I LOVE this place. My hubby and I go almost every Thursday night for dinner. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The staff is very friendly, and they are constantly cleaning the areas. We went to the Charcoal Corral yesterday for Mothers' Day. When we arrived we gave our name to a young girl who told us we had a 45 minute wait. After about 30 minutes, the girl who took our name came by and we asked for an update on the wait. She told us several times she remembered taking our names, but was unable to find our name on her list. She offered to put our name back on the list, but instead of putting us where we should have been on the list, she was going to put us at the end of her list. We decided to go somewhere else. I love the Charcoal Corral, but will never go back there for a Mothers' Day bunch. I know that it would have been good, I have been going there since it opened, and have never had many problems, until yesterday. The food has always been great! read more

I was camping with my family in nearby Letchworth State Park. On a rainy night we stopped by for pizza and wings. The food was excellent. The one thing that impressed me about this place is that it is immaculate. Everywhere you looks it is spotless clean. Came back two days later and took in a double feature at the drive in. Behind screen two you can even see the cows come home. We met up with Rick who owns/runs the place and I could not stop raving on what a great experience we had there. Enjoy the show.... read more

Have been going to the Charcoal Corral for nearly 15 years, but after tonight, I & my family will never return. Rick Stephanon should be ashamed of himself. Between the first and second feature, an employee knocked on our window and asked that we turn off our car; that it was against the rules to have the car running the whole time and that the people next to us were complaining. I asked to see the rule or information backing up that claim, and I asked to talk to his manager. A short time later his manager knocked on my window, asked that I turn off my car, to which I replied I would not, and was then told if I did not I would be asked to leave. I responded by asking for an explanation and asked that he direct me to the policy I could read.....his response "It's an unwritten rule". I asked for a refund as I was being asked to leave, to which he called for Rick Stephanon to come over. Rick arrived (he owns the Charcoal Corral). Rick also explained that unless I cooperated and turned off the car I would be asked to leave, and by requesting a refund was told I could never return to the drive-in. While waiting for my return, I made sure to let Rick know I would be publishing a review for this ridiculous action. We have been coming to the Charcoal Corral for years, and have, during every movie ALWAYS ran the car the whole time. It keeps the inside window from fogging up, and allows us to run the air-conditioning. I also don't like leaving my window down as I don't care to deal with mosquito's. (Rick actually said he had not "seen" a single mosquito this year), and that my concern for such was unfounded (Apparently mosquito's stay away from the Corral). I'm appalled at his and his staffs lack of respect. My car was running at idle only, without any lights, and with my windows up so we could enjoy the movie. I have researched if etiquette demands I turn off the car, and throughout the country, it is common practice to leave the car running to condition the auto when desired. We have long supported our local businesses, and this is unfortunate. We have never cared for their greasy fried foods or over priced ice cream, but we have loved coming to their immaculate drive-in for the better part of 15 years, but after tonight, will NEVER return. I've yet to play mini golf, but the restaurant, pizza place, ice cream parlor and drive-in are all very well-maintained and reasonably priced. The playgrounds under the movie screens are a great touch! I've been coming here since childhood and have never had a bad experience. read more

This place is a gem. Always clean and well run. Big cruise nights on Thursdays. Great food of all kinds. Prices are reasonable. Two screens to the drive-in theater and first run movies . Full service ice cream parlor. Separate pizza operation. And a full-service burger and hotdog place. Their Wednesday night Italian feast is incredible although a little bit pricey. read more

Oh my Lord! I have been going to this place since I was a kid! It is by far the best family owned fun business in the United States! Everyone is friendly and the food is fantastic at a great price! The ice cream parlor is just wonderful in between intermission at the Drive in movie theater. With cruise night and karaoke night and putt putt golf there is something for everyone. Visit wonderful Silver Lake just minutes down the road for a great day of fishing, water skiing, or just relaxing on the water. Try the best Friday night fish fry or the wings! If pizza is your thing then this is the place too! My kids love the Charcoal Corral. My 70+ year old parents love the Corral. If you are in the area you have to do yourself a favor and visit this place. Plan an evening and park your car first at the drive in and then come in for an evening of good food, ice cream, and the latest movie. You will be writing your own review in no time. Great place, beautifully kept up. Flowers and grounds are very nice. The kids who work here are attentive and friendly due to owner strong oversight and good training. Extensive offerings of Perry's ice cream in the parlor. Wide variety of delicious pizzas ( Tex Mex is awesome. The core food offerings are very good. ( Tip: preorder by phone for pick up) and the line to order is sometimes daunting. Fish Fry on Friday is the best around. Weeknight specials (e.g. All you can eat pasta) in the dining room are deservedly popular. Free special events like concerts and cruise nights draw large crowds ( Tip: come way early for good parking and location for your folding chair. You can fill the wait time with food.) This place is deservedly a kid magnet: mini golf and game arcade can suck up your money fast. Some swings and other free stuff though. This place is a rare gem! We love the pizza (the gluten free pizza is also excellent), love all the other food choices and the ice-cream shop. It is great old fashion family fun. We spend a few evenings a season here enjoying the pizza, mini-golf, arcade, inflatables, and drive-in movies. It is always clean, the staff is so pleasant, and always fun. We are so lucky to have such a great place right near-by...we almost feel like we are on vacation when we go there! read more

How do you describe the best drive in in WNY, great restaurant, best pizza parlor, great gaming room, ice cream shop to die for...with the BEST 18 HOLE PUTT PUTT COURSE IN WNY! OMG...all you can eat Italian night, BBQ night, muscle car night, kids blow up toy night...2 great outside first run movies, grass to lay on or chair to enjoy movies under the stars, PLACE IS SIMPLE AMAZING SUMMER OR IN WINTER...I LOVE THIS PLACE, I LOVE THIS PLACE, MY FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT AND WATCH A MOVIE!
