This is one of my favorite Indian places after having tried other places in Kent, Auburn and Federal Way areas. We ordered a samosas, sag paneer, butter lamb 7*, tandoori chicken with a side of garlic naan. All dishes were exceptional and very flavorful. They also did not skimp out on protein as I've noticed other places have. The only complaint we have is we were two people seated at a small table and we ordered a lot so our table was pretty crowded. First time trying here, we ordered ahead for take-out. The food was warm and staff was kind when we picked up. When we got home, the food was incredible. From the butter chicken, to a chicken & rice dish, to some sort of samosa thing and even eggplant. It was absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately this place has really gone downhill compared to 3 years ago when I first started going. The portions have gotten smaller while the prices have gone up, the lamb is very tough and fatty and no longer tender, and the spice level is not what it used to be. I used to order a spice level 5 and barely be able to eat it, now I order a 7 and almost asked for hot sauce on the side because it tasted like a 1. I love the chicken 65 but it is now less than half of what I used to receive. The server was nice but walked away mid order to answer the phone, it just felt off. The restaurant is clean. Ambiance Came around dinner time twice and had no problems finding seating for a small party. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, and I noticed a lot of people were ordering takeout online while we were there. Food Portion sizes were fair for the price, and they offer many vegetarian and vegan options. Highly recommend getting the garlic naan with any dish. Foods tried: Garlic naan - Hot and fresh, slightly crispy with a nice savory flavor. Samosa appetizers - Comes with two, but they are pretty large and very filling. Chicken tikka masala - Served in a deceptively large portion and very savory. Lamb biryani - Kind of like their version of fried rice, served with a mild yogurt sauce on the side. Service Servers were friendly. The only downside was that the food took a little while to come out, but the wait was worth it. Overall I've been here twice already and will definitely be back again. Popped in for lunch on Saturday. We were seated quickly. The service was good. The chicken tikka masala I ordered was tasty. The only issue I'd take with it is the spice level. I ordered a 7/10 heat and it wasn't very spicy. Granted, my preferred spice level is somewhere around ghost pepper. The waitress seemed concerned when I ordered the 7. I wish they had brown rice or some other alternative. The iced tea was very tasty, probably the highlight of this visit. The garlic Naan was quite good. read more

When we visited the Puyallup area, this highly rated Indian restaurant was our choice for lunch.Part of a medium size strip mall. We found a parking right in front of the restaurant too. The vibes when we walked in was perfect. Interiors gave the authentic Indian aura. Welcomed by the staff with a big smile and gave us a convenient seat. They gave was ample time to go over the menu before ordering. Variety of offerings to pick from. We ordered the Chicken Pakora for appetizer. Their Biryanis looked a great option - ordered chicken, lamb and shrimp. Also, Karahi vegetables and naans. They gave us options to customize the spice level which is normally not a great sign based on my past experiences. I was very skeptical about the food since that moment. Food arrived fast considering the number of items and the rush at this place. Loved the Chicken Pakora. Perfectly fried and delicious with the sauces served on the side. The Karahi vegetable was great with the Naan. I made a spice level of 4 for this - should have kept at 3. The Biryanis were fabulous. They all do have a similar look when served, but the flavors were different which was a delightful thing. And the portions were quite good. We definitely overestimated it. Bon appétit! The food was delicious. If you are into spice, definitely go higher than a 3- it was categorized as "mild", but really was not spicy at all. Wow what a little gem. I do love Indian food and this place really was a nice surprise. The staff was very friendly. The food was awesome I usually use get vindaloo and theirs has a lot of depths of layers in flavor not just a spicy red curry like some places, we had the goat and it was so tender. Dal makhani is another favorite of mine there's was very tasty even with the choice of asking for a 10 heat. The waitress tried to warn me from doing that but I do like super spicy dishes that taste good and they didn't fail there. Our other dishes were ordered at the 5-7 heat level and they were very good for us. They do have a few beers that I have not seen before I had a saffron lager that was interesting. I'm a middle eastern food fan. The flavors are so different from others. I typically go to Karma for my fill, here in Puyallup, that is, until my hubby said Let's try Tandoori Grill. I kinda felt like I was cheating on my go-to, Karma. Still love Karma but Maaaaaaaan, this place though!! So location is by Sally's area on Meridian. Decent parking and pretty nice and spacious seating inside. Staff are super nice and hospitable. Okay, let's reminisce on the food. The pakoras were all good and well seasoned. The chicken Korma is my FAVORITE. It used to be Makhani but lawd have mercy, korma was Delicioso!! The biriyani was so good. Not too wet, not to dry, larger chunks of meat. That sauce with it. Mmmmm!! Yessir. The naan with the korma sauce. Then of course the mango lassi. I'm a fan!! We ended up packing up lots of leftovers and KILLIN it the next day. Best leftovers. Funny thing is, we went right back the next day to order more. Yeah, that good FOR REAL. We've gone back a few more times and left very happy with "puppy bellies". lol. You know that tight belly!! My friend and I checked Yelp reviews and decided to try this place out for lunch. I don't live or work around here so I haven't tried any other local Indian restaurants. I do have my favorite spots on the Eastside (Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, Redmond) and Seattle and this place was decent compared to my usual Indian restaurants that I frequent. Parking was fine, no issues as this restaurant is located in a strip mall. We ordered vegetable pakoras, samosas, butter chicken and garlic naan. The pakoras were great but the samosas seemed to lack flavor. They were crispy on the outside but the inside was very mushy. There was a spicy kick to them but spice doesn't make up for lack of flavor. The butter chicken and naan were good and overall, we had a great lunch here. Service was good but the restaurant also wasn't too busy. If I'm in the area and craving Indian food, I would definitely consider eating here again. read more

There were only two options for Indian food in this area of Puyallup (South Hill) and both were highly ranked on Google but Tandoori Grill eked out the other by just a few decimals. So we stopped by for dinner on this weeknight to check out the Indian food scene here. Arriving one hour before close, the space was just about 1/3 full. It is a very clean and nicely decorated space, with every table perfectly set. The employees and owners really put a lot of attention to detail which is further emphasized by their service which I'll get in to shortly. We were immediately shown to a table, brought menus and water. They had quite a selection of items, from vegan to lamb and goat, from appetizers to dessert. Though it's not on the menu, looking at the bar/cashier area it looks like they serve wine and beer, including Taj Mahal! We ordered garlic naan naan, rice, aloo (potato) paratha, lamb biryani, chicken Tikka masala, and karahi vegetables. Food came out in a timely manner with the waitress/hostess stopping by often to check on us with water. Everything was very good. Some Indian restaurants can be very heavy due to an overload of oil and cream. Though the Tikka masala was creamy, it didn't feel cloying or heavy. It was actually quite fresh and the chicken cubes inside were tender and moist. The veggie karahi was a nice medley of textures and in a sauce that was just the right saltiness and seasonings for me. The lamb biryani was floral with the scent of green cardamom counterbalanced by the tender earthy (but not gamey!) lamb chunks. We enjoyed every part of this meal, from the environment, to the service, to the food. This is the best Indian restaurant we've had in the area (but admittedly we have to try the other one down the street) so far! read more

Really love this place, I recently moved and I do a 30-40 minute drive for this food and it's 100% worth it.

Sadly this place has gone down hill. The first three times I ate here things were great, expectations exceeded. The Chicken 65 and Garlic Naan were exceptional and the waitstaff was attentive. Unfortunately the last two visits were the quite the opposite. Almost didn't go back but decided to give them another chance last night. This was a regrettable decision as food and service were utterly abysmal. The waitstaff was not real friendly and lacked basic courtesy like such as saying "you're welcome". They were completely inattentive after the food was delivered. Had to ask two different servers for a water refill. The Chicken 65 was the salt in the would. The flavor was not what I remember it was mediocre at best. Also the portion size of Chicken 65 has been reduced by 50% since the last time I ordered. On a positive note the Garlic Chili Naan was quite tasty. Unfortunately I had already finished the micro plate of chicken 65 and my glass of water by the time it arrived at my table. Never again.
