My food was good I ate the sandwich but not the fries because I didn't want any. It was just in the combo with the drink.

I went in chasing a craving and walked out like I had just shaken hands with Pittsburgh itself. The burger I ordered showed up stacked like it had something to prove. Juicy, well-seasoned meat, tangy coleslaw, fresh tomato, and a pile of fries stuffed right into the sandwich like someone said "plates are optional, courage is not." This thing is an entire meal between your hands. Napkins were not a suggestion, they were a survival tool. Every bite hit. Messy in the best possible way. If you've never had fries inside your sandwich, congratulations, your life is about to take a turn. Let's talk about that sauce for a second. Slightly sweet, ridiculously good, and honestly disrespectful that they don't sell it by the jar. I would've walked out with two and a backup. On the side, we grabbed onion rings that came out crisp, golden, and ready for business. No sad, limp rings here. These had crunch, attitude, and a purpose. My wife went with the lasagna, and this is where things got a little chaotic. Flavor? Absolutely there. Rich, comforting, the kind of sauce that makes you slow down and pay attention. But the temperature situation was all over the map. Hot at the bottom, warm up top, and a mysterious cool zone in the middle like it was hiding secrets. It didn't ruin it, but it definitely kept it from greatness. We closed it out with a slice of cheesecake that was light, delicate, and knew exactly when to stop. Not heavy, not over-the-top, just a clean, smooth finish that said "you made good choices today." Shoutout to our server, whose name I completely missed because I was busy wrestling a sandwich the size of a small child. Friendly, dialed in, always there when we needed him and never hovering like a helicopter parent. Four stars, and it hurts a little not to make it five. Fix the lasagna consistency and we're not even having a conversation about it next time. Because yes, there will be a next time. And when I come back, I'm ordering that sandwich again, bringing extra napkins, and leaving my dignity in the car.

Cozy place, Olympics on tv, long bar. It'll do. Our efficient server took our order and brought out in house brewed sweet tea for everyone. You won't find that in Pittsburgh! Calamari for starters. Tubes and tentacles just as I prefer. I chose the Pitts-burger which is loaded with fries and slaw in the sandwich which is the PBs way. Yummy. Took half home. A filling lunch with good friends.

We started coming here after playing 18 holes nearby. It stood out quick as it has strong towny bar vibes with quality drinks and service too. And its open early so perfect for a pre-noon beverage after a good round on the course. We get in usually about 1045. There's usually close to a dozen people also celebrating, maybe just that its the weekend. The vibes are always cheery. The other day we came in and there were dozens of locals having a pot luck lunch. They insisted we grab some food. I have gotten food from the kitchen a few times. If its not to busy the cook comes out for a bit. It's the best to just ask him straight up, "what's cooking good today", and he will tell you. His Philly is excellent. I did see it on a list the other day somewhere that it was one of the top dive bars in South Florida. I concur.

Worth eating are Big Dog's tater tots so crisp and good. I had the burger which was fine too. Service is very personalized and it feels somewhat like a beach shack and with patrons sipping their beers with the ocean breezes (full disclosure Big Dog is not on the beach the atmosphere just feels like it). It's a fun experience.
