We tried the happy hour oysters and some other varieties, and they were all amazing and fresh. I also tried their snow crab - delicious and very well exceeded my expectations. We also had some hush puppies and they are a must buy! They're only $7, and super good, especially when paired with the sweet butter. The service here is amazing. We were constantly checked in on by our waiter, and he did an amazing job throughout our entire meal.

I stayed for a drink and ended up getting treated to an incredible thunder and lightning show over the city. It wasn't even raining, which made it even cooler to watch from the rooftop. While the bartender was nice, fast, and good at her job everyone else around her just didn't seem to care to provide service. The chips on the trio platter were beyond stale and since servers didn't care to serve the top deck tables were left unbussed and dirty. Not sure if this experience was a case of severe understaffing or just negligence on the management. I'd recommend going to literally any other rooftop bar for a more elevated experience where the staff actually wants to serve the guests.

Last Saint is a really cool dual concept cocktail bar. The front of Last Saint is more casual - small, cozy, allows walk-ins. But you can also make reservations (or try to get lucky walking in) at the Annex. The Annex is their weekends-only cocktail experience in the back of Last Saint. You walk to the back of the bar and press ring the bell by the yellow door. Someone answers and seats at one of six seats at the bar and three small (but private) tables. The Annex is a no-menu experience. The friendly and creative staff ask you questions about your preferences for drinks and then make you something that fits the bill. It was personal and fun, and we enjoyed all the drinks we had. A reservation at the Annex is good for a 1.5 hour time frame, which was perfect for us to have two drinks before closing out and heading to our dinner reservation. We sat at the bar, which I loved, because we got to chat with the staff and watch them make our and others' drinks while we enjoyed our creative cocktails. The staff have a wide knowledge of cocktails and an almost endless supply of ingredients to choose from when making your drinks. A truly fun experience. One I haven't had in any other city. I wish there were more bars like Last Saint!

I grabbed a cocktail at the bar and while it was perfectly good, it wasn't particularly memorable. The bartender wasn't overly kind. The rooftop itself was also a bit underwhelming. I was hoping for sweeping views of Charleston but the scenery didn't quite live up to my expectations. One thing to note is that the nearby stables for Old South Carriage Company are close enough that you'll occasionally catch... well... the aromas drifting through the air. Not exactly what I was hoping to pair with my cocktail. Overall, I'm glad we stopped in for a drink, but I don't think it's a place I'd go out of my way to visit again. There are simply too many other rooftop bars and cocktail spots in Charleston I'd be more inclined to try in the future.
