This is such a random location for such a nice cocktail bar. Formerly a sports bar (CJs, back when…read moreI lived on this block), the space has been transformed to feel like a high end cocktail bar. You'll forget that you're in Queens and feel like you're in Soho here, but without the pretentious attitudes. Service here was accommodating and friendly, and the prices were shockingly reasonable for the complexity of cocktails offered here. I had two of the Remy Style martini which were so fresh, delicious and fruity. The pineapple syrup in here definitely hit without it being too sweet. I saw that they had some small bites here but we were headed elsewhere for dinner. A solid spot to catch up with a friend or to impress a date, for sure. I really hope that this place sticks around!

I had the De Tijel Cocktail ($22) while the husband had the Old Fashioned ($20). The bartender described mine as an elevated and slightly sweeter Old Fashioned with that smokiness, which was quite similar. I appreciate the little details from the handwoven coaster to the patterned orange peel. Great spot for a fancy cocktail or date night as they also offer tables in the back and a food menu.

Drinkology NYC - Scent of a woman -- good but very sweet. Recommend asking to top it off with some prosecco to cut down the sweetness.

I attended the Portugal vs. Croatia watch party reservation event, which advertised a $100…read morereservation that included a $120 food and beverage credit and guaranteed table seating. When I arrived, I was not provided a reserved table and had to sit at the bar instead. That was disappointing since table seating was part of the advertised offer. The service during my visit was also inconsistent. My server (Vanessa) was often unresponsive when I tried to order additional drinks and food, and I had to follow up multiple times to get attention. At the end of the night, my bill showed approximately $88.50 in food and drinks plus an automatic 18% gratuity. I was told the gratuity was not included in the promotional credit. However, I was not given a full itemized receipt showing how my $120 credit was applied, only a partial receipt for the food and gratuity charges. Overall, the experience did not match what was advertised in terms of seating, clarity of billing, or service. I would recommend the venue improve transparency around promotions and ensure staff are properly attentive during events.

Its a great place for hookah if you're into that. I loved that it was a short wait to use the bathroom after all those drinks. I am lucky I didn't need to be dressed up to get in, I felt so under dressed. I remember this place being another spot but can't think of the name. Unfortunately I was a little too lit to get out there and dance. I was totally vibing because they played my bad bunny! The service was fantastic waited under a minute for our drinks. The drinks are super strong too!!

When we…read morearrived, the hostess guided us to one of their private rooms downstairs, which was spacious enough to comfortably fit around 20-25 people--perfect for a group celebration. We had our own dedicated server, which made everything feel really seamless. They kept our drinks flowing the entire time, and it was a huge plus not having to flag anyone down. For food, I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The coleslaw on it added great flavor (honestly, I just wish there was a bit more of it). It came with fries that were perfectly crispy--exactly how fries should be. Overall, I had a really enjoyable time. If I'm ever back in the neighborhood or if anyone asks me for a good brunch spot for groups, I'd definitely recommend this place.

Located in one the busiest areas in Astoria. There's always plenty of foot traffic. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was very good overall. It's a bonus that brunch is served everyday until 4pm. For our meal, we ordered the Hangover Skillet and the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes to share. Since there were only two of us, the portions were generous and left us satisfied. While the food and atmosphere were great. I wasn't impressed with the service. It wasn't terrible but it didn't match the dining experience. All in all, Oliver's still a solid.choice for brunch in Astoria.
