+ and most entrees, including noodle soups were $20+ which is crazy. Cocktails were $18 and no wine pour less than $16.
