I visited last Sunday about 15 minutes before closing, and the owner was kind enough to let us in. We ordered three dishes -- beef salad, larb pork, and panang curry -- and everything was delicious. My husband had the beef salad and finished every last bite. My friend ordered the panang curry, and there was a lot of it that he took the extra curry sauce home and made another meal from it. I had the larb pork, and the flavor was so authentic that it reminded me of being back in Thailand. The owner even treated us to free Thai tea, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. This place offers a great variety of dishes, and the prices are still lower than most other Thai restaurants. If you want affordable, tasty Thai food and you're not looking for anything fancy, I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

I met Jack and his sister today at Jackpot Thai Restaurant!!!! They are very nice and the local crowd ordering their favorites... A nice little ( small) place. but delicious, and they made me a nice lunch!!! Thai basil chicken w just the right amount of spice but loaded w many veggies basil and garlic ... The egg rolls were crispy and I enjoyed the dipping sauce. The orange chicken was unfortunately not good. Upon opening it, I thought it looked great visually - the slice of orange on top was a nice touch . However, this was incredibly "sticky" looking orange chicken. The sauce was so thick, it was almost like it was coated in jelly. The sauce has a very strong orange flavor which I didn't mind except there was no saltiness to even it out. I had to pour on some organic tamari to help with the taste . In addition, almost the entire dish was just crispy fried pieces ... I hardly got any bites of actual chicken. Tons of items on the menu for whatever preference you have, and plenty of options for vegetarians, which we can really appreciate. I placed an order over the phone for crispy tofu, pad see ewe and pineapple fried rice. I came to pick up the order, and my food was just coming out of the kitchen when I got there. Everything was fresh and hot. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, and even added in extra sauce, napkins and their vinegar chili sauce. I used to take the bus with my grandma and my aunty to go shopping at the Asian market next door and get groceries and then for a treat we'd eat here entry everytime we went to the market. This is one of the very first authentic Thai food places I began my appreciation the uniquely robust Thai flavors. Recently I learned the restaurant is now run by new owners, and all I have to say is they have done a spectacular job at keeping the food jam packed full of all the flavors, and maintaining the authenticity of Thai cuisine all together. One of the best Tofu Fried Rices I've had in the area!! It's definitely a "take-out" kind of place so don't expect to sit down for a nice ambiance meal. But when it comes to the food flavors, I have no complaints! (Was I absolutely starving when I ate this meal? Yes. And did that cause a starved-filled haze to cloud my judgment? Last night we 'tried' ordering Thai food from another Thai place (which shall remain nameless) but they did not accept our large order of $180, because they stated that their limit for an order was $100. So I ordered mostly the same dishes from Jackpot Thai, and not only was the food just as good or maybe better than the nameless Thai place that didn't want our money, it was about $30 cheaper. I have not been inside of Jackpot, so I cannot speak to its ambiance; frankly it's not much to look at from the outside, and easy to miss because it's small. But the food was very good, and the prices are probably the best for Thai food in the area. Will order from them again! read more

We usually love Jackpot Thai. Yesterday was a game changer, we likely will never go back. I order a pick up order and they gave me a time that was 35-45 minutes out. My husband showed up 45 minutes later and they had not started our order yet. They asked my husband to come back in 30 minutes. When he came back still the food was not ready. He waited about 12 minutes and still no food. He canceled the order and left. We have had slow service from them before but nothing like this. Customer service is great! Portions are large. Taste is so-so. This is a To-go restaurant with no flair or fancy appeal (and there's nothing wrong with that!) To-the-point ordering with a wide variety on their menu. I ordered the pad thai, and it had a sort of lemony/citrus taste. Really strange, almost like no taste... I ended up needing to try and add something. I tried ketchup, helped a little bit. I tried honey, and well that helped a lot. I never thought I'd have to add condiments to pad thai to make it taste good, but this was a first. I'd be willing to try a different menu item, but do NOT recommend the pad thai. read more

I have been going to this hole-in-the-wall Thai place for a while now. I have not tried a lot of their menu, but typically any of their spicy mint dishes are pretty good. I usually go for the spicy mint fried rice, or the chicken dish. The food has that home-cooked feel, is not as "strong" flavored as some place, and always hits the spot. An added bonus when available is some of the best mango with sticky rice in the area. read more
