Was charged $175.00 for a 10 minute visit and 5 of those minutes were used to write an estimate for a hot water heater that was not needed to be replaced in the first place. Eric did not trouble shoot anything and he visually looked at the hot water heaters date of manufacture and decided that it was old and needed to be replaced. Meanwhile, we told him that we were having issues with our water softener which he dismissed. I guess commission on selling a hot water heater was more important than finding a solution to our water softener issues. I do not recommend this company. read more

I really wanted to give a small business my business of getting a new water heater so when I received the postcard marketing Charity Plumbing I attempted to call. Calls are not answered directly. Unfriendly and unconcerned woman who answers the phone only after repeatedly calling back or leaving a message. I was very clear in what my needs were but she didn't bother informing the tech of what my needs were. Very friendly tech showed up and was straight forward and helpful. When he left I thought we had a game plan which involved me getting the equipment on my own. He gave me his number so I could stay in touch with him. I later asked him if he could obtain the equipment himself and proceed with installation. It was only after days of miscommunication that he informed me to call the office to schedule. I attempted to call the office and once again, no answer. At this point I felt the entire process was unprofessional. I went with a larger company who was clearly more motivated for my business. A month later I received a bill from Charity Plumbing for a service call that stated it was my responsibility for not calling to schedule. I reluctantly paid it but I want to share my experience. read more

Charity Plumbing tore apart the underneath of my home to access the plumbing for my kitchen remodel but when it came to plugging up the hole they made they told me I was "on my own" To their credit they did attempt to put a piece of "styrofoam packing material" in the hole they made. Cody was the rookie service tech. Promised to put my barrier back up after he was done but left everything open and exposed to the elements. They were great when my hot water tank needed to be replaced. They worked with my work schedule and didn't charge an additional fee to work with my availability. The tech that came out was friendly and professional and made it a point to clean up any mess he made while installing the new tank it. On a separate day, I messaged to get a possible quote for repairing my washing machine. While that is not something they do, they were still able to help by referring me to someone who could help. I hired Charity Plumbing for the first time yesterday. The work was done well and I was happy with the professionalism of the technician. There were some issues that stemmed from miscommunication, which I was originally frustrated with. However, immediately upon learning of my frustration, they bent over backward to make it right and went above and beyond (more than I could imagine) to make me happy and did so very quickly. Cody is a ROCK STAR!! We have been without water for 20 hours. He figured out the problem with a faucet in the master bath, fixed it, and got us back up and running in less than 30 minutes. He also saw that our hot water temp was too high and discussed with me a better setting. Finally, we mentioned our dishwasher hose was not connected to the sink, haven't been able to use it. He spent 10 minutes under the sink and now he have a dishwasher!! Cody is our new Best Friend and welcome for Sunday Pot Roast dinner any time. read more

There are two other plumbers that I have reviewed, and I would stand by those reviews. I had work done by a handy man service, they claimed to have many years of plumbing experience, and they advertised in trusted places. I have not reviewed them. I suppose every one can have a bad day, but I've had a huge repair bill, thankfully I have insurance. We keep finding issues from work performed by them. I've had Charity in for the third time to address new discoveries, eg. work that needed to be redone or corrected and showed up as a defect, now more than a month later. Charity was recommended by the company brought in to dry out my house. As I said before, I will call Charity again, and I have. I also had Jim replace some aging valves, and make the repairs from the previous work. I wish I knew of Charity before any of this started. Charity is my first plumber to call. We don't need a maintenance contract. That's another reason to use Charity. read more

Find a different plumber. We previously had Cody out and had a horrible experience. I left a review and received a response from the owner backing Cody up for his unwillingness to communicate with us. After speaking with our HOA regarding such, it was brought to our attention that there is no reason or policy in place preventing Cody from communicating with us. We are homeowners, not renters. In fact, per our HOA, the plumber should have communicated with us and not doing so caused more back and forth and confusion. I'd look around before calling this company out. read more

BEWARE!!! I had a tech Bill come to my property to evaluate the plumbing issue and give me an estimate. After Bill evaluated the issues we spoke to him several times to confirm that he accurately evaluated the problem and gave us a solid price to have the job done. He told us we would have to remove 2 kitchen cabinets to access the pipes which we did. We then scheduled the job. Today I had a different plumber come to my home. To begin with he did not give me his name and his appearance was dirty and sloppy. I knew he was from the company because his shirt said so and I saw the truck. He cut a hole in my wall then proceeded to tell me that he was not informed that the other wall was brick and/or the difficulty of the job. Then stated he didn't have the equipment/parts to proceed and did not have a helper. He said he didn't know how long it would take to complete the job and or how long it would take him to return with parts and helper. He then said he would run the pipe on the interior or exterior wall which is not what I was told when I scheduled the appointment. He said they didn't tell him about the brick wall. The house is brick its no mystery? This plumber did not know anything about the job and did not have any parts in his truck???Even though he called the office and spoke to Bill several times to continued to present confused about the job not to mention unprepared. What the tech did know and made sure he told me is that he would charge me $400.00 more than what was initially quoted because he works by the hour and he made sure to tell me that he charges the company $109.00 hour and would have to find a helper that he pays $40.00 day. He then leaves to supposedly get what he needs. 2 hours after he leaves I call the company to ask what is going on? I call Bill and he hangs up on me then starts texting me t hat the tech told him I was going to get additional quotes. Which was never discussed WTF!!!! This has been they most disappointing, unprofessional, questionable, unprepared, contradictory, deceiving company that I have ever dealt with. Not to mention that they wasted my time. The tech also said the owner of the company would call me. I'm still waiting for the call!! This company is shady don't hire them. The best part of my experience is that they did not return and I did not pay for a job that they consistently contradicted what the problem was and or how much I was to pay. read more

We are overjoyed with the kindness of this company! They came out within a few hours of us calling them to help us at the shelter with a very clogged sump pump which was starting to flood. Bill came out, checked out our pump and had it cleaned up and working in no time. The staff were all overjoyed at his friendliness and his quickness to help! I chose Charity due to the Yelp reviews. We had a water leak after hours which lead to the need to re-pipe her 40 year old mobile home. I called two other companies to get quotes and they were not even willing to repipe underneath a mobile home. Many issues were discovered upon the work starting but even though we were without water for a week; Charity completed the job thoroughly and honored the quote even though they lost money on the job because the original quote was not done correctly. They are very knowledgeable and they charge very resonable prices. Originally I called because of some leaking facets and a bathtub that just wouldn't drain and he was at my house within a few days to fix everything. Even when we found out the worst possible scenario (roots growing into the pipes), he was able to come back with some technicians a few days later to replace the pipes before they could get any worse.
