I had a similar issue years ago when I lived in the suburbs, and it only cost $25, but I expected a higher price this time given the area. After reading the reviews, it seems like experiences vary, which unfortunately feels common with most body shops. Overall, I'm just glad the tires were able to be patched and that I wasn't charged the $158-per-hour labor rate.

The quote went from being $2,000+ to about $500. I felt that his willingness to dialogue with me made all the difference, and I could tell quite plainly that he was completely honest, experienced, and also straightforward. Sure enough, he was able to work some magic on my catalytic converter, replace some spark plugs, and tweak a couple other things here and there. I originally took the car because it had failed an emissions inspection. When I arrived to pick it up, I found that he had taken the liberty of bringing the car to an emissions place and had already gotten it passed. The paperwork was sitting on my dashboard. It's been about 3 months since then; I wanted to wait some time to confirm that my issues would not return. Should have taken 5 minutes. I left over an hour later with nothing done. The staff member refused my application because my photos were black and white. There is no written policy anywhere that says this. She then pushed me to pay their ridiculous ~$10 for photos taken there. No apology. No explanation. No attempt to help. Just attitude and a hard sell. She was condescending, rude, and could not hold a basic civil conversation. This is not just a bad employee. This is a management problem. The person running this branch is either never present, not paying attention, or simply does not care how customers are treated. That attitude does not come from nowhere. It comes from the top.

Finally, after Edward at BRA was finally able to get the adjuster to approve the parts they worked after hours to get my engine repaired and put back together.
