This place is dark, dirty, it smells dirty and the food is typical saloon food. Don't bother.

Food is great and I would go more often is service was a little better. Not quick to refill, greet you or pay you out. Friendly but slow!

My husband and I visited Bobby Mac's on a Sunday and found the staff to be a bit frantic, as it was Palm Sunday and we later learned that they were short-staffed. Our attentive server was rushing around and handling multiple tables at both ends of the restaurant, yet kept our glasses full and checked back on us multiple times. We ordered a special, the hush puppies, and we found them delicious. My husband ordered the grilled chicken wrap while I had the fish and chips. Both were great, though it was clear that my fish was not caught fresh. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is not what I would expect from the same ownership of multiple other restaurants in the Macomb County area. Outdated decor hangs on the walls and the restrooms reminded me of a middle school bathroom. I think that Bobby Mac's is in need of a decor update and thorough cleaning, but also can see how it may add to the charm of the restaurant. I suspect that the regular clientele is made up of regular locals and people coming in from boating on the lake. Both groups may enjoy the "character" of the outdated decor. Overall, while not the most impressive restaurant I've visited, I certainly enjoyed my food and would recommend to at least give Bobby Mac's a try.

I enjoy excellent restaurants wherever I am. Either you have what it takes or you don't. People don't like it when I come into neighbors restaurants and inspect everything. People don't like it when I come into their shops. I mean, it's a hard business when you have neighbors telling on neighbors. The ambience of this place is spot on. It is a true Michigander awesome food restaurant. It will always be 5 star in my books. Thank you. You neighbors all want honest reviews. Game on.

No one else seated in that area at that time. With entire floor empty, four of us were seated at the table at the back where all traffic to and from kitchen must pass. Not a problem, but by the time we had dinner with dessert, the entire area was filled with customers...subjecting us to the constant in/out business of the kitchen traffic. Clearly we were given the noisiest and worse table in a location where there was not a single occupied table. I didn't think we appeared that undesirable. The bill for our dinners with dessert came to almost $300...two of us had salmon with plum sauce, a dish we enjoyed and have had on prior visits. My complaint...1 person asked for extra plum sauce to take with her leftover salmon. She received a plastic container with approximately 3 ounces of sauce. The charge $3.00. I am not cheap, or I wouldn't be treating people to rib-eye steak or salmon that we enjoyed at a place like White Horse Inn. But...I do consider WHI to be cheap and willing to sacrifice losing a customer with that kind of service, or lack thereof. I know that you are popular, serve good food and I understand why that is true. No doubt you won't miss the four customers you have lost over the above issues.

First time going here, it had popped up in my FB feed & looked pretty cool so I wanted to check it out. Right downtown Almont. Parked in the street which was bad idea for that weekend-alot of traffic with events going on. At least there's a crosswalk though since we were parked on opposite side of street. So cool inside once we got in! Very festive! Loved it. We wanted a real Mexican restaurant to support and this seems to be it. I wish I knew the servers name, she was awesome. They have happy hour on Saturday-so thankful for that! Want them to know how much that was appreciated. We were able to order a dessert to split because that saved some $$. I don't know if any restaurant off hand that carries happy hour over into the weekend. Our server was able to help us decide on which Marquita specials to try-lots of flavors. I have to say I got a spicy Mexican one & it was my favorite! She asked if I wanted the rim done & I said yes. Holy moly! SPICY! They had some food specials also so my daughter ordered from that as she wasn't as hungry as I was. I think it was 3 pulled pork tacos(?) I got with the refried beans. It was pouring rain that day so we didn't get to sit on the patio...definitely will be going back here many times. Can't say anything bad about our experience!

I should've asked the price before I ordered my classic margarita with 1800. I thought 1800 tequila was a moderately priced option but my margarita was $19. Hers was $15. To me that's a lot I probably would've made a different choice had I known ahead of time Otherwise, I would go back.

We love how you can dock your boat and walk up. We absolute love their nachos as well as onion rings. Our friend got the coconut shrimp salad and said it was delicious. The service was pretty good and friendly. You can either eat outside or inside and they have a great view of the canal. Definitely something on their menu for everyone. We love how they do have a few vegetarian options for us. We will return.

Food runner dropped appetizer with no plates so had to get up to get our own, should have left then. Entrees were inedible, I don't think they believe in salt because it certainly wasn't on any of the food and there wasn't any shakers on tables. 1 hour in and server comes to give us a check and ask if we need a box and when we said no it was a blank stare. I said the food was not good and she left again to talk to her manager to take it off the bill. Another 15 minutes later feeling like I was being held hostage over a check I couldn't get I get the check with 13 bucks off the bill. $55 for boiled ribs slathered in idk what you call it sauce, over fried ravioli that you couldn't cut, steamed broccoli and carrots with no butter, baked potato with no butter just sour cream. When I asked for the manager a waitress said that some puppet master in the kitchen was the one that made the decision on what the percentage of food that was left for a discount. Wasn't asking for a discount, was asking for edible food, if you can't seem to put food out that is at least halfway better than fast food then don't bother at those prices. Maybe don't seat an entire restaurant if you can't handle it. I was not allowed to speak to anyone else because the magic man behind the kitchen door was non existent. First time, last time. Don't take my money and not show up to the party to defend your food if it's that great.
