This review is long overdue and so here it is. My husband and I decided to have a sit in lunch and since we were in Highland decided to eat at Thai Spoon and were greeted by this friendly lady. I think she is one of the owner or maybe related to the owner. Took care of us and really had a good customer service. Just chatted with us during our meal which we didn't mind and know about the business. I just want to say that this is what I enjoy the most is knowing the story behind the restaurant. I just love knowing around my neighboring community and support local business. The food was excellent as well. read more

First time here , recommended by a friend and I'm sad to say it was not that good... We got drunken beef noodles and pad Thai. I've been to Thai house in Redlands and it's safe to say their food is way better (IMO) Didn't get a picture of the drunken noodles cause I forgot lol Now service was cool , I guess they were nice and attentive. It's like a little Thai jem in a ghetto strip mall in Highland. It's great for lunch. Has really good prices. They have lunch specials and regular entrée prices. Good air-conditioning very good service food comes really hot and quickly. At someplace, I wouldn't take somebody on a hot date there. Super friendly staff, unfortunately seems like they were having shortage of staff, because dirty tables are not cleaned right away. Didn't bother us at all, it was quite a busy night. The food are very good, flavorful and tasty. They have BBQ Thai chicken and they are good eventhough I don't see the BBQ mark on the chicken - all good and I love it. Also the yellow curry very tasty and not runny they have the chicken and potatoes a lot. Yummy. The place is cozy, family friendly and the decor makes you feel like there assuming Thailand? Such a great Thai place so close to home! My daughter made me try this place and I really enjoyed it . SERVICE: Was greeted quickly and sat immediately. Our server was friendly and we got our food relatively quickly. FOOD: The food was so fresh and hot, super tasty. My daughter had the spicy bamboo dish and gets it often. I had the chicken fried rice, veggie egg rolls, and chicken potstickers. We ended with the mango sticky rice (and OMG it was delicious)!! I love Thai Spoon! It's my favorite Thai restaurant near SB thus far. Both the Highland and Loma Linds locations are great! I have tried their drunken chow mein, fried rice, drunken noodles, egg rolls, and Thai tea, and I keep returning for more! I've dined in and done takeout, even recently did delivery since they offer it, and each time, they've delivered delicious and flavorful Thai food. The ambiance is very casual, and the plentiful Thai decor will take you on a quick trip to Thailand while you dine in. Service is always prompt, too. Their dishes are good, I haven't tried anything I didn't like so far: chicken noodle soup with flat noodles and crispy wonton chips, golden triangle appetizer are like egg rolls but flat, shrimp fried rice is always my favorite and the mango sticky rice is amazing. The owner and his wife was there yesterday and they greet you with a smile and are friendly and warm. It's a nice place to come get good Thai food. The environment is clean and the music is subtle. I've been coming here for years. I genuinely love this owner or manager, the older gentleman. He's great, always gives the best customer service. I order here so much and try to brush off the customer service with the servers and hostess here. But honestly after today I won't be coming back. Waited to even get noticed at the front, they really prioritize the dine in customers more which cool no problem but at least say something when you see someone standing there for over 5 minutes. The blonde chick here, she always seems to be in a hurry or angry, I've tried so much to be nice to her but this girl doesn't even make eye contact with you when she talks, just seems miserable. And I'm sorry because I don't want to talk down on nobody. The guy as well here he's so unfriendly always rushing as well. I get they're always busy but don't work there if you wanna be giving dirty looks anytime someone walks in. What a shame to make the place look bad when they have such great food! read more

I've been eating at the Thai Spoon in Las Vegas, since 2019 when it opened. The food back then was excellent. And the presentation was beautiful, along with the edible flowers. The consistency of the food was on point. You knew exactly what you were getting and how it would look and taste. Every time I ate there, I experienced the Thai Spoon WOW FACTOR. Sadly, over the last year the quality of the food and presentation has declined. The last two visits, I ordered food to go. What I was given was VERY, VERY disappointing. It's turning into the run of the mill, nothing special Thai restaurant. And I don't have to drive 16 minutes one way to eat there. I can eat around the corner at 3 different Thai restaurants less than 5 minutes from my home. I always get the Thai Spoon Fried Rice, with vegetables, and no meat. And sometimes, the signature panang style Chilean sea bass. I order both of those today 8/19/2025. The Chilean sea bass that I usually have is delicious. It's pan seared until golden, crispy and flaky, with the skin on and prepared without any cornstarch. I have no idea what the fish was today. It was prepared with a coating of cornstarch, that became lumpy and soggy. Both the fish and the panang sauce were lukewarm in temperature. And the panang sauce, which is made of a thick and creamy coconut milk, had been watered down to stretch it out. That whole dish had been REHEATED in the microwave, and fish doesn't reheat well. The signature Thai spoon fried rice, which comes with avocado, only had a few pieces and NO vegetables. I requested a vegetable Thai Spoon fried rice. I didn't get it. Will I go back? Yes. Because, I'm a 3 strikes and you're out kinda person. They have one strike left! read more

We came here on Wednesday during lunchtime and they weren't very busy at all. They have been here awhile. People were nice and attentive but again they weren't very busy. The food prices were standard for a Thai restaurant. We got the orange chicken lunch special, chicken friend rice, Yen Tao for and pad see ew. I didn't care for the orange chicken but what we are in a Thai restaurant after all. The pad see ew was good. The noodles were cooked right. I also liked the good amount of broccoli. The Yen Tao fo was pretty good too. It had the right spice and I really liked the fried wonton that came with it. The waiter wanted to make sure we knew what we were ordering since Yen Tao fo is an acquired taste which it very much is. We chose this place purely because of its proximity to my in laws house so for Highland this would be the best Thai. I know it's not saying much. read more

I am very disappointed in this restaurant. I have been coming here for 20 years and have noticed this place go down hill over the last few years. I left today knowing i would never come back. The portion sizes for the entrees were so small I thought it was a lunch portion not dinner. The dishes that should have plenty of meat are full of onions and other vegetables barely any meat. Not sure if the grill/wok is being cleaned but the food had a burnt taste to it. Overall food itself was a let down on taste portion size and not with the price. Tai Spoon count your days. read more

Shrimp was tender, batter was good and not too thick. Chicken satay - as expected, good but nothing special Other folks at my table also got the beef pad Thai, Tom yum soup, and Tom kha soup. They generally liked all of them but I can't comment personally. The spice is a bit spicier than expected for each level. The mild I got felt more like somewhere between mild and moderate. read more

I had to do an update because consistency to me is a big part of the rating. I just had Thai spoon again today and let me tell you. It is not the same thing that I had the first time. I ordered from DoorDash, so that is the only difference this time. Though I highly recommended the Tom Kha soup last time, this time it was a watered down, flavorless, and was missing chicken and portion of the broth. It literally tasted like somebody poured water into it. I cannot in good conscience recommend it again. Which is sad because the very first time I had it, it absolutely blew my mind how good it was, and how flavorful it was, and how milky it was. So I'm not sure what happened, but I'm gonna have to drop the rating down. Which I rarely ever do. And I am only doing it because otherwise I would have to delete my older review altogether. I'm gonna maybe have it again someday and see if maybe this is just a one off mistake. But not anytime soon. Definitely was not worth 18.95+ tax. Especially for such a small portion missing broth to boot. read more

overall, i would say this is a pretty decent spot in the IE for some thai food. i've only ever had chinese broccoli in my pad see ew so seeing regular broccoli in my dish was kind of shocking. other than that, the service was ok and the food came out very fast! read more

I'm a veteran, so I have to go to the Lomalinda VA pretty often. Last night, I was really hungry on my way home. I was craving Thai food and stopped in to the Thai Spoon, because it had great reviews. The reviews were not wrong! This was, hands-down, the best Pad Kee Mow (drunken noodles) I have ever had. The flavor, the freshness and the level of heat were absolutely perfect. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, and the people were very nice. Now it will be a regular stop when I'm in Redlands.
