Thank you for your kindness! This was the first time my dog has received professional grooming…read moreservices. She's a rescue, and very nervous and scared of almost everything, so I was really hesitant. From the moment I called to book an appointment, to when I picked her up, the staff was so kind. As expected, she didn't cooperate very well, but instead of the staff making me feel guilty or shaming my dog, they nicely recommended I talk to my vet about a calming medication to help with the next appointment. Thank you Amanda, and the front desk staff!

Absolutely Horrible Experience. Do Not Take Your Dog Here!…read more We took our puppy to Modern Pet Salon for the first time because we heard they use scissors instead of clippers, which we thought would be gentler. It turned out to be a terrible mistake. We specifically asked them multiple times not to cut too much of her hair, especially since she doesn't like it, but they insisted she had too many tangles and needed a full trim. Not only did they ignore our request, but they cut our puppy twice, both on her ears--areas where there was no tangled hair at all. They even called us during the appointment to say she was bleeding. Later, they claimed it was because she had an ear hematoma and that they had just trimmed it. That was a complete lie. We took her to the vet, who confirmed that the injury was a fresh cut from grooming and not from any medical condition. She did not have a hematoma. They hurt her, and then tried to cover it up. They also asked us to use an old sock to cover the wound, which felt incredibly unprofessional and careless. Since then, our puppy has been extremely uncomfortable. She keeps shaking her head, clearly bothered by her ears, and she has been very sad and withdrawn. This is the first and only time something like this has ever happened to her. I'm beyond disappointed. Not only should they have never charged us for this awful experience, but they should not be handling dogs, especially sensitive breeds like doodles, if they can't do so safely and honestly. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Please protect your pet and take them somewhere else.

I cannot, in good faith, recommend Camp Bow Wow in Fort Mill…read more We dropped off our very social 1-year-old rescue, Moose, for boarding on Friday, July 17 while we were on vacation. On Tuesday, July 21, I received a call around 1:30 p.m. informing me that Moose was favoring his leg and would be taken to the vet. I asked for pictures and provided the contact information for our veterinarian, but received a text stating that our vet was experiencing technical issues, so they took him to their veterinarian instead. We then received a call from their veterinarian, who suspected Moose had been bitten by a snake. Pictures and X-rays were sent to us, and the veterinarian recommended transferring him to an animal hospital for 24-hour observation because he was running a fever. Later that evening, after Moose had been transferred, the veterinarian called again to inform us that it was not a snake bite but an infected dog bite. The veterinarian indicated that the bite most likely occurred on Monday, July 20. Adding to our concern, while Moose was at the animal hospital on the evening of July 21, I received a text from Camp Bow Wow containing photos of him and the message: "Hi Mom, just wanted to let you know I am doing good and I love you and cannot wait to see you." Although I assume this was an automated message, given that they knew Moose was no longer at the facility and was receiving treatment at an animal hospital it was inappropriate and insensitive. I drove five hours home that night and picked Moose up from the animal hospital on Wednesday, July 22. Due to his condition, I informed Camp Bow Wow that he would not be returning for the remainder of his boarding stay and paid for his boarding from Friday through Monday. That same Wednesday, the owner told me they would review the video footage to determine what had happened. The owner called on Friday, July 24 and stated that, after reviewing the videos, nothing was observed other than normal play. When we returned from vacation, I returned her call on Sunday, July 25. I then left additional messages on July 27, July 29, and August 3, but have yet to receive a response. I also contacted Camp Bow Wow corporate on August 1 and again on August 3, with no response. In all of my messages, I have politely requested a return call to discuss the situation and have not asked for anything. I am disappointed by both the lack of response and the lack of care provided while Moose was under their supervision. I understand that dog bites can happen, but in this case the injury occurred while he was in their care, became infected, and resulted in $1,500 in veterinary expenses. I believed I had found a place where Moose would be safe and well cared for, but I now find myself looking elsewhere for daycare and boarding services.

I just BOARDED my two SENIOR Fur-babies for FIVE days, and they received EXCELLENT care. My Yogi is 14 and on prescription meds. He received his meds as directed! I've NEVER left my babies for this length of time and was quite apprehensive. The Manager, Rosemary, went out of her way to reassure me and promised to give them EXTRA attention! My babies even received a "go home" bath! They were happy, calm, and "tuckerd" out when my husband and I picked them up to go home! I HIGHLY recommend this facility and look forward to using them again and again. Thank you, Pet Paradise-Ballantyne! .

While in hold she amazingly appeared. I was told by Regional manager it was her fault for Friday since she had a meeting and didn't do roll call. Lame excuse to me. We could also never find her in any kennels. I asked about Thursday's Day camp and she said she would send me over time stamped video. It has been a week, several requests and no video. She was let out late on Saturday after we called again and when he got her home Sunday & gave her a bath, found what looks like a bloody bite wound behind her ear. I tried calling Monday and after several attempts, was told they weren't picking up because they were understaffed and told to send photos, which I did. I also requested day camp videos for everyday in writing & verbally and no response. Try finding contact information about the corporate office, they don't easily share it. Also check out BBB and see they are not members and have a "F" rating. After, a complaint filed on BBB a marketing person has sent me 2 emails, one asking for the location & one yesterday saying she would escalate it. I did find the HR manager's number Monday and she said she would have someone call me & no call. I think they may have been understaffed and thought they could get away with not providing day camp and still wonder how my dog got hurt.
