He handled the crowd with confidence, kept the line moving, trained his team, and managed everything with a level of maturity and leadership you do not see every day. He has the presence of a natural-born leader. I also want to recognize that Dylan was doing all of this while professionally handling a difficult team dynamic. On more than one occasion, I have seen another employee lose his temper and speak rudely to both customers and coworkers. Dylan's ability to stay composed and keep the experience positive says a lot about his character. Great ice cream, great family experience, and Dylan deserves serious recognition. I wasn't crazy about the ice cream here, but it was definitely fan favorite because it was poppin' on a Sunday night. I am unsure if it is a nostalgic place for people. So, they keep coming back, but I was indifferent about the ice cream. We also saw a variety of groups there, but a majority of the groups were families getting ice cream on a Sunday night. You definitely get your money's worth here, and they have deals each day of the week on certain items. I swear I ordered a small, and it felt more like a large. They have some table seats, but my friend and I ended up standing up the whole time since the place was packed. Charlie's Ice Cream has come to Westchester, near FIU! We came here after grabbing Hi Pot nearby and wanted some dessert. After a quick search, one of our friends found this new Charlie's location. We've been to the one in Hialeah and were excited to try this one out. On a Tuesday evening near close, it was PACKED with people. It was the end of the night so the staff kindly let all of us know the items they were out of, which was quite a lot. Shows how popular this spot it. I ended up getting an avalanche which is their version of a Blizzard or McFlurry-- soft serve mixed with toppings. I got a small which was still pretty big to where I couldn't finish it, even though I really wanted to. I got the chocolate and vanilla twist soft serve flavor mixed with some Reese's peanut butter cups toppings. It was delicious and the best post-meal dessert. The outside area was spacious with a lot of tables and hand sanitizing wipe containers attached to each table. Great for an ice cream place to clean up afterwards. This spot also has a drive-thru in case you want a quick pickup of your sweet treat. We stayed a bit past closed and the staff was definitely tired and kindly told us that they'll be closing and cleaning for the next morning so we had to leave. Overall, a great spot for ice cream. You can't beat the daily specials at Charlie's This place has quickly become a community meeting place. They even have a Meet The Police thingy here every once in a while. That's exactly what police need more of. More dipped cones and sundaes, less tasers and guns. My kids love coming here so that's a pretty good endorsement Pro tip, they have a drive thru But why Ice cream is something you don't drive with. Will this be a new staple?! Yes!! The service was excellent. They are super quick to take your order and it comes out with in seconds. Best time to go is definitely around 2:30pm, no lines and you can sit under the little umbrella tables to hide from the sun. They did such a great with the seating arrangements. The ice is amazing! We decided to have ice cream one day and passed by this location on a Saturday. Beware that it gets busy on the weekend. Anyways, we made the line at the drive through and once I placed my order I was informed that they ran out of chocolate and peanuts!!!!. However...this is the second time I've had an issue with the employee "Tylan" (unsure how to spell the name). The first time he was very rude when I was ordering. I explained to him this was my first time here so I wasn't sure plus I was being rushed. Then today he was rude once again by saying " I can't hear you speak up."
