They did the right thing eventually but it took a lot of effort first. I don't know what to tell you. Like everyone else reviewing, my home warranty company hired this place. I guess that's red flag number one. But John came out and had great customer service gave me a quick fix on my hot water heater and told me that a specific part needed to be ordered and that he would be back. He then told the home warranty company that a specific part needed to be ordered. He didn't come back. No one called. So I called back and asked what was going on. I was told that John didn't make any notes stating that he needed to come back and that they had not ordered any parts for my hot water heater. Long story short, the manager, Jodie, called me and gaslighted me for a little while ("Who knows what John said or what needed to be done." "I do Jodie. Also the warranty company knows because he told them the same thing."). In the end they made it right. They got to the right place in the end, not because they were following through on what they said they would do, there was some lying and gaslighting, and I had to make a lot of phone calls. So while they eventually got to the right place. I don't trust them to do something right the first time and I'll ask my warranty company to find someone else next time. read more

Update: I see that the owner of Lion's Den Plumbing has placed a response to my review. Another reviewer stated that the owner attempted to gaslight him. The same sort of thing is going on here, he has written a lot but none of the information is relevant. It is a clear attempt to obfuscate the facts of the case. The key issue is that Lion's Den Plumbing made the unilateral decision to destroy property (hose) during a job without asking permission to proceed, then compounded this act by not notifying the homeowner of this and by leaving the destroyed hose coiled in the front yard so as to disguise the fact that it was damaged. I can only assume that Lion's Den Plumbing thought they would get away with this and that by the time anyone noticed, it would be too late to do anything about it. I referred this issue to the BBB, and the case was found to have enough merit for BBB to send it to an expert committee later this month to determine the penalty. read more

The person scheduling was so abrasive, not flexible and intent on sucking on her teeth, all around not professional, I canceled and obtained a new company. When the warranty company called to cancel the job, they also agreed with my initial assessment. This is the 1st person of contact representing the company and no way would I let them in my home. I hope the owner sees this and addresses it, because I am sure I'm not the only one off put, and this is costing his company more than 1 lost job. read more

The first time my home warranty sent lion's den out they were great. Fast and very knowledgeable. I had such a great experience that anytime i had any other plumbing issues I requested them by name from my home warranty. But the most recent time was a horrible experience. The person they send out kept insisting that the part that I wanted changed did not need to be changed. Despite his fellow coworker recommending that this certain piece be changed on my last outcall. I tried reaching out to the original person from lion's den that recommended that part be changed but I left multiple messages but no call back. read more

Excellent company and service - Highly recommend. Ask for John to do your repairs. Honest and reasonable prices. The technician John was very knowledgeable and cordial. He took time to explain things and respected my questions and had a great service attitude. I had him replace my garbage disposer through the home warranty. Had a garbage disposal issue, called my home warranty company who sent Lion's Den out. Someone called me first thing Monday morning and said they had an appt Tuesday afternoon, I booked it. Got a call Monday evening that they had a cancellation and could come between 8-8:30 am Tuesday instead! Perfect! He called when he was on his way, got here on time, assessed the issue, replaced the disposal and is already on his way to his next appt. and its only 8:40 am. The manager of this company is incompetent, immature and rude. Definitely skip this plumbing business for another. In response to Jody: I had called the company back because the technician had told me to do so if there were any issues. I understand that the plumbing company's hands are tied when it comes to the warranty, but I was mostly shocked by how immature the manager spoke to me from the beginning of the phone call that began with me being confident that this company would show good service. If you read his reply to me and most other of the yelp reviews you can see how combative and belittling he is as he is trying to defend himself against criticism and win new customers. I've never before felt the need to give any negative online reviews to any company, but after the bizarre interaction I had with Jody where he ended the call by saying "if you know so much then why don't you run a plumbing company!" And hanging up. So odd Anyway, a note on competency: I had another plumber come independent of a home warranty (I'm not adverse to spending the money necessary to get a plumbing issue fixed in my family's home like Jody suggests along with me putting tampons and potato peels down the toilet even though the technician hadn't snaked out a single scrap of debris). The new plumber immediately noticed that the seal beneath the toilet was totally corroded and patched up from improper maintenance in the past. He replaced the seal with materials that cost me less than 35$ at Home Depot. There were never any issues with my pipes and the new plumber diagnosed the actual (and obvious) problem immediately and fixed it quickly. It wasn't hard for him to do the job correctly the first time. I'm not the only one who can't say that for Lions den LLC. read more

Called and spoke to Jodi the owner of the company who reassured us that we would be on the schedule the very next day with our new water heater. Terrible!! DO NOT have Lions Den come to your home. We have a First American home warranty which I now regret having. My angle valve broke on my kitchen faucet (hot water valve) just before I left town. I didn't have time to fix before I left so I logged into the warranty site and paid my $75 to have someone come out. Lions Den was assigned and they came out - my wife told me a very young plumber came out to the home didn't spend much time with her and then told her the issue was PRE-EXISTING....WHAT? The valve just broke! The plumber wanted an additional $130 or something like that so my wife sent him away without the repairs made.I called Jody who gently tried to defend this issue being a pre-existing condition but had a hard time defending his guy- I told him what went on and he told me he was going to look into the matter and call me back the next say. He DID NOT follow up with me as promised so if he decides to respond to the negative review he does not have much to stand on as he was part of the problem. John came out on a "second opinion" call from our warranty company and I could not be happier. He actually brought tools with him and was early for the slotted appt. time. Yahoo!!! He was wonderful and we gave him money for lunch and asked for his card so that we can call him if we have any plumbing issues, including requesting this company directly for any warranty work, or work that is not covered by warranty. Our warranty company scheduled Lion's Den and they've done a great job on variety of issues. They are diligent about scheduling and keeping you updated on process and next steps. Recently I called them to schedule a water softener system tuning as our system was relocated and re-attached due to other issue. I was concerned the contractor didn't reattach it right. lion's Den took the time to talk me through how to self-assess it and fix the issue - saving us a service visit. A morning inquiry in a non-emergency situation resulted in an on-time service call that very afternoon where both Alex and Jody were more than happy to answer my many questions while performing the job in a rapid and professional manner. More than willing to install an item I had purchased elsewhere, the work performed more than met my possibly unreasonably high standards and the fees charged were very reasonable. I am not one to write reviews. The reason I don't is because... you don't know me and I don't know you. But, I've had such a bad experience with this company I felt others should know. I have a home warranty with First American and they set this appointment. Jody, the owner of Lion's Den doesn't listen and has an extremely bad attitude. He called me in the morning to set the appointment. I told him I appreciated his quick response, but he heard something completely different and long story short... he hung up. I called him back, leaving a message. Jody obviously heard that time so we set the appointment. Alex, the employee of Lion's Den shows up the next morning. Again, rude, wouldn't listen, refused to do his job and left after two to three minutes of being in my home. I then called my warranty company. The girl gave me all the information Lion's Den said about the situation. Most of it was lies and half truths! After spending almost 45 minutes on the phone with American Home Warranty and giving them my side of the story... they gave me another plumber. Now my issues are resolved! New garbage disposal by they way guys (Jody and Alex); the new company actually diagnosed the problem and agreed it needed to be replaced. Plus the new plumber found a crack in a pipe I never saw and fixed that also! I had a Cox Communication tech in my house at the time Alex showed up... He and I worked very well together. He also agreed Alex, who was here for only two minutes or maybe three, was extremely rude and had no time to do any kind of diagnosis. These guys are terrible and actually complained about me to my warranty company. Thankfully both my warranty company and the new plumber company understood my frustration and did an excellent job! Like I said, I don't write reviews, I'll now go write a good review for the new plumbing company, because I don't just want to complain. Surprisingly Fantastic Service! Not only did they provide same-day service, but they came at the promised time! Unheard of!! The plumber, Greg, gave me a courtesy call ahead to let me know he was on his way! So helpful. Every interaction was professional AND respectful. I would have given 5 stars, but we had to have them come out twice, for 2 different issues in their defense. It may be possible that the first guy could have assisted with the 2nd issue a little more. Despite that weak possibility, we requested them the 2nd time through our home warranty as we felt like we could trust them to do a great job with the assigned work order. My husband tells me the first guy did an amazingly over-the-top job beyond expectations. Our home warranty sent this company to replace our broken water heater. At first I was impressed by their timely response and immediate scheduling of an appointment. The technician was John and he was great. He arrived when he was supposed to and was quick and efficient. Then he asked me for payment. He told me my home warranty doesn't cover the entire replacement so I paid. A few days later my home warranty contacted me and asked how the service was and made sure there was NO FEE as it is covered. I immediately called the office and they said it's not normal for the home warranty to cover everything and they will issue a refund when manager arrives. I called them the next 4 days and they wouldn't return my calls until my husband called and left a message saying we will tell our home warranty about their shadiness and the money they still owe us. The manager called my husband back and said it is refunded. It's been more than two weeks and we still haven't received a refund. They are very shady. read more

A gentleman named Joe was the plumber who worked to resolve four different plumbing issues that needed to be fixed. He was knowledgeable, courteous, prompt, easy to talk to and everything that he did was done quickly and worked the first time. In addition LDP worked with my insurance to cover a cracked shower head. Joe stopped by a few days later on time as usual and installed it correctly, quickly and to our complete satisfaction.
