Had a reservation to go from airport to Alison Disney resort. Worked perfectly and driver was super! Will use again.

This is hands down the worst taxi cab experience I've ever had. Horrible company,after arranging a cab to the airport the day prior I find no cab at the appointed time, so I call, I'm like, "it's that time, don't see my ride..." the woman's response tells you everything you need to know about this garbage company, she says,"Yeah we're a little busy right now." That's the attitude, "Yeah, we're a little busy now." After this cab was half an hour late I wanted to be too busy to pay them. We barely made it to the plane so thanks a whole lot for nothing but aggravation and stress. No stars, terrible service, completely lackadaisical attitude, here's hoping Uber and Lyft smoke companies like this. read more

We used Charley's taxi's a couple of times during our holiday. The drivers were all really helpful and friendly. Because of this we decided to use them for a 3 hour trip to the Dole plantation and the North Shore. I phoned them and was quoted $50 an hour which I was happy to pay. As we had a 12 week old baby, a long bus trip was not an option. When we got up to the plantation, the driver had not been told that he was on a "by the hour basis". It really ruined our whole day and we ended up just coming back to our hotel. The driver was awesome but the fool dispatcher denied that this was ever agreed to, why would I make this up? I recommend if you use this service make sure the driver knows what's up. read more

Last Friday we ordered a taxi at 10 am for a taxi to arrive at our house and take us to the Honolulu airport at 10:30 pm (flight was at midnight- I live 10 min from the airport-kam heights). We received a call from the taxi company at 10:30 saying that they don't have a taxi in our area to take us. They said as soon as one comes available they will send us one. They had no idea of what time one will be available. I told them I ordered one earlier that day and if I knew they wouldn't send us one on time I would have ordered another taxi from someone else. They said that they were very busy all of a sudden and couldn't do anything to help us and didn't know when one will come available. At 10:50 we decided that we couldn't wait any longer and had to take our car and park at the airport- not only were we late for the plane but we had to pay for a week of parking at the airport. We had to rush through the aiport with baby and baggage in toe and barely made it to when people were boarding. I used to use this company but no longer will. I can't believe that they couldn't plan a taxi to arrive on time with a day notice. Very disapointed. I would have given them a second chance if they would have offered anything other than just a straight up "nothing we can do for you" attitude. read more

Super rude and always pretending they dont know where they're going or can't understand English to drive your rates up. If you're a tourist, or look like one, they will ask you how to get to your destination, testing to see how knowledgable you are and if they can get away with going the long way, or swinging around the block cause they can't find the driveway. Cab drivers have to take an extensive test on nearly every destination on this island, they know what they are doing and the fastest way to get there, but the general rule of thumb on Oahu is "Tourists pay more" I'm in retail and hospitality, this is an ongoing "joke" in my industries. I've filed a complaint with management and they kept making excuses and arguing a point I wasnt even trying to make. Trust me on this and go with Uber, or at least know the rate range that your trip can be expected to cost and refuse to pay more. read more

horrible. I had called them because my airport ride bailed on me and couldn't get on base. I told them I was in N*** Hall on JBPHH and they said they had dispatched someone and it would take 10-15 minutes. Waiting in front of my building no one comes by so I call them up and they said the driver had drove by and no one was there; they dispatch another driver. I made it clear I was at N*** Hall and everything. Same thing happens again and I call a second time. At this time, my flight is about to leave in less than forty minutes. The manager says his GPS says he went by N*** Hall and I wasn't there but I was waiting out there the whole time. They dispatch a third driver and after another grueling 10 minutes I get a call from my driver saying he is in front of U*** Hall, A DIFFERENT BUILDING. I told him I was in N*** Hall and he didn't even know where it was. I was so fed up I had a friend speed his way down to pick me up and I missed my flight thanks to the amazing work of this company. If it were off base I'm pretty sure they do an amazing job. On base, not so much. read more

I paid a for a premium service from Honolulu Airport to our hotel and that's not exactly what I got. On arriving at the baggage claim, where the driver did indeed meet us, he was sitting down and did not have the flowers leis ready. He had to fumble to untie the bags they were in while we stood and watched. For the price I paid he should have been standing at the ready, with leis on his arm to greet us. Too bad, this was my 84 year old mothers last trip there and I wanted to make it special. I was offered a 10% reduction on a flat rate taxi back to the airport to compensate - would have amounted to a whole $3 . . . woo hoooo! read more

We had a grand 6-day vacation at Hilton Village in Honolulu. However, our vacation ended with concerns and anxiety as our son realized he lost his cell phone when we got to the airport. We called Hilton and tried to dispatch the limo we rode to the airport. The limo belongs to Charley's Taxi Company. Debra at Charley's was very helpful to contact the driver, Kevin. Although there's no sign of the phone after their search, Debra texted and kept us informed while we were in the air. As we almost gave up the next day, we got a call from the lost phone! Kevin, the driver called from the phone. One of his passengers found the phone in between seats and passed it on to him. He then forwarded the phone to Debra, who forwarded to their Corporate Office, and Chad from the Corporate Office shipped the phone back to our home. Throughout the 2 days, Debra has kept us well informed what steps they were at. We appreciate everyone at Charley's honesty and help to quickly recover the lost phone. We will use their service next time when we go Hawaii again. read more

Needed 2 taxis for 13 people at 3:45am. And 2 taxis at 4am for 12 peope I called them the day before to book and night before to confirm. 2 taxis got there at 3:30am and there policy is if they wait 10 mins they leave... well hello I reserved for 3:45am not 15 minutes earlier. So the first 2 taxis left. I called again to order 2 more cause the original left. I told my people to take the 2 which arrived at 3:55 and we would wait for the other three. I was in the process of checking out my room when the next 2 came at 4:03am. I asked if the driver could wait 1 minute so I could get my receipt. I went to the other side of the lobby, less than 50 feet away, to grab my co workers so they could get in the taxi first. By the time I walked back, one of the driver had loaded up another family and was leaving. I had to wait and call go another taxi which arrived at 4:20 am from a different cab company. What's the point of calling in early and reserving a taxi if the drivers don't care. This company and drivers suck. read more

Exclusive cab company of the Hilton. They were cheaper than all of the other taxis we were in. Clean, newer cabs and friendly drivers. I use google maps and they didn't take any detours like several of the other cab companies that we used. read more

Great flat rate to Aulani resort! They aren't allowed to pick you up in the airport taxi line which actually worked out well because the taxi line was so long! Very courteous driver with clean comfortable mini van. Got to Aulani in less than 30 min. So glad we didn't take Speedi Shuttle! The guy at Speedi shuttle couldn't give us any definitive answers on timing and just wanted to get us signed up for the shuttle. read more

I called Charley's exclusively for the past 18 years for travel in and around Waikiki. Good service until about 3 months ago, when there was an abrupt change in customer service. Taxis became very slow arriving (or, like today, 25 minutes after my first call I was told they did not yet "have a taxi for me"). Drivers had to rely on GPS, taking long ways around to the destination. I will never use the company again. read more

If I could give less than a star I would have. Driver drove over our begonias in the middle of the driveway and then proceeded to drive out of the way from Waialae Iki to DK's steakhouse. We told him he was taking the long way to get to Waikiki and he claimed he was avoiding traffic. My husband told the driver that he's worked in Waikiki over 30 yrs and knew the fastest route. But the driver wouldn't listen and jacked up our ride to $30. Total ripoff. Never use this company. We ubered it back and it was only $13.35 read more

Absolutely the best taxi on Oahu! I called them to get to a medical appointment and back home in the suburbs. The dispatcher was knowledgeable and promised an exact time for the driver to arrive. Great great service! Emailed then less than 24 hours and they sent a reply saying to wait at least 24 hrs to give them time to review the info but they sent me a confirmation booking within several hours. My flight landed late and the emailed instructions told me to call when I landed,which I did. The very nice lady told me exactly where to go, the driver was there and it was a quick ride home. At 29$ flat rate I was happy. He drove safely and well and was quiet. Definetly recommended them based on my experience. read more

If you need a taxi in Honolulu for your trip this is the only service to use. They give you a flat rate and they are always there waiting for you. We put their number in our phones and called them to arrange all arrangements from the Airport to hotels, hotels to port and port back to hotel or airport. They will always give you the flat rate. The only problem we did incur was at the port. Make sure that you get a flat rate from Charley's to include luggage. One of Charley's guys wanted to charge us for each piece of luggage but we told them that we had a flat rate from Charley's. The guy wasn't too pleased but oh well. Just make sure you get rates before you get in their cars. Overall = great company. read more

Called 24 hours in advance with flight # and arrival time as requested. Was told to call upon arrival, which I did. Promised a cab in 8 minutes. Passed up a shuttle offer of $12 each for my wife and I. Twenty minutes later still no Charlie. Called again and was told there was a water main break, traffic etc. and my ride into Honolulu would take an hour but I should wait another ten minutes. Forget it! I flagged a cab and was at my hotel within minutes. No thanks Charlie. read more

I have not and most likely will not ever ride in one of Charley's Taxi's because of they do not know how to use signals and they are just plain rude. One cut me off and then when I passed him he flipped me the bird when he was in the wrong. If you are looking for a cab I recommend you call (808)422-2222. Honestly the Bus is probably better. The van was clean. You can pay in cash or by credit card, which is convenient. The driver came 2 mins late which really wasn't a problem. He was nice and friendly. He asked me if I had a preferred route to my destination and he even turned the meter off when we got lost at the parking lot at ala moana. I gave this a 4 star because the operator was giving me attitude. She was mumbling at first so I wasn't sure if I was calling the right place, when I asked if this was a cab company, she spoke to me in a frustrated manner. But otherwise, it was all good. read more

While in Oahu for the Probowl it was our good fortune to meet Charlie. He was a source of knowledge on places to see, as well as provided us with reliable transportation to functions and sites. On top of that he was a source of entertainment; he makes everyone feel welcome and part of hs family! He arrived when he said he would be there to pick you up and all at a fair price. Stayed at Disney's Aulani Hotel on Oahu. They have arrangements with Charley's Taxi for a flat rate to Waikiki. When the driver dropped us off he blatantly stated the fare is $89 plus tip. I thought tips were options if we wanted to acknowledge good service rather than be automatically demanded as part of the cost. read more

I called the evening before my pick up; scheduled for a 4:15am pick-up. Called at 4:20am when they didn't show. Dispatch said the driver is 5 minutes out. I waited another 15 minutes-nothing. Called back, the dispatch informed me that they didn't have a driver for another 30 minutes (one hour after my original scheduled pick-up.) Why dispatch didn't tell me that when I called the first time is beyond me (i'm guessing to be selfish, and get more money.) They handled this very unprofessional, not to mention the blatant disrespect when the lady dispatch lied to me saying a taxi was 5 minutes away. I missed my flight, and the meeting I had scheduled. Needless to say, I will never use Charley's Taxi service ever again! read more

Everyone, I scheduled a Charley's taxi to pick me and my bride up from our wedding celebration at the Hilton on Waikiki. When I showed up to the front loop for the taxi at the scheduled time, there was a single minivan (not what I asked for) waiting that was in the middle of loading a family for a trip somewhere. I walked up to the driver and politely asked him if there was another cab on the way or if he could call the dispatch and ask them where my cab was since I didn't want to take the family's cab. He looked confused and told me to call the dispatch, which I did. When I told the dispatch what happened and that this was my wedding cab ride, he didn't seem to care and told me "there would be another cab on the way in 10 or 15 or so minutes". He didn't even apologize or sound concerned that my brand new bride was sitting on the corner of a dirty wall waiting for a cab that was 15 minutes late. I promptly took another cab that came up (not a charley's cab). Overall, I would not recommend this taxi service to anyone due to their unprofessionalism and their lazy sounding dispatcher. My wife had to sit down in her wedding dress on a curb for 15 minutes while we waited to get a ride. Sadly the worst. It used to be the best. They don't pick up in a timely manner and I think my New Years 2011 experience sums it up. I called at 8 pm for an 845pm taxi. I gave my name and number and they never said i needed to answer a confirmation call back (normally when you get a taxi here you don' need to do this) . I was out at the curb 5 min before my scheduled pick up. A call back came but since I was unaware there was an incoming call i was not near my phone so they cancelled my taxi. Calling back i was put on hold once and then after I made my second call I was told my cab was cancelled since i didn't answer the call back that I didn't know about. I was then transferred to a supervisor who said they would call back in 10 min. They did call me back but when i told them I had managed to fortunately flag down a cab they basically blew my off after that and hung up the phone on me because I said I said I wasn't happy. A very frustrating experience where they completely blamed it on it being New Year's and though I do understand this i feel like they just tick it off to it being New Year with no care to improvement or responsibility. I would call the cab at 422-2222 which finally got us to our destination. read more
