Dan, Romero and team are great. While out of town over the holiday the power outage burned out some contactors and a well pump. After I replaced all, the system still would not pump water. Dan and team came out on New Years eve to trouble shoot the electrical system. He determined that the circuit board was also burned out. He researched what board I needed on new year's and let me know what to order. Part came in, I installed it and water is back in operation. He was happy to come out and do the small job and was free with his knowledge to improve my troubleshooting and repairs. I would not hesitate to call them for any electrical issues in the future. We had an appointment with Dan Charles on 1/16/2026 at 9:00 AM. He said he would call 15 Min. before his scheduled arrival. We called him because he installed a new whole house generator for our next door neighbor and the crew and owner did a fanastic job next door; installation was about a week ago. He never called, as he said he would do, never showed up, as he said he would. Later in the day, after we called him, he said he could come by later in the afternoon. We declined his offer. He can do a great job when he wants to. Personally, I cannot rate him as a profeesional. The way he failed to respond to our scheduled appointment was disappointing and very unprofessional. If you need a generator or services related to a genaerator, look around for someone who actually is professional. Dan Charles doesn't qualify as one. read more

I hired Dan to set up a portable generator with a transfer switch. He was very personable at our initial meeting. We agreed that the generator inlet would be installed on the exterior of my home. This is important so that when the generator is running, the exhaust doesn't enter through open windows or doors, a health and safety code violation. When he completed the job, the inlet had been installed INSIDE the garage! This would require me to plug it in through an open garage door. I reminded him of the terms of our installation agreement. He promised to come back and make the correction. Unfortunately, he had several personal excuses and on numerous occasions, kept me waiting at home and never showed up. He said he would be back "when he came up for air" but that never happened. This week, with all the power outages due to the heat wave, I was unable to start the generator. I decided to see if Dan might redeem himself, but how gullible can I be? He agreed to stop by after he completed another job. I sat around all afternoon waiting for him and again, he was a no-show. After reviewing the owner's manual, I realized he did not provide me with all the parts to the generator, and the battery was not connected correctly. Well, that catalog photo definitely doesn't match our house, barn, and propane tank in three different locations on a steep slope! But Dan Charles and his team figured out how to make it all work. If you are looking for perseverance and problem-solving in a complex situation, they are most likely your very best option for a Generac installation on the mountain. In the end, we had two different meters and buildings -- with a very long wire pull around the perimeter of the property, up a steep slope, and under a paver walkway -- connected to our propane tank. Previous owners of our house researched a generator option and couldn't find a way to connect the entire property ... but Dan did! In addition to being full of great ideas, he has a big heart and truly cares about people. He recognized our particular generator needs and made sure they were taken care of. Dan made multiple trips up the mountain even before the start of the work to be sure that we had the right plan. For the original estimate, he spent over an hour walking the entire property with me, brainstorming options.
