Came here to meet with family who live in the area. Our server, Ebony, was very nice. The only downside is that I saw a hair in my food. I'm so glad I saw it before I took a bite. It was probably a one off thing, however I completely lost my appetite after seeing the disgusting hair in my drunken noodles. I will probably never return to this establishment. The only time I would is if a family member who lives in the area insisted on eating here again. PSA: examine your food, a disgusting hair might be in it. My experience at this place was horrible. They treated me and my family like we were not paying customers. The service was extremely rude and unprofessional for making my family uncomfortable. 09/2025 visited benjarong for lunch with a colleague and ordered the pad see ewe lunch special and thai tea & the total was $30+ after tax and tip... based on the last time I visited, I've learned that the entree has increased to $19 (from $16) and the thai tea has gone up in cost as well ($4.50)... service was attentive and professional & the ambiance is always nice with the large windows, but this may be one of the most expensive "lunch special" prices I've seen in a while. knowing the restaurant industry, its increased $3 in one year is pretty steep. this economy is rough! yummy food, but be warned of increased prices! read more

I don't often take the time to leave a negative review but I was compelled to share my experience. My husband and I were looking forward to trying this restaurant as we love Thai food and haven't found a great one near us. We drove down the mountain to have lunch here and I was looking forward to having spicy yellow curry. So our initial impression wasn't great as our server was very unfriendly and seemed very put off by us asking any questions. Trying to break the ice, I commented (positively) on a cool tattoo she had as I was intrigued by its design. She was obviously not interested in conversation and rudely dismissed me. We ordered our food and it arrived quickly... almost too quickly. Our wontons were over fried and cold. The filling was chewy and they were left uneaten. Yet... we didn't complain. The curry I ordered came and the server literally 'tossed" the dish on the table and walked away. It was mediocre at best. Not spicy, not fully cooked potatoes, very thin sauce and very little chicken. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Yet... we didn't complain. Well it was almost impossible anyway because our server NEVER came back to our table. Not once. We finally had to flag down another employee just to get our check. Not a good experience at all. $50 for a sub par lunch and terrible service. We won't be going back. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the decor is nice and the other employees were pleasant. What a shame. read more

First time coming, someone had recommended this restaurant so thought I'd give it a try. I had a good experience I got there at happy hour and drinks and appetizers were at a great price. Not sure if it was the owner or manager but she was very friendly and made us feel comfortable. I started off with cocktails I ordered a mojito and my friend a martini, we both enjoyed our drinks. For appetizers I had lumpias for first time, they were very good. My main dish I had shrimp pad Thai and the taste was delicious. I have been coming here for years with my family and today was the last time. The soup was sweet and lost all its flavor and the three dishes I ordered and asked for the spiciest level I got zero spice on all. To top it off waiter was not proactive to ask if we wanted mango sticky rice before closing time, which is literally the only reason why we went. Chef refused to make it and that was the last straw. Lastly and most importantly, I was there many months ago and noticed inside of that glass sitting area. The paint was peeling due to a water leak. I went today expecting it to be fixed and it's even worse, and I also noticed a little bit of mold growing... you cant miss it. If you can't hire someone to scrape off some drywall, paint and fix a leak on the roof then you obviously don't care about your customers or your business anymore. Wow -- what a disappointment. We arrived without a reservation, and the hostess acted like that was an issue even though the restaurant had multiple empty tables that never were occupied. We received our menus with no opportunity to ask what they recommended, so we chose two random dishes and ordered those. Then we waited...and waited...and waited. We watched one party of two arrive after we did, order, and get their food, and still we waited. Our water glasses were refilled twice -- and we waited. Finally, I asked the water guy to check on our order, and our food arrived within 30 seconds. I wonder how long it had been sitting there, but we'd waited at l ast 20 minutes or more. Once the food arrived, we dug in. We had the ginger meat with chicken that was in a kind of clear, watery sauce with a minimal ginger flavor. Some meat, some onions, some bell peppers -- nothing special. We also had a chicken curry dish that was somewhat better in terms of flavor, but the chicken was overcooked and rubbery. Again, not too impressive. As far as the overall menu goes, I'd say this is more of a Chinese restaurant than a Thai one. The options are fairly standard Panda Express restaurant fare -- cashew chicken, beef and broccoli, orange chicken, chow mein, and the like, plus Thai options like curries and Pad Thai. I wish Thai restaurants would commit to making Thai food. The restaurant has a bar as well as a couple of dining areas, plus a large outdoor patio. If that area was full, I can't imagine how long the wait for food would be. It seemed clear that the owner has her regulars and dotes on them, which is nice, but we felt neglected as customers as she was going around chatting with and hugging her regulars while we waited endlessly for our food. This place had been recommended to us by a number of people, but I can't say we'll be back. It was so disappointing all around. read more

On my last outing here the food was excellent as before, but the place was less than forthcoming and then stingy on providing requested sauces like Soy Sauce, Sweet & Sour Sauce, Chili Oil, and the like. And an appetizer of Spring Rolls was dumped on the table at the same time as my entree of Pepper Beef & Steamed White Rice. This review is for the hostess TIFFANY there on Sundays. We asked her if we could sit outside to which she snapped "we don't have people to serve you out there!". Ordinarily I would have accepted this answer with no problem, however her snarky tone of voice was not appreciated nor warranted. I then asked her for menus for take out, but she snapped "wait" and instead went back to shuffle some receipts near the bar. Seeing that we were standing there waiting for a solid 5 minutes while she played around with some papers, the bartender asked her if she wanted him to seat us, but we heard her say "I got it". She finally came over and we asked her for menus again to which she sarcastically replied, "You don't know what you want??" Her foul attitude prompted us to leave. I am really sad that this review isn't better. This location has been on my list to go since I moved to Redlands. It is beautiful form the outside so we funnily decided to go. The experience started ok. As we could see they were a little busier then anticipated. Giving grace our order seemed to take a bit longer then we thought it should. We received our appetizers and then moved about 45 mins later people that came in after us were finishing their food. Our server did not check on us so we were able to ask about our food. After about an hour we decided to pay for the food we got and leave. When I went to the front the server was extreamly defensive and rude. He kept making excuses and telling me to take a seat. I just want to pay and leave. I asked to speak to a manger and he told me there isn't one. I wish it was better experience . I won't be returning. The people in my part thought it was a 1 star experience but the food we did get was good so I can't discount that. read more

I couldn't believe the hot sauce and soy sauce was in tiny plastic containers instead being in a small dish. it Didn't seem appropriate for this restaurant as it isn't a fast food place. Also the Water glasses were so very small And didn't come around to fill your water glass. They need to be more attentive with their customers. read more
