Let's just say that i have never had my nails done better anywhere else!!! The chairs are so comfortable that you can fall asleep while getting your nails done. What can I say about this place? I used to go to their location in Villa Park but followed Chelsea over to this location. Her work on my manicures is always top notch, and not too mention she is always happy and friendly. Bubbly. Personable. The pedicures are also top notch, and you truly get what you pay for there with the pedicures. Chelsea is my manicurist, but I don't have a set person for my pedicure. I've tried Glo 3 times, and right away, the nails looks great, but all three times I've gone here, my gel has chipped within a week, then because of the chip, it continues to peel off very easily. It's upsetting too, because you pay extra for gel, hoping it will last long. First time was a manicure, second and third time were pedicures. It sucks cause the pedicures are AMAZING. They feel great, include great stuff, and I love them, but ALL three times, my gel has chipped and peeled off so easily :( I gave it three times, hoping maybe it was my error or just a random bad time, but it kept happening I'm not sure why this happens. I would love to keep going here, but that's my reason for stopping :/ Other then that, the service and everything is good, just am not happy with the longevity and quality of the gel polish. read more

Bummer experience as I had high hopes for this place. They barely touched my nails when they were cleaning them up. I don't even think I felt the cuticle stick. The foot massage was so light, I asked them to stop early. It felt icky. The lady doing my pedicure was sick and coughing the whole time. And when they polished my nails, they started so far up from my cuticles. They will grow out in a week and ill need another manicure. To top it off, it was $125! No thanks read more

Love GLO Nail Bar! This is definitely a place to get pampered and relax a bit. Opted for a manicure/pedicure today. This place is very lush and beautiful inside. You feel like quite the fancy pants while getting your service without being toooo boujee! They start by offering you a complimentary beverage--including alcohol if you so should choose. I love the pedicure has soooooo many options. From different scents and essentials oils, treatments, etc. Opted for the GLO men's pedicure which included a mint soak, everything else a pedicure would include and a peppermint scrub and hot stone massage. My feet felt so soft and awesome after. We upgraded to the honey almond manicure. I have a bad habit of sometimes picking my nails, so I keep them pretty short. But the manicurist sharped them so nicely and the scrub was super nice and my hands are so soft. This place is a tiny bit more, but the service and quality are well worth it. read more

This Salon has been my 'go-to' over the past few years. I've tried a few different nail techs, and most of them do a pretty decent job (Gel mani and Pedi). You do have to schedule about a week out, but that's pretty standard at most salons. They have a decent selection of colors to chose from and most of the time offer you a beverage. I knocked off one star because the Pedicure chairs are pretty uncomfortable. They're stiff, prefabricated and no way to adjust the back rests. Also, i wish the nail techs would keep the conversations between themselves to a minimum when working on clients - it's not a relaxing environment. read more

I am a person with long acrylic nails who is willing to pay a premium for an exquisite, flashy design. This is absolutely not the place to do so. This location is suitable for mani's/ pedi's with gel. The price I paid for a mediocre design is the same price I would have paid at my customary location for a design with more benefits and more wow factor. I visited this establishment because a trusted associate recommended it. I would say that the staff is pleasant and the accommodation is adequate, but the prices and design quality are mismatched. The price appears to reflect the real estate and the décor rather than the quality of the nail art. I don't mind if my nails are done in a clean garage as long as the design is appropriate for the money. This is not the place to go if you have long nails with a trendy design. honey! I use to go to Glo nail bar years ago and recently started getting my nails done here again. The acrylic I was getting done before made my nails thin. So I tried powder dip and that was even worse. My natural nails were chipping so bad! All of them ! 2 of my nails were so bad that I had half a nail left. ( I would share a photo but I don't want to gross you out ) So I went to Glo and they introduced me to Gel X. Wow what a game changer! This is a slightly more expensive spa-like nail spot but my experience has been pretty consistently great so it feels worth it. I'm not someone with fancy acrylic of gel nails or nail art so you wouldn't think this place would be for me. The thing is I absolutely love all of the pedicure options. Are you looking for a certain vibe, like relaxing? then I would recommend the chamomile pedicure as it is perfect and has a little bit of extra massage time. There are so many others. It's become hard to choose, but you really have an opportunity to figure out what you're going for whether it's callus removal or scrub or paraffin. They also frequently have seasonal specials, which are always worth checking out. It feels clean and nice while you're there. I'm not the best at planning ahead so occasionally because it's popular I have trouble getting a time on a day that I want, but that's my fault. For me, I can pop into Bristol Farm after on my walk home and grab some groceries. if you're inclined, you can also hop in and grab some sprinkles cupcakes or visit any of the stores and restaurants in this plaza. the service was nice, the nail salon itself is very clean. however if you are getting acrylics be warned the price is not as listed online. it is highly unusual however gel does not come automatically with an acrylic set, it is an extra $20. I decided I was already too far into my nail appointment to not get the gel. the gel itself is cheep and highly disappointing, after only having my nails for 11 days the gel already had chipped off and peeled, now after having my nails for 17 days the top coat is completely missing off some nails. I would not recommend going to this salon if you plan on receiving a gel service. read more

Most places do an "ok" job, but cindy and monica from glo nail bar surpasses my expectations. I came in for a gel mani and pedi to get ready for my sister's wedding and I am so thrilled that I came here. My Mani- I've expressed my concerns to cindy regarding how unhappy I've been from other nail salons due to the fact that they never clean my cuticles well and my nails are usually missing polish from the sides. Cindy listened and addressed all of my concerns. She was personable, thorough and so meticulous with her work. She didnt rushed the job like most places I've been to and my nails looked absolutely amazing! Probably the best gel manicure I've had in a very long time. I can't stop looking them :) The results speaks for itself. My pedi- monica is a sweetie and super gentle with my feet. So gentle that I almost forgot I was getting a pedicure! I came by appointment and recommendation of my girl friend who happens to work at this location and has been trying to get me to go for quite some time now. Book her, Priscilla V if you are in the area she will bless you! She did not do my nails this time however, she booked me with Chelsea who did a wonderful job on my first Gel X extensions. They lasted me almost four weeks even with me being someone who washes their hair quite often. And being someone who despises the occasional loss of a nail because of it - as a press-on girly. She was quick, professional and experienced in her craft clearly, which I appreciate. They even offer a separate lounge-like area to allow a little privacy for just you or you and your girls! Based on my experience, I would definitely return but for a pedicure next as that is their signature service and I can totally see why.
