What I love most about this place is how historic it is! It has been around forever! It is located in a super sweet little historic village and I love that so much! It is beautiful and quaint on the inside and I love how they decorate it for all the different seasons! I have eaten here a few times and have gotten take out from here as well. The servers are always very nice. The food is okay. They have a good amount of options but otherwise it is pretty standard quality pub food. It is definitely a nice ambiance experience, like if a restaurant could give you a big warm hug.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The place was busy but not packed. We were sat at a high top near the bar and the waitress came over immediately to get our drink order. They have a great selection of craft beer, so we opted for two pints of craft beer. We also ordered medium wings as an appetizer and they were delicious - perfect amount of crisp, well sauced and good size too. For entrees, I ordered the turkey sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the roast beef. Both were really good - stuffed with meat and the bread well toasted. The fries were mediocre in my opinion. Overall, great spot. Will definitely return for dinner soon!

Southwestern Chicken with Onion Rings

The atmosphere was quiet @ first and progressively got so loud we couldn't carry on a conversation without yelling to the people at the table. The waitress was very friendly, although seemed like her first night by the way she took orders. The French onion soup was delicious though not hot enough (temperature wise). Haddock sandwich/w FF was just ok especially since it was cold when it got to the table. Southwest chicken sandwich/w onion rings was very tasty accept cold when it got to the table and the onion rings were so greasy! Not pictured were the stuffed mushrooms which were less than delicious. Over all the restaurant prices are very high for the less than delicious, cold, greasy food. The waitress was very friendly, patient and accommodating! Bar tender should pay more attention when N/A beer is requested especially since N/A request was for medical reasons! Then they charged us for their mistake. Probably won't return here any time soon! Better local restaurants that are better priced and put out much better food.

Stepping in from a wet cold night into this cozy warm atmosphere of the revolutionary era tavern- we were embraced by the hospitality and the beautiful festive Easter decor and a lively din that was friendly and comforting. It was easy to have a conversation and the ambience was just properly lighted and was fitted for families of eight or for date night cozy table for two. The Irish tradition is weaved beautifully throughout from flags of Dublin on the ceiling and shamrock lightbulbs and in the ladies room wallpaper with Celtic themes. There a proper Irish drafts including Guinness and Harp which won me over immediately. In addition there are craft beers and signature cocktails. Service was efficient and friendly and informative. There were specials and portions were plentiful. Everything was made fresh and served hot I enjoyed a homemade NE clam chowder where the potatoes were perfectly done and serve piping hot. There's a basket of fresh artisan bread although it's not housemaid it was perfect complement and not to be missed. Order Any of the salads with a warm bacon dressing as you rarely see this anymore and it was delicious. The shrimp scampi Florentine was plentiful and beautifully presented with a mixture of vegetables shrimp sun-dried tomatoes and pasta. They had honey Sriracha firecracker cauliflower which was very crisp and well battered and very tasty as an appetizer as well. My companion had the wings which was excellent it was crispy and the sauce was perfectly balanced served with celery and blue cheese. I would also recommend the blue crabcakes which were delightfully presented to good size cakes as an appetizer with lemon and lettuce and a remoulade underneath they were very tasty and thick and consistent.

I had Oyster Rockefeller with a prime rib and a dessert. Our waiter Michael was the best. The best valentine dinner ever.

Really nice atmosphere and well decorated, unfortunately the burger was a bit less than average and completely overpriced.

Stoney's Irish Grill - French onion soup

Stoney's Irish Grill

Stoney's is definitely a hidden gem in Schenectady. It doesn't look like much from the outside but…read morethe food is always really good. If you're a seafood lover, they do a great job with their seafood dishes. The table next to us ordered shepherds pie and it looked and smelled amazing, I could hear them raving about it. We started with the seafood stuffed mushrooms, and we're starving so forget to take a picture. The portion was generous and plenty for 2-3 people to share. I ordered the seafood boil which was a special and it was so flavorful, loaded with garlic and a side of drawn butter. My husband ordered the seafood fra diavolo, it was loaded with seafood and had a very good sauce.

Back in the day they would have pizza brought over from their pizza shop across the street bud the pie was good. Fast forward to our trip this year. It was our 19th year wedding anniversary and the wife and I were looking to try something new. The pictures from the food looked great so I figured this was worth a shot. Upon arrival we were greeted very warmly and the bartender and waitress were both warm, friendly, and it was all very natural like we just walked into there home. The place is decked out in craft Irish stuff but it was just at patty's the week before we had gone but I imagine that is a typical look there. We both had a dirty martini which was made very well and the waitress served them table side with the remainder left in the glass fir us to pour ourselves. Very nice touch! We had scallops wrapped in bacon and a French onion soup as an app. Both were good but the soup was a bit cold so we asked to have it warmed up. The staff handled it well they didn't make a huge deal and just got us a nice hot soup with no excuses or rambling on about this "this never happens" or "staffing issues". On to dinner. I had the steak Au Poivre with mashed and veg. All of it was done well and the portion was perfect. The wife had chicken piccata which had a great egg batter on it and a nice white wine butter sauce. We also ordered some Togo meals for the kids and they enjoyed them as well. They had boneless wings, a burger, and a chicken parm sub. I would definitely recommend this place for a medium priced dinner and drinks. Very friendly staff and the place was super clean and well put together. We will be going back!
