I had a big eucalyptus tree split in half during the Thanksgiving week storms. Half of the tree fell down the hillside behind my house and took out another tree and the corner of my neighbor's fence. The part of the tree left standing was unstable and I needed to get it taken care of before the next storm to avoid more damage. Charles and his team made my job a priority and took care of everything the day after he came out to assess the damage. They chopped up and hauled away the fallen part of the tree and cut down the rest of the tree. They did a great job. Charles was very professional and responsive in his communication and he recommended another contractor to fix the fence. It was easy to pay on his website. Charles and his team made short work of my 40-50 ft Mexican fan palm, a thick spiky yucca tree, and another 30 ft palm. They were able to come in the next day and finish the job in a few hours. Ok anyone who knows me will say I'm hard to please . Until I hired Charles Tree Service and his crew. Charles came out within 24 hours of my request for a quote and before I knew it had was having the messy 60 foot Palm tree taken out of my backyard. We hired Charles Tree Service to cut down five palm trees in our backyard. These trees were very tall, taller than our two-story home. The crew was very hard working and did the job safely and efficiently. They even had to deal with our nasty neighbors who were complaining about getting sawdust in their yard, which the crew cleaned up when the job was finished. One plank from our wooden fence was broken in half when one of the pieces of the tree trunk landed on it, but they did an outstanding job otherwise despite the trees being very close to the house and fence. read more

I am so pleased with the work just done by Charles and his crew. They had been here several years ago to trim back 2 of our trees. They did such a good job that when we needed additional work done we called them. Charles gave us an estimate for removing one tree, trimming another and cutting back some trees growing over from a neighbor's house. We set a time and they showed up right on time. They went to work right away and did an amazing job. The tree was removed and the stump ground and the next tree was expertly trimmed. We had originally asked that they remove a branch from a eucalyptus tree that was growing towards our roof. The neighbor's pepper tree was growing over our power lines running from the pole to our house. They trimmed the pepper tree back and then the eucalyptus all while expertly maneuvering the bucket around the power lines . Their cleanup was impeccable. There were no limbs or twigs left and they even cleaned up leaves that were on the ground before they came. The crew were all friendly and worked tirelessly. The times that I went out to see how it was going the foreman would check to be sure they were doing what we wanted. When the job was complete they checked with me to be sure we were satisfied. They were also well equipped. The array of tools and equipment was extensive and there was no doubt in my mind that the job was going to be done well. I needed 6, 35' Pine Trees taken out of my back yard, those were on a slope with no access for a machine and a 50' cedar tree in my front yard removed. I also needed my magnolia tree and a pepper tree which are 30' to 40' trimmed back/ thinned out. I had 5 tree service companies come out to give me bids. 4 companies gave me bids and another didn't even respond to a text asking them for the bid. Contacted Charles about a tree trimming quote on 2-25-16. We set up a time for Sunday 2-28-16 for him to come which he did with his young daughter. He left and said he'd get back to me with a quote in the next couple of days. On 3-2 I called and he said he'd get back to me. I called again on 3-9 and he said I'd get a quote that night. He never followed through to give me a quote and a short time later called me to refer me to another trimmer. Rather that come out and waste my time it would have been more professional to say he was to busy right now to take on any more jobs if that was the case. Charles Tree Service did an excellent job pruning and lacing our very large jacaranda tree (and a couple smaller trees). I left a message on Sunday, Charles called back Monday and did the quote on Tuesday. We had been worried because our house electrical line goes through the tree branches and I've planted some nice plants underneath. When Charles gave us the quote, we were impressed by how he made some suggestions that would keep our electric lines clear from tree branches for longer. When we decided to choose them, he scheduled us for the next day. They did a great pruning job (which was much more involved than I had realized), protected my plants, avoided the electrical wires, cleaned up afterwards and even took some pieces of a tree we had removed (and had been trying to get into our green waste bit by bit).
