I feel that I'm a pretty good critic, because I grew up eating Asian food, very spicy, and a lot of different types. I've had a lot of good and bad. We got Pad Thai & Thai Basil Chicken. Pad Thai was very good, a lot of flavor, not ketchupy or too sweet like many places, TG. Could've used more bean sprouts. And I don't think it had any tofu like authentic recipes. Flavor was still great! The Thai Basil Chicken also had really good flavor, not the best but really good, not disappointing. Could've had a lot more basil to taste more like thai basil, though. The prices here are MUCH better than other Thai and most Asian food places. Overall, very satisfied! read more

My daughter, Kaylah and I found this restaurant here after in 2018 after we had renewed my vehicle registration McCallum License in the same plaza. It was our first visit. We're not usually in this part of the city. The restaurant is decent and clean with pretty light fixtures. I ordered the Tomka with chicken with side of sticky rice, Pad Se Ew with beef, Thai tea and fried Calamari. For dessert, we ordered the mango with coconut ice cream. The restaurant was clean, and seated with multiple guests.It was very busy for a Sunday night. The waiter was trying her best because there were many orders to go and inside. I assumed because of this, the place would be . I got the red curry because it's my favorite. It was very delicious. The sauce was creamy and sweet with tender pieces of beef , bamboo shoots and peppers. It paired well with the white rice. I was excited to eat the spring rolls, but they were very soggy on the inside, not the best spring rolls I've ever had. The pad Thai was.. interesting. There were no peanuts on top, or lime served with it. The sauce that was put on top of the spring rolls, slipped into the pad Thai which made it hard to eat. I paid for my friend's meals and this is the only time I've done this and was super unsatisfied. We usually have a spot whenever I visit back home but this wasn't it. My wife and I are so disappointed. We were really hoping to find a great Thai restaurant in Puyallup. This was horrible. We ordered the Pad See Ew, Pad Tai, and the Crispy Garlic Chicken. They were all awful. Pad See Ew is a wide noodle dish. These noodles weren't much wider than the pad tai noodles, the sauce was flavorless, and the chicken was tough. The pad tai was mushy and the sauce was had an unpleasant tanginess to it. Crispy garlic chicken is supposed to be crispy. This was heavily breaded and soggy from all the sauce it was sitting in. If you're not going to make it and keep it crispy, call it something else. We had a few bites of each dish and threw it away. It was by far the worst Thai food we've had. I've never written a review before but this warranted one. The one positive is that the two young ladies behind the counter were super nice. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews.... But my meal had no flavor at all. The pad thai nor the Tom Kha soup. Took about 10 mins to be seated with many open tables, food took a hour and no one checked on me. They brought my side of rice when I was paying and leaving. They have a sign that says short staffed which everyone has that sign now. Totally fine but at least let the wait be worth it. $30 spent and it's either going in the trash or maybe my kids will want it. 2 star at least because I just feel bad. While I was waiting I just watched tons and tons of people pick up Togo orders so I'm guessing they were placing those first because I arrived at 6:15 and got my food at 7:35pm. Like I said I hate leaving bad reviews but food is to expensive to taste bad right now. Normally I'm not by myself and I have all my kids so if I would have paid like $80-$100 for us to eat here I would have been extremely mad. $30 is lesson learned and hopefully my kids will eat it when I get home. read more

Super unassuming Thai restaurant in the back of a strip mall. I'm not sure how long this place has been on my bookmarks, but when we decided to get lunch this was the closest spot from my bookmarks, which makes it the obvious choice. Well, that and Thai is also delicious. Super small with simple décor, you're going to want to get here early if you want a table. Service was super prompt and friendly. The menu was fairly standard Thai offerings, complete with choose your own adventure for spice level. I like to go with a 3 when I'm unfamiliar with a restaurant and that went well for me - good heat, but I'm not burning my face off. The Jungle curry with tofu was great. I kinda wish I could have gotten fried tofu, and I wouldn't have complained if there were a bit of coconut milk, but I'd happily eat it again! My parental unit got a salmon dish that he really liked. Such a great deal. This is the combo special which comes with rice (white/brown), pad Thai, salad, and two spring rolls or crab ragoon. The amount of food is plentiful and the taste is good! I ordered the Thai green curry with veggies only and with spicy. The spice level could have been higher, but that's okay. I know some people might complain if it's spicy. This is located off of meridian and near a pancake house and round table pizza. There is plenty of parking and they are practicing social distancing in the restaurant. This is a really solid Thai spot! I ordered the pad see ewe with chicken and the mango sticky rice. The pad see ewe had a great flavor and texture. I really enjoying the crunch of the broccoli. It was a really good contrast to the softness of the rice noodles. I ordered a spice level 2 but I didn't taste a kick at all- I wish my food had a bit of spiciness. I think my standards are a bit high on this because I have a place I love in Federal way. My usual test items are Phad Thai and Yellow Chicken Curry. I know boring but It's a standard that I feel all should do really well. The Phad Thai was good, flavorfull not over or undercooked and rich in flavors. The Yellow chicken Curry was spicer than I asked for, but the flavor was not as powerful as I would have hoped. I think it was lacking a bit n flavor but otherwise good. Went to eat there after day of hiking, we ordered the fresh spring rolls which was uneatable, my hubby eat them becasue we were hungry but the rice paper was super sticky so it stuck to my fingers, the rolls did not have any flavor and the peanut sauce was basically a watered down peanut butter. The two curries that we ordered were yummy, we had the panang curry that was made vegan for us and I asked for level 2 hotness and it was delicious w a great kick to it, my hubby ordered the yellow curry which was also very good and flavorful but as a combo special so it came with pad thai that he wanted to try and the pad thai had no flavor, just pasta w peanut sauce but you get good amount of food so not sure what is important for you. The two young women that worked there we super nice but all the food did not come out at the same time and I waited for my partner's combo special in order to start eating. If you live in Puyallup or near the area, this is the only Thai restaurant to go to. It tastes the most authentic and just tastes better hands down than other Thai spots. My go to is their crispy garlic chicken. My wife's is the chicken pad Thai, which I dare say is the best around in this area. Staff is always friendly as well. The seafood Tom Kha didn't really have that strong rich coconut flavor or any flavor at all, seemed kind of watered down and I think was overcharged - the base price plus $3.5 more for the seafood option with 3 rings of calamari, 5 scallops, 3 shrimps, and 3 mussels total. Other places usually has rice that comes with the soup but this place doesn't. Delicious Thai tea and Thai coffee. After reading so many positive reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the crispy garlic chicken with extra chicken and a side order of fresh (spring) rolls. I picked it up and by the time I got there, my order was ready. So far so good. Pros: The prices were decent. The girl who took my order was friendly and pleasant to speak to. It seemed like my order was made quickly and when I picked it up, the same girl was also super friendly in person. Visually, the food looked good! Cons: As soon as I got in my car I noticed the food did not smell very appetizing... in comparison -- I get crispy garlic chicken from my fav spot and I can literally feel my mouth watering on the way home to eat it because it always smells FANTASTIC. With all that garlic and basil and spice, I expected a similar mouth watering aroma but it was not that. It just smelled ... off. The fresh rolls were average, all the normal ingredients were present -- but the peanut sauce was super loose and runny. The plum sauce it also came with was actually tasty and really saved the day because without it, I wouldn't have continued eating the rolls. Now for the crispy garlic chicken ... honestly, I'm really disappointed. Despite having all these toppings It tasted SO bland. The breading or whatever sauce they coated the chicken in was terrible in flavor. I honestly could not even finish half of it. The rice also did not taste fresh. It felt like it had been Cooked days ago and reheated for my meal. So ... basically $15 wasted. It's was a real shame that the best thing I tasted here was a sauce that came on the side of an appetizer. I haven't tried many Thai places in this state since I've moved from CA but I really love this one compared to 2-3 others. Never tried Massaman curry before this place so Idk if it's comparable or better than other good Thai restaurants, but this one here is ADDICTING! I literally get Massaman curry cravings from this place. I've gotten the same curry at least 3-4 times now and it's always delicious! My preferred heat level is mild-medium which is perfect IMO. Their lunch combo is a great deal too, I always have leftovers of the Pad Thai bc frankly I overdo it and eat most/all of the curry. I've also tried their Pad See Ew which is really good as well. I alternate between the two dishes. Hell, sometimes I'll get both dishes so I can have a yummy lunch & dinner. Pad See Ew became a favorite of mine during a brief trip to Thailand and this one from Charm Thai is pretty damn good. Oh yeah, and the fried rolls (vegetarian) when hot & fresh are very addicting as well but I just wish they weren't so tiny and had a bit more filling. The Their service is quick, accurate and takeout is always packaged perfectly. They also vent your takeout box if you order a fried appetizer dish so it doesn't get soggy which is what all places should do! I've never gone here for in-room dining but the place always looks clean to me. Really happy to support local businesses during these COVID times. read more

I find almost of the dishes here are very good, and I especially like the fact that they'll "tweak" a dish to my preference (i.e. I like using the Thai heat scale rather than the American scale). While the restaurant is not huge, it is always clean and finding a place to park is never a problem. read more
