I like the pizza for what it is. My complaint about the place is that they don't want to honor the prices they advertise. Their website has a coupon they say isn't good anymore. I suggested they take the coupon off of their website and insisted they honor it in the meantime. The guy at the counter said "normal" people don't insist on getting the coupon price. Amazing to me that they think they're in the right on this one. Remove the coupon from the website - problem solved! read more

Decided to try their pizza for pickup on my way home from work. Arrived a few minutes before 4 and waited outside for them to unlock the door. When I went in there was no pizza ready. Nice guy told me that they don't open until 4, and the cook had just started. If I wanted my pizza it would be 45 minutes minimum wait. I showed him my receipt that said 4 pm pickup and paid for online. Someone needs to change the hours for online ordering to 5pm for earliest pickup for pizza. Canceled the order as I still had a 45 minute commute home. Too bad for them that I passed 50 other pizza places on my way home to choose from. Maybe some other time. read more

Ordered two pizzas for delivery. I never order delivery but needed to because my husband was on shift and I had a little one at home. Pizza arrived, carried it inside and opened the box to not one but two pizzas destroyed. I called immediately and the guy on the phone gave me two options: 1. Get a credit or 2. Wait another hour to get the pizzas remade and give back the original pizzas(very odd during COVID times). Since I had my little one, I couldn't leave and needed dinner. Not so fast! I am a 10 year carry out customer at the Batavia location and this place recently has taken a serious nose;dive! Big Time! Once upon a time the kitchen was bustling with fast paced movement assembling some of the best thin crust pizza around. The kitchen area was full of 'busy bees" while the phone was ringing off the hook. One individuals sole responsibility was to feed the oven while artfully handling a pizza peel. A thing of beauty watching the intensity of monitoring a blistfully hot oven...pizza in...pizza out... non stop! No longer the case. A hand full of workers do all the prep. No lobby crowd shoulder to shoulder waiting in anticipation. The ringing phones once a solid backgound hum have been replaced with the sounds of crickets...very quiet at that! What happened? I will tell you. "Conistency" What is a pizza joint that cant deliver a consistent pie..."In Trouble"! The toppings are placed haphazard at best. My last pizza had garlic as one of many selections. As I started to eat this I am thinking they forgot the garlic. When I got to the center pieces of the pie I discovered a garlic jackpot in high concentration. This is NO way the first time for this surprise because some times I have to pretend I can taste some. The placement of sausage is always questionable because quite often the majority of the pieces a void of any at all...often placed light years apart at that. One time I purchased a large $10.00 two topping special with sausage. Not hard to figure why they charge only ten bucks for dough and sauce with a guest appearance of cheese. The best for last. They now apparently perform a top secret application that allows the toppings and cheese to gracefully (and ever so effectively) slide off the crust. Slick! Sometimes in the box, sometimes on your shirt. This has happened more frequently as of late. I now wear a bib! read more

Charlie's always makes us a very good pizza but tonight was outstanding! It was as if we were their only customer. Toppings (sausage, mushroom, onion, green pepper and pineapple) were piled on, cheese was lightly browned and chewy. It was a thin crust pizza that was at least an inch thick! We live 10 minutes away and it was delivered so hot it almost burned my tongue, a nice problem to have. Good job Charlie!! Update, 5/6/18. Wow, what went wrong? They wouldn't honor a coupon for $5 off of a $25 purchase. Said it had to be a $30 purchase. The coupon was recently received through Money Mailer, had not expired and clearly stated $25. A legacy in the area with really good pizza. Delivery is always within the time we request and the pizza is always piping hot. In all the years we've been ordering from CF, we've experienced only one problem, they made the pizza wrong. But they gave us a free pizza on our next order. "prices are subject to change." So when you go on their website, there is pricing right? But it's not the ACTUAL price. So remember that when it says "X amount" it's not actually going to be that price. Its probally gonna be 3$ more. Not probally. It will be. So what's advertised as a 23$ pizza is actually 26$ pizza but don't worry there's a 3$ coupon..so coupons are not real and neither are their prices on the website. Advertising a lower priced item than the actual price, jacking up the price, then adding a coupon to give the illusion of a deal. that's shady sales tactics and abusing the term "prices are subject to change". We have been a Rosattis family for the last few years and I realized that they're overpriced pizza was not that good anymore and their staff has the tendencey to be rude - So we held a Batavia pizza contest the last few weeks and I am happy to announce this is our winner! The Pros - They really make a good pizza here it is everything I like. Plentiful toppings (spread right to the edge), Not skimpy on the cheese, Good crust, Generous sauce and well cooked. If you buy Mon-Wed a 2 topping is just 12.99! I get a 3rd topping on mine and its 17.95 including tax and delivery. The Con - Delivery just took an hour on a Tuesday night. Pizza was warm to kind of hot upon arrival. I would probably pick up if possible but I cannot right now. I have had them arrive piping hot but the hour or so for delivery is the norm, They give you a time estimate that seems fairly accurate. This location is pick up only so have to eat at your home or business or party. All in all Highly recommended. read more

Their pizza is great, always has been. I am sad to see how thing's have changed. I don't know if the Batavia location is under new management, or what's going on, but I feel like quality of what little customer service you can expect from a simple pizza joint has totally fallen off the deep end. They have kids running the phones and registers, lazy completely unprofessional kids. I remember when I used to call at 9-9:30 sometimes later, they'd still make that delivery. Now, if you call after 9pm they say they close at 9:50pm and aren't taking delivery orders anymore???? Any simple request, for example "light on the sauce please" is ignored completely. This is by far the best pizza in the area. No question. I would venture to say this is the best pizza on the planet. Be warned, after you have Charlie Fox, no other pizza will ever be good enough! Great lunch at a great price. Granted, it was a slice of pepperoni & cheese w/a can of mug root beer, but it was fast, really cheesy and the sauce was just right. My advice to anyone who habituates the McDonald's across the service road is to ignore the lines & impatient competitors for the drive-thru, & walk in for pizza. My advice to Charlie Fox's? Best pizza in b-town and I've tried all of them a lot. They were 3 stars because the person that cut the pizza for years flunked out of geometry and you'd always get the weirdest collection of sizes and shapes from your pizza. They finally hired a brilliant cutter and I've got the evenly sized and shaped pizza pieces I always craved. Hadn't tried this place until yesterday, 1/21/19. Ordered 2 pizzas for pickup, got home opened the boxes and both were not the pizzas that I ordered. Called them back, they were already aware of the mistake they made and told me to bring them back as my order " had just come out of the oven". Got back in my car drove back in 10 degree weather, brought back pizzas which they immediately put back into their warming oven ( are they really going to give food that left their business to someone ) handed me the pizzas I ordered with no compensation for my wasted time and delayed dinner. Not customer service oriented in the least. Note that I called them back on their error , they did not reach out to me as they had my phone number. After eating their pizza I thought it was mediocre, not the best flavor and crust was very hard. I also hope that the pizza that they sold me hadn't already been mistakenly given to someone and brought back too. Don't think I will be back after a customer service experience like this. Many choices in area so they may want to take a look at their customer service practices to keep customers. read more

I have ordered from here many times in the past and typically they're ok. I have had some issues with rude people on the phone an with delivery times and I have always just chalked it up to the fact that I typically ordered at peak times and thought it as no big deal. This last time I ordered which was 6-16-16 around 7:30pm and I spoke to a girl who I believed was named Kathy. Kathy was very nice but seemed new which was why I asked her at the end of the call to repeat the order. She did quickly and correctly, I could tell she was preoccupied with something and figured she was probably running around busy and I was content with the fact that she had everything correct. My Pizza arrived at around 8:15pm (late again) but this time it had the wrong toppings. Now I am a reasonable man and since my girls were with grandma and it was just me and the wife I figured we could just call and get the right pizza with the toppings we never get since the kids don't like them. So I called and Kathy had answered the phone again. I told her what had happened and she apologized profusely and promised that she would make it better after a short hold in which she spoke with another women (I don't remember her name) she told me they couldn't remake another pizza because they were in the process of closing the store and she assured me she would make it right by crediting me the amount I paid for my pizza. Now I was a little upset at the fact they couldn't get us our pizza but we accepted it went out instead. Today I called to order a pizza for the kids and spoke with Joe at about 7:30 at no fault of Joe he informed me that the credit was not in the system and that he had to speak with the manager after a long hold he got back to me and explained that he called the manager Alfanzo and that if the credit was not in the computer they could not give it to me. I told him the time that I ordered and who I spoke with. he then informed me that their was nothing he could do and in different words that I was on my own. Now I'm not the type to write a review even if I feel I have been wronged in the past but this really ticked me off I was upset that after being so understanding they could just basicly tell me to kick rocks because of the incompetence of one of their employees. If this is how they treat their customers it's no wonder Pal Joey's always seems to be so busy with carry outs. read more

Decided to give this place a try after moving to Batavia. Not happy with my choice to try it. The crust was super soggy, not thin and "crispy" as their website states. I've been coming on and off for 10+ years now. It was great at first then questionable but now appears on the upswing again. I rely on mom and dads recommendations for good pizza since I moved out of state a few years ago. I've had this on several of my last visits and it's been delicious. Here's where you get a good pie! This location is the original location for delivery only. I miss the old location down on River St. where you could sit outside during the summer along with the large bar inside with some good bands playing. The pizza is my second favorite in the Tri-cities area and they have other location around too. Highly recommend ordering one from here if you haven't yet. read more

They apologized repeatedly for being late even though I didn't think that they were and they up-sized my pizza to an 18 inch for free! I'll be using them from now on! read more
