Skilled with years of experience, the owner of this store is not only passionate about her career, (not job) but also considerate of the personality and style of her customers. This little studio may not look like much, but there is no need to market true talent, as true talent cannot be hidden.
Once you walk in, your nose is filled with the pleasant scent of the different expensive hair products that have merged over time from frequent use. My usually long hair was cropped into sleek and sexy layers that not only looked good, but also felt as soft as the down of freaking swans. No matter which way I run my fingers through it, it looks as if I had spent hours, even if I just rolled out of bed. And yes, all I asked was for layers and a 'trim'. When asking for something that simple, you will be unbelievably surprised not only by her level of concentration, as if treating your hair like art- but how much time she spends getting to know your head shape so it turns out fabulous.
This is what happened when I walked in. She asked when was the last time I washed my hair, and after telling her last night, I headed with her to the washing station. Then she was very frank about telling me that my hair was too dry, and that I needed to take care of it better. That was a very good first impression, because I like it when people are being truthful with me. Then she got to work. I told her I just wanted layers and a trim, and gave her the approximate length I wanted cut off. There was confusion, her English wasn't perfect, but basically if you're worried just tell her to "just make it look good", you just sealed the deal. She started snipping, and didn't stop. I wondered more than once if she was cutting it too short, but after she was done and blow dried it, it was EXACTLY what I was looking for, and it exceeded my expectations by the long shot. She was very sweet, and took my ideas and turned it into a hard core masterpiece.
So check out my little piece of hair heaven! This place is sooo experienced and knows exactly how they're doing. Unlike Zano's, where you look good once you walk out of the shop, Charme's makes it so that you wake up in the morning and look at your hair to only find it just as beautiful, as if you've already spent hours on it. I think about Amber Waves and their junior stylists, and just know that if I went there to get a trim and layers, they would've taken 20 minutes.
