He and his crew did a great job. They were concerned with safety. They cleaned the tree seeds and leaves from my roof gutters as well. Everything was cleaned up so well that you could not tell we had any work done that day. It was great. They even worked with the trash collection, which in our small cul-de-sac can be an issue for those big trucks. They did not smoke which is a big issue for us. A previous company took down a large tree in the yard and left the trunk. After years of having that trunk in our way, we will call Charles to remove it when the veggies next to it have stopped producing this season. Called Charles for a quote, he talked and sounded very interested, said he'd come out and give me a quote. I sent him pictures of the tree, waited and waited more. I called him at least 2-3 more times over the next couple weeks, he apologized each time and said he got busy and would get out to give me a quote. He never came out and never gave me a quote. Very unprofessional. At the end, 3-4 phone calls down the road and a few weeks later he finally said he couldn't do/ couldn't handle the job. I told him what I wanted done and he didn't listen, and when I told him all the dead branches needed to be removed his reply was "I don't know about all of it". I paid Charles $5000. His crew came out and did a great job!! They are Eugenia's and very old and from before we purchased our home. -This post is long overdue, my apologies. Charles and his team did a job for us back in November when a pool flood caused our huge California pepper tree's roots to decay and die out. In addition to that, the soil softened up and the tree fell over (on our neighbors shed). I left a message with Yelp asking Charles to remove a medium sized tree from my back yard. He responded to me with a call within an hour and we set up a time to meet the next day. When he came by to give me a quote, I requested he cut the stump down below lawn level so I could just mow over it. I found Charles Tree Service on yelp and picked him based off the good reviews. I messaged through the email but did not get a response (I messaged around 10 pm and no response was 930 AM. I'm sort of impatient) so I decided to call and spoke to Charles. I told him I needed a palm tree (not sure on feet but about 2.5-3 story house size) removed. He asked when I was available because he needed to see it to give a quote. After coming by to check it out, he gave a great price, especially considering that it was maybe 2 feet away from a fence I share with my neighbor, 10 feet from the house and in the backyard. He came by with his team the next day and it was done super quick. In about 2 hours it was completed. He also noted my tangerine tree hadn't been pruned/trimmed in a while (he was right.
