This place is a Mecca in the middle of nowhere. Such a fun location if you have a family or even if you don't have kids. My husband and I would go there and play mini golf, go down the hill to Silver Lake and go back for ice cream at the old fashioned ice parlor. This place basically everything for you in one place...a drive-in theater, mini golf, pizza place, grill, game arcade, ice cream parlor, and even on the weekends, inflatables and a stage with activities for the kids. For some reason their Perry's ice cream tastes better than anywhere else because of the atmosphere in the ice cream parlor I just love this place, it's definitely a place you'll build fond memories! More recently we attended Father's Day brunch which was fabulous and for that price you just couldn't beat it my only complaint was listening to employees complain at the ice cream parlor that they are not able to put a tip jar out so I questioned the owner and he told me the reason why which explained a lot. It's the same as it always has been, cash only, a lot of/too many white people, in the middle of nowhere, but I always like how this place stays consistent. It's very all American and Buffalo style (today I had their beef on weck and it was delicious, definitely a classic done well). Going to play putt putt and watch 3 movies later. It has a lot of options~ golf, pizza parlor, outdoor dining, indoor dining, ice cream parlor, restaurant, salad bar, drive in, right now there's a bounce house. If you were born after 1982, you've probably never heard of Broasted Chicken. Fortunately for you, youngsta, the Charcoal Corral hasn't had any renovations since the 80s. And that includes the menu. For the uninitiated, Broasted Chicken is marinated, lightly breaded chicken cooked using a pressure-fryer. Yes, it's a fricken pressure cooker combined with a deep fat fryer! The result is an impossibly crispy piece of chicken that's more swollen with hot juice than Dale DaBone, and will burn your genitals just as badly, if you're not careful. One of the benefits of Broasted Chicken is that there's very little grease, which often leads people to believe it's healthier than regular fried chicken, but alas, it's not. If you plan on ordering this dish, call ahead, or else you'll have to wait 15-20 minutes for it to be prepared; however, considering the wide array of activities including arcade games, miniature golf, line dancing, "Cruise Night," and impromptu arm wrestling competitions with Perry meatheads, it's pretty easy to kill time while you're waiting for your meal. There's a reason my friends and I all had our birthday parties here when we were young. I haven't had many menu items besides the Broasted Chicken, but I can attest that the "Corral-style" (breaded) wings are greasy and crunchy and fantastic. The Beef on Weck is piled high with roast beef and a spoonful of prepared horseradish from the trough at the condiments bar is the perfect accoutrement for this Western New York staple. The sweet potato fries are good, but not mind-blowing, and my mother really likes the taco salad. Additionally, they have fish frys on Fridays and a Garbage Plate knockoff called the Dumpster Platter. The pizza shop, where sizes range from a slice (cheese - $1.99) to the 24-slice party sheet ($20.90) is located in the back. At $3.15 for two pieces of dark meat, the Broasted Chicken is a steal. To make the night complete, get some ice cream at the ice cream shop (behind the pizzeria) and catch a double-feature next door at one of the few drive-in movie theaters left in America. What a fun family place to go. Since I went here during Covid, they were offering takeout/pickup only which was cool. We grabbed an order of wings and two roast beef sandwiches and ate in front of the water. It was such a nice setting and the food was good. I like that they put the perfect amount of salt and seeds on their roast beef rolls. I also feel the need to add that it was the perfect amount of au jus. When you get roast beef to go, it's often dry or a soggy mess. This was literally perfect. The wings we ordered mild and they were good too. I don't think breaded is my favorite type of wing but these were tasty. We'll def be back! Next time I'm trying their pizza and fried chicken which looked great! read more

I came back home to WNY to visit family early this month, and we were taken to the Charcoal Corral. How I had never heard of this place is beyond me! I thought it was the cutest place. They have a grille-restaurant, then a pizzeria, and ice cream shoppe with an arcade inside. (there's a drive inn and mini golf outside as well!) The food was good and theres lots to choose from. The ice cream was super yummy, the soft-serve anyway haha. I'm sure the hard ice cream is good, but out west where I live now is fro-yo everywhere and I was craving some real soft served ice cream with sprinkles! the prices of everything was decent as well, and the kids meals come with some free tokens to play in the arcade. Stopped for a quick bite tonight as we were in the area and going past. Ordered a beef on weck with fries and a pepsi and a separate large order of potato wedges and an iced tea. Beef on weck and fries come out in a timely manner along with both drinks but we were told the potato wedges "weren't quite done" and would be brought out when they were ready. 30 minutes later my girlfriend was done eating and still no wedges for me... as we were picking up and getting ready to leave a young girl brings out the crappiest looking order of potato wedges I have ever seen, both the cook who made them and the girl that brought them to the table should have been ashamed to even consider serving them to anyone, they were overcooked with crispy burnt ends, and cold as they were obviously sitting someplace for the 30 mins we waited and it was a small order besides, not the large that we asked for. Of course while I was waiting and had nothing else to do I watched three separate employees go out through the door clearly marked "Entrance Only" one of which wasn't wearing a mask at all and another with it pulled down just covering her mouth not her nose. And I got to see a young lady change out a garbage bag from one of the receptacles with no gloves on then go back to wiping down tables and tray returns without gloves or stopping to wash her hands. If this had been a weekend and the place was booming with people going to the drive-in I would say "Oh Well its busy and got lost in the shuffle" unfortunately there were no more than a dozen customers in the whole place while we were there. I realize that you could probably care less as we are not local and only stop once or twice a season but be assured I won't be back and will be sure to mention our experience anytime someone speak about this place. read more

First time here and very impressed. Huge friday fish turnout and every plate was impressive. Facility operated like a well oiled machine. Every employee was on task and doing their job as required. I personally had a large a Alaskan haddock with crab meat. WOW Restrooms could only be compared to Disneyland. Every restroom was absolutely spotless. Great experience, and I will definitely will be here again. I live over 50 miles away and will definitely drive 50 miles just to go to this restaurant. The expense on the gas is well worth every penny. The only sad part is that they do close Columbus Day and reopen sometime in March. I've loved this place since I was a kid and visit every time I am back in town it's a must go. Rating 4 only because of the service I received was subpar. The cashier was totally clueless and couldn't answer any questions. Misinformed me about my meal so it was messed up and was over charged. I also think they should change their mini golf sign. It reads under 10 free after 5. Well it's not 10 and under so it should read 9 and under. 10 isn't free so it's misleading. Enjoyed the dancers and concert the night we went. Saw the incredibles at the drive in. Snacks are pretty cheap compared to a regular theatre. The ice cream flavor I choose was horrible. I should have got a sample. read more

I have many great memories of this place from my childhood. I went back recently and now the food was incredible. I appreciate the variety that they offer.... they have a pizzeria, grill, and ice cream shoppe. One select nights they have themes where they specialize in a food categories. The Charcoal Corral in Perry New York has been our go to place for fish fries. Went today (May 19, 2020) for fish fry. This is the third week in a row. Prices went up $2.00 per fish fry compared to last week. Fish was 2/3 the size as last week. There was about half as many french fries. The food was good but we can't afford to go their anymore. We ate here recently on the pizzeria side. The pizza crust was awesome, very fluffy without being to doughy. The toppings on the veggie pizza were great also. My only complaint was with the "white pizza" is had way too much Italian seasoning on it, and also needed a better variety of cheeses. This was a first time visit for me. With having no kids I was skeptical because the place seemed mostly kid friendly. However, we met the owner and he was outstanding and very friendly. He took time out of his day to show me and my parents around and I was impressed by all that was there to do and see even for adults. It really impressed me that he took us around and also made sure our first time experience was great! The only non-dairy option for ice cream here out of their 29 flavors is cherry. Wouldn't recommend coming here if you are vegan.

I LOVE this place. My hubby and I go almost every Thursday night for dinner. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The staff is very friendly, and they are constantly cleaning the areas.
