Tried this place for the first time last night. After reading some of the reviews, I figured it's definitely worth a try. To sum it up in one word, "excellent !!" The place is very small and very few people eating inside when we arrived. We were immediately greeted and sat at a table of our choice. Service was great and the server was very friendly. We ordered a few of our "go to" Thai favorite dishes. Food arrived quickly and tasted fresh. Prices are excellent and the portions are perfect. Overall great experience. We will be back. Glad to find out where the old crew from Ranu went as this was the Thai food I had when I was in college. What I remembered was they had awesome Pad See Ewe which was still the case. First time having Thai food and was so pleased. Ordered the Spicy Beef Salad flavors were amazing. Love that it's served in a chilled bowl so everything stayed crisp and cold. My daughter and I were looking for something different to have for dinner that was easy for pickup. I was scrolling through yelp and happened upon this little gem. I used to frequent this location when it was a different restaurant, and I've always been curious about the new business that took its place. Boy am I happy I gave this restaurant a try. I'm a vegetarian and there were more than enough choices for me to not feel limited. We had a traditional Thai dish which was amazing and we went out on a limb and tried some of their more original special dishes. Used to be regulars at owner's previous Thai restaurant (Ranu) down the street. Thought I'd check this place out for lunch. Can't help but compare with other Asian-Mexican fusion restaurant across the street. This attempt at Italian-Thai-Mexican fusion misses a bit. Decor is casual with 6-7 small tables for 2 people and some more small tables outside. You order food at counter and server bring your food to your table in a timely manner. Water is free, and drinks are picked from a refrigerator near counter. Decent variety of soda and specialty asian tea/drinks. Not too much space for large groups or kids. Food is missing an identity. Maybe I was expecting a Thai-Mex and Thai-Italian menu, but there were also some interesting Italian-Mex dishes. Went for Thai flavors, so that's what I ordered. Appetizers: Chicken Slammers. Very good chicken won-ton stuffing placed inside deep-fried flour tortillas with spicy jalepeno salsa topping. This dish was a good size and whet my appetite. KraPow Burrito: Ordered the Beef burrito, but given chicken by mistake. Chef made a beef one for me to take to go if I wanted. Good Service! However, the burrito was a little disappointing. The chicken KraPow was very mild in flavor and they used regular sticky rice instead of Thai Jasmine rice. The rice was cooked with a little too much water and bland in flavor. Beef KraPow had more flavor, but the rice still disappointed. The rice is not Thai, nor Italian, nor Mexican style and didn't quite fit the dish! Mango Sticky rice: dessert was good. Made with Jasmine rice for Thai flavor. No fusion flavors in this one. Not the best sticky rice around, but ok. Overall, interesting food without an identity. Maybe my review is skewed by my expectations of a Thai restaurant with Mexican and Italian twists. But the KraPow in the burrito did not taste "Thai" and could have been enhanced with Jasmine Thai rice. Price is decent. Not my "go to" place for lunch, but could swing by if wanting something different. read more

This Thai place near Loma Linda University. This Thai joint has friendly staff, and the food is fairly cheap. BUT the food is average, and their ingredient is lacking. The drunken noodle I got was dry, the noodles were not fresh, and lacked vegetables. The sriracha fried rice was also lacking in flavor, had the color of sriracha but not the taste, and basically just a lot of rice. I wish them the best, but I think they need a more improvement with the recipe and the cooking. read more

I ordered colonel's noodle last week to go for lunch and it was not good. They put a different kind of beef and the wrong kind of noodles. The broth did not taste the same either. It lacked flavor. Came to Chapter Two during lunch on a Tuesday. The inside is pretty small, so there is not very many places to sit and eat. There are a scattered two person tables throughout the dining area. I ordered their Teriyaki chicken which came with white rice and steamed vegetables, and it was quite delicious! And for a $7 pricetag, you definitely get your money's worth. I was going to write a good review for the place because I like the vibe and the customer service was amazing but the food is great too! I got the gochujang beef sandwich with fries from specials of the day menu and it was really good! Tons of meat and great flavor and fries were cooked well which is reqlly important to me. I've checked in now 11 times, and I'm a fan...a huge fan of this place...and give it 5 stars without any hesitation. The food is creative, and the old gas station location is fun and whimsical. Now don't show up with a party of 20 at lunch, because the place does not even have 20 seats inside, more like 12 or 15, and that's a good thing because it is part of what helps set this place a part from other restaurants in the area, or anywhere for that matter. The food is a creative fusion of Asian (mainly), California (I taste it in there), and maybe Mexico too (with the Krapow Burrito). On my most recent visit, I had the Chicken Katsudon: it was a chalk board special I noticed while coming in the front door. It comes in a bowl, with cut fried chicken on rice, topped with a perfect, I mean perfect, fried egg on top. When that soft yolk breaks, it melts into the fried chicken and rice and sauce, and is pretty much heavenly. Jeeze, thinking about it now, its pretty much a sexy dish, absolutely delicious. And Grandma, please forgive me, but the fried chicken in the Katsudon bowl was the best fried chicken ever. Oh, and get this. The plates and bowls seem to be picked specific to the dish. Don't expect matching China, its not that kind of place and it would ruin the experience if it were. But expect nice, perhaps mismatched glassware. Perfect for the food, perfect for the setting. The woman that seems to run the front and serves as the primary waitress (?and maybe the owner?) is friendly, and service oriented, and keeps my brewed ice tea icy and full. She greets every customer with a bashful smile and slight nod of the head, a perfect greeting leading to a perfect lunch. Chapter Two is a special place to savor. read more

Came here on a Monday. Ordered the spicy chicken wings and pad see ew. The wings were really good. The BBQ sauce they were covered in had a really nice flavor, though they weren't very spicy. The pad see ew was less than great. I was pretty satisfied after the wings, so I didn't each much of the noodles, but I noticed a bitter aftertaste. I didn't say anything because it seemed mild and sometimes the broccoli greens can have that taste. When I went to eat my leftovers, I couldn't finish them, the bitter flavor was so overwhelming. My friends got pad thai and drunken noodles and seemed fine, so it might have just been a one time thing. I was informed by a Buddhist Monk that he had eaten here the day before. I first ate in the building 40 years ago. It has changed A LOT. The current cuisine is Thai fusion. I had a Krapow burrito. Krapow is usually fried chicken with basil, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, garlic and some Thai chili peppers. They make a burrito using this and Khao Pad (fried rice). I told them "mai phet, mai gin" (if it is not spicy, I do not eat it). The cook kicked up the heat exactly how I like it. It came with a small salad and a mini-cup of fruit. Excellent value for the price! For dessert, I order the Mango with Sticky Rice (Khao Neeo Mamuang), This came with sweet coconut milk as the sauce. This was not too sweet as it can be sometimes (I have Thai friends that own restaurants). The presentation was GORGEOUS (see picture). ALMOST too pretty to eat. Prices are very reasonable. Portions are very adequate. I could have easily shared the burrito with someone and the dessert was twice the picture I attached. The inside is VERY small. The building used to be a filling station many years ago so there is a small "patio" area where the cars used to pull in. You can eat outside if the temperature is not onerous. read more

First, customer service is great. Two friendly ladies always smiling and able to explain everything on the menu if you have questions. I love fried rice. This place has a lot of different types of fried rice. So far, the sriracha is my fave - it doesn't have too much heat, and the flavor is just really good. Their curry puffs are delicious. Unfortunately, they can run out of them, so they're not always available. Pad thai runs on the sweet side for me, yet for some reason I always find myself ordering it. It's safe to say I haven't been disappointed with any dish so far. Beware of dining in - limited seating (MAYBE 15 at one time?), and there has always been one pesky fly every time I've dined in. read more

This restaurant has been opened for almost 5months per the owner. We only ordered 2 items as we came in almost to closing time & our first visit. We got the mild tofu yellow curry and the tofu pad thai. If we visit again I would ask for the med (heat) yellow curry as the mild was too sweet for our taste. The pad thai was pretty good. It's a cute little restaurant which probably only holds max 16-20 people inside but there is sitting area outside. Nice people! Light jazz, food fanatics magazines, and a breakfast burrito that comes with a garnish of grapefruit? Probably a bit pricier than most places serving breakfast burritos, right? Not true... burrito and Thai tea came out to $6.21 after tax. The burrito was good. You can tell they used quality ingredients well. The burrito with the salsa was amazing. Instead of the typical chopped tomatoes plus spiciness that you find in common chains, this salsa had a sweetness that worked really well with the heartiness of the eggs, bacon, and potatoes in the burrito.
