Original Cannoli - Cherry and pistachio
Erin H.

This pizzeria has been ranked in the top 50 pizzas two years in a row - and it's clear to see why. The bright, eclectic space felt like a new age Italian pizzeria. We were seated at a two top, and listened to the great music selection under the cozy table top lights. The kitchen is open, and the staff moves around in a well rehearsed dance. The ambiance led us up to the best pizza we have ever eaten. We were immediately blown away. It's not often you get a thin crust pizza that can hold its own once sauce and toppings are applied. The thin, crispy crusts stands to attention when pulled away from the safety of the rest of the pizza. The post shift pizza was a classic - red sauce, gooey mozzarella, onions, and spicy cherry peppers. This pizza comes with a side of home made blue cheese dressing, which was perfect to ease the spice of the peppers and to dip the perfectly cooked crust. We also got the mushroom pizza which had a plethora of umami mushrooms, sweet carmelized onion, mozzarella cheese, and finished with a delicious drizzle of truffle oil. To my surprise, this white pizza didn't have a base sauce! It was packed with umami goodness, and I could have eaten the whole thing. Along with the delicious pizzas, Pizzeria Florian also has some great starters and desserts. We started with the olives, these were buttery, citrusy, and had a depth of flavor that was impressive for a vessel as small as an olive! We also sampled some cannoli - and all I can say is order one of each flavor. It's worth it. All in all, I can't wait to come back. This was such a treat. I had heard great things, but getting to try everything myself was even better than I could have imagined.

Bleu cheese is a must!!

Stopped by Pizza Florian in East Aurora, and wow, it did not disappoint. We ordered the Calabrian Crunch pizza, and it was easily one of the best pies I've had in WNY. The crust had that perfect wood-fired char while still being soft and chewy in the middle. The layers of flavor were incredible--the crispy pepperoni, melty cheese, and just the right kick from the Calabrian crunch gave every bite a punch of spice and smokiness without being overwhelming. We also tried the cannolis for dessert, and they were the perfect finish. The shells were crisp, the filling was smooth and creamy, and they had just the right level of sweetness. You can tell everything here is made with care and attention to detail. Between the cozy East Aurora atmosphere and the quality of the food, Pizza Florian is a spot I'll absolutely be coming back to. If you're a pizza lover (or just love good food in general), this place is a must-try.

I've tried MANY pizzas in my life-- those in NY and California. BUT NOTHING TOPS PIZZERIA FLORIAN'S CALABRIAN CRUNCH. I've never had such exceptional pizza in my life. Please order the Calabrian crunch

Brought another friend here. Had the same, Calabrian crunch pizza and chopped salad. She loved it! We also went on a Wednesday and wine was 1/2 off all bottles!

100/10. I absolutely love this place. Great customer service and GREAT food! The quality, flavor, and care in every detail makes it worth every penny. Whenever friends or family are in town, this is the first place I recommend and it never disappoints. The chill, welcoming ambiance makes it just as perfect for a casual night.

What an amazing and delicious experience of pizza! So happy we came out for lunch and glad it wasn't too busy to get a seat. Such unique and amazing flavors. Like I've never had before. They put a lot of effort making this food special. Great ambience and clean bathrooms as well. Overall great visit and would recommend highly.

Pizzeria Florian, Artisan Pizza on Main St in East Aurora. Limited hours, finally found time to check it out. Chopped salad was unique and very fresh and flavorful. Unique topping combinations on the menu. Went with a the Post Shift red sauce and the Mushroom white pizza. Both were very good. Honestly it was good but pretty pricey. Hipster pricing I anticipated. Place was packed but food came out quick. Comfortable dining room with open Kitchen. Employees were all super friendly. Limited non alcoholic beverage selection Coke or Sprite glass bottles. Won't be our regular pizza place but would go back.

Pizza Florian has the best pizza around! There I said it. Not your typical Buffalo style pizza, Pizza Florian offers pizza that has a thinner crust in nature and offers outside the box unique flavor combinations. I have been there several times and they do not disappoint. If you dine in the ambiance is casual and cozy. And if you need to do takeout the online ordering system is very easy to navigate and very efficient. Newer to EA this place is a must try!

Cacio e Pepe and Classic Cheese with Pepperoni

We finally made it out to Pizzeria Florien, and I'm so glad. The pizza is fantastic, and the service was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly. We ordered the Cacio e Pepe pizza and the Classic Cheese pizza (with added pepperoni). They were cooked perfectly and so light and airy. We started with a chopped salad that was tasty, too. I can't wait to come back. I hope they open in the Northtowns.

Always a delicious pizza! One of the best in East Aurora! Unique and full of flavor! Parking on the street can be tricky, recommend parking lot in the back.

Huge bowl of olives

We had been hearing good things about this place for a while, and we were not disappointed. If you are a wood-fired pizza fan, you are in for a treat at Pizzeria Florian. It's a counter service place, so go in and ask for a table and menus, then go up and order and pay. They'll bring your items to you when they are ready. I was surprised at the size of the bowl of olives. I mean, for $7 you expect maybe 20 olives. This was a HUGE bowl, with fennel pollen, chili, and some other stuff. Lovely taste, spicy at times, but a delightful appetizer. Then the pizza. We had the Cacio e Pepe, which is apparently the #1 "white" pizza. It is peppery, as the name implies, and the crust.... I daydream about the crust. It was absolutely perfect. I will definitely go back to try some other pizzas. The decor seems a bit bland for a pizza place. Very demure, unassuming, nondescript in every way, but it doesn't take away from the AMAZING pizza. You have to go!

Mushroom - divine flavor, crust is unbeatable

Modernized yet still traditionally styled decor and pictures of the place throughout the years welcomed us in. Another door was a takeout that seemed pretty busy at 4pm on a Saturday. Plenty of parking in this quaint village as well as the parking lot. Warmly greeted and quickly seated with a reservation we made on Open table minutes before we each decided on the Feast with chicken parm, lasagna, and Fettuccini Alfredo. Large portions of each and the Alfredo was more like Cacio e Pepe so cheesy and flavorful. Lasagna was perfect blend or ricotta and sausage like I grew up with, and the chicken parm was tender and the batter held well seasoned flavors. The starters were the caesar salad perfect homemade dressing, and pasta fagioli a tad cool but so good I gobbled it up. Soft fluffy rolls are served with oil and seasoning to tide you over while you wait. Service was impeccable perfect time check for happiness with food, drink refills, and how we were doing as we slowed knowing to go containers would be needed. I highly recommend! Left me phone home so will post pics when I get them from my dining partner.

The crème brule french toast is 2 large slabs of homemade bread, that just tastes so fresh. The line will probably be long, but that gives you time to decide on what pastry to grab in the array of treats. There's truly something for everyone, and it is all great. Perfectly balanced with the light and airy inside with a crunchy undercarriage.

It was my first time to Buffalo so naturally I needed to get some Buffalo wings. I went to another…read morerestaurant first, which I won't name but the wings were not good so the next day I tried Bar Bill. Let me tell you, these were some of the best wings I ever had! The restaurant itself is pretty small so it can get packed. As a girl from Michigan I do love ranch, but I was told their Bleu cheese was homemade so I used the bleu cheese and it was delish. Overall a great spot for wings, will definitely be back next time I'm in the Buffalo area. Forgot to take pics :(

I am only reviewing the Beef in Weck, a rare thin sliced roast beef sandwich on a kummelweck roll,…read morewhich has kosher salt and caraway seeds. The top half of the roll often has horseradish spread and it is dowsed with au jus or those are served on the side. The sandwich is local, originating in Buffalo but you can get them in Rochester too. The sandwich comes in three sizes, large, medium and sliders. Choosing the medium, the portion of roast beef was generous. So generous, in fact, that the roll was too small for the sandwich. It was served with au jus to the side and potato chips. The roast beef, allegedly freshly made, tasted clayish. Salt was the dominant flavor, hardly any caraway seed flavor. About half way into the sandwich, I wondered if there was any horsedsdish on the bun. Truly, it was hard to tell, but if there was, it was overwhelmed by the salt along with the caraway. Perhaps there was too much meat for the roll? Lazy caraway seeds? Not enough horseradish? Whatever, it was, at best, disappointing. Now I didn't try anything else and other diners seemed happy plus service was prompt and helpful, the setting friendly and pleasant, so I am reluctant to give two stars but that's actually a more accurate grade for the sandwich. Try the restaurant, but skip the Beef on Weck.

My husband loves their broiled Cajun fish, fry so he ordered it again today. He got the baked sweet potato and mentioned how delicious it was. I went with the Greek Chicken Salad, a sheer delight with Greek dressing as well as tzatziki. The salad itself was built on a base of fresh mixed spring lettuces topped with pickled banana peppers, fresh grape tomatoes, sweet purple onions, sliced cucumbers. The grilled chicken cutlet was cut julienne and was strewn on top. Everything that I love in a salad. We ordered burgers (split with my fellow burger lover) and chicken fingers for two of the kids, and the food definitely hit the spot after a long day when everyone was starving. The burgers were decent, though I would have loved slightly larger patties and a few more topping option. I'm all about an over-the-top handheld, so maybe that's just me.
