Saw this place on Yelp and thought it'd be a nice spot for a late lunch. We were seated right away. Drinks were quick and ordering was easy. I had seen someone previously talk about the best Reuben they have had so I had to try it. Reuben was good, but Ib would have preferred a little more sauce on it. Chips were nice.

Had the onion soup it was great, only to be topped by the best Ruben my wife and I have ever had!!!! We travel the country from coast to coast and this was a great surprise!!!! Epic!!!!

After another morning of fishing for lake trout on beautiful Lake George, three of us drove here from Hague. Worth the trip. Fairly crowded for a Tuesday lunch in early October, but we were able to snag the last three stools at the bar. Our buddy, Downrigger Dan is a regular. He is a legend of the lake. Barmaid Randy knew Dan's order (garlic parmesan wings) b4 he did.. My best friend, Locomotive Breath (formerly known as Zagbolt) had a grilled chicken sandwich. I had my usual WD CB w fries. Burgers here have a nice charbroiled flavor. Perfectly cooked. Locomotive Breath's sandwich looked and smelled really look. DD inhaled his wings. No crumbs, and nary a chicken bone was left. Ice cold Buds (and a lot of them). Great service, clean bathrooms, nice scenery. What more do you need? Solid 4 stars.

Smells awesome! Food looked so good and it was warm and inviting! Came during a Jeep event and the staff were very accommodating even when it was busy!

Came in and were overwhelmed by the loudness of the place. Not horrible but just people having a good time with there drink which makes everyone become hard of hearing. but, Honestly, if we were not so hungry and in Lake George where they have nearly no parking lots we probably would have left. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who was able to direct us to a high top so we could sit and look at a menu. As we sat I noticed people at the bar staring a little too much at us like and the message it conveyed was, why are you in my bar it was a little uncomfortable to say the least. We ordered our drinks but have to wait almost 20 minutes before they took our order. The place although loud is very cute and has a lot going on as far a visual stimulation. Sometimes less is more. I ended up ordering a hamburger because they told me that the Ruben was not a good size sandwich but just an average sandwich. Now I understand I am not asking for the world but this is an Irish Pub and the cannot put a Ruben together that is meant to satisfy a hungry appetite. Well i guess not. The waitress and bar tender were pretty much on the ball with the drinks but that is probably because it takes so long to get the food. We have now been here over an hour and still have not received our food but I am on my fourth fountain soda. I will update this and tell you how it goes and also give some pictures. Thank you for listening.

Turns out not very many places are open for lunch in April so we were happy to find this place. Someone left a review about flies - if you dine inside there are no flies. And we hung out a bit on the deck to test the fly situation and no flies so I think they took care of it. Our server was friendly. The one thing I a tad bit disappointed about is that we ordered 2 sides and wanted to cancel the fries and the server said we couldn't even though we asked less than 5 mins after ordering. The fries were burnt too so we ended up not eating them. The prices were reasonable so no issues The oriental Asian salad wasn't an oriental salad. Just Mesclun greens and chicken with a sweet honey sauce. My advice - if you're in a restaurant that's known for its beer / burgers / wraps get that

We were pleasantly surprised with both the high food quality and friendly, efficient service. Seated outside at a comfortable table we shared an excellent crab cake with our cocktails. The 'Lake George Punch', was very nice. Our server, Jack, was on his game & could give lessons on on unobtrusive high quality table service with a smile and some pleasant conversation. The pulled chicken tacos and crab stuffed haddock were both excellent! Flavor, texture, doneness all top notch. We were caught up in the details of sauces, rice, and wonderful harcort verts (can't just call them a side of green beans). Unexpected in a hotel restaurant in a touristy area. All in all, with the July evening breeze blowing off the lake, a slice of lake view, and the bustling fellow visitors putting on a show just for us.... It was a very nice experience.

However, food came out very slow. Nachos were good and we enjoyed most of our entrees. Someone else had the rib eye which we would absolutely not recommend. Upon further review, we all felt that the food was a bit salty, but worked in a pinch when we were hungry. Overall, just okay.

Can I give 10 stars?…read more If we lived in the area, we would be here monthly if not more often. Incredible food (served in full or half portions), craft cocktails (I had a tomato infused vodka martini), and a welcoming and friendly staff. When we arrived, the restaurant was just opening but not quite ready for guests, so one of the servers came out and chatted with us for a while. How many other places do this? The food was so good and creative and plated in a tempting way. It almost felt a shame to eat it. Accolades and kudos to the BEST restaurant in LG.

They start you off with some warm fresh bread and butter that you have to be careful to not fill up on. We shared the truffle fries (if you like thousand island dressing you might like the sauce but it does have a kick to it), sushi roll, and a few large beet salads for the table. Salads were good and plentiful and I liked the dressing. I appreciate that Bistro Le Roux offers smaller and larger portions options for each of their mains. As this is not the norm at most American restaurants, it was a a little unclear to us whether that meant they are sharing plates or not but because most other restaurants give you too much food, ordering a small seems like a reasonable strategy unless you are either A) very hungry or B) sharing with a few members of your party. It's not cheap but this could be a good way to try different dishes. I tried the lobster risotto which was super creamy and came with a reasonable (but not overly generous ) amount of fresh lobster. The corn risotto was very good although it seemed like they had this same thing for a number of their menu items. My wife had the avocado crab salad dish, which was ok (my daughter commented that it was needlessly "fancy"), but the crab on its own would have been better. She thought her risotto was a little undercooked. We also got the corn chowder which was ok but lacked any real flavor and didn't feel worth the stomach space. The tomato bisque, a long-time staple of their menu, was much better and we really enjoyed it. For dessert we had the lava cake which was very rich and good. My son had a plain vanilla scoop, which came with his kid's meal (steak and fries).
