Charles and his guys came to my house a couple months back and clear out multiple trees, stumps and trimmed back over grown trees. They did such a fantastic job and were very professional. When he first came over we went through a plan on how to get my backyard looking the best because it was a literal jungle. Spectacular workmanship that far surpassed 3 other San Diego companies that we have hired in the past to clean up the backyard. Charles provided a very competitive quote to remove a much loved, but pesky Silk Floss tree impeding replacement of our retaining wall. Forest flawlessly sectioned this beast to the ground and removed all residual stump material. They expertly subdued our 80-year-old Pepper Tree that had split from rotting roots while preserving the healthy off-shoots. I called and spoke directly with Charles to have a large pepper tree removed that was hanging over my roof and also just above my A\C condenser, on the backside of my house. Charles and his crew showed up on time and got right down to business. They were quick to cut down the tree and took caution not to take out the A\C condenser in the process. They picked up their mess when done and left the yard clean. You really can't tell that a tree was ever there since they ground down the stump and disposed of all the tree trimmings. I had a great experience with Charles and his team. I requested a quote on Friday, he came out early on Saturday to give me an estimate, and had a team at my place on Monday morning. They removed three queen palms (one quite large and in an awkward location) and ground down the stumps. They also ground down the stumps of four more trees, trimmed two queen palms, and cleaned up two sago palms. All of this was done in about three hours. Of the four initial estimates that I received, Charles' was tied for the lowest and seemed very reasonable. The final price paid is exactly what we had agreed upon. I might deduct half a star for somewhat of a messy cleanup (understandable considering the state of the palms) and because my side fencing was very slightly damaged (one picket had a piece chipped off, and I had to reattach another, but understandable given the very narrow space to get the stump grinder into my backyard). However, for the sake of this review, I think five stars is deserved. Overall, I was very pleased with the speed, service, and pricing. Thank you Charles and team. read more

This is the third time that Charles Tree Service has come to our home. I can't say enough about the job Charles and his crew did! This time, it was pretty technical and involved cutting back a densely branched olive tree that is situated close to live power lines. Charles and another member of his team climbed the tree, made the cuts and ensured that all limbs and branches were cut back safely while preserving the shape and integrity of the large tree. Two carrot wood trees were also trimmed way back with extensive remedial trimming to help ensure that they will grow back properly with a healthy and attractive shape and structure. The friendly crew cleared all the debris and like magic....everything was ground in their tree shredder and they left my yard cleaner and looking much better than when they arrived with the job completed in just a few hours.
