    New englsnd clam chowder
    Donna T.

This has always been a fav of mine and it did not disappoint. The inside is so old world with amazing ambiance. I sat at the bar and they let me charge my phone. The bartenders were busy but still managed to take care of me. The new england clam chowder reminded me no one does it better than new england. Beware the chives on top if you are not a fan. My entree was the lobster and shrimp carbonara. Not heavy and the added cheese on top gave it extra Zaz. Can't wait for my next trip to boston.

We ate here over the weekend to celebrate my dad's graduation from Harvard. We were all in town from Wisconsin, and while we have been to other Chart House locations, this was our first visit to the Boston location. The building is absolutely gorgeous - formerly the John Hancock Counting House, I loved that it was steeped in rich New England history. The staff was very kind, but my dad walks very poorly, and we were disappointed that they weren't able to accommodate our request to be on the first floor instead of the third. Considering there is no elevator, and there are a lot of stairs, it made it hard on my dad. That alone is the reason I am giving this restaurant 3 stars. The food was delicious, and I was thrilled that there were so many seafood options, given that we were right on the wharf. The New England Clam Chowder was by far the best I have ever tasted. Creamy with succulent clams and potatoes, I wished I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup! For my entree, I chose the shrimp linguine, and it was very good. I enjoyed the pesto in the dish, as well as the crispy prosciutto. For dessert, I opted for the lava cake - a staple in our family, we always get it when we go to a Chart House location.

HERB CRUSTED + SLOW ROASTED PRIME RIB (Chart House - 10oz)
    Rostam Z.

I would've never thought I'd get one of the best prime ribs at this spot, but I did! I'll admit, I haven't tried that many different prime ribs, but Chart House nailed it tonight. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and unbelievably delicious! The 3 potato garlic mash it's served with was awesome too. I also got the lobster bisque to start and that was also the best I've had thus far. The ambiance is very fitting and gives a cozy vibe. Our server was also amazing and went above and beyond for us. Truly a great dining experience. Highly recommend!!

First time trying this place. Very good service. Decor impressive. Table in very nice setting. Worked well for friends visiting. Large party. Food prepared well. Friends ordered prime rib, crab, oysters and fish. Bread comes out nice and hot. Grilled vegetables very good.

I really enjoyed my meal here, the coconut crispy shrimp was delicious, the Caesar salad was a bit strong on the anchovy part but it was not bad. The cheesecake was delicious. I personally enjoyed the texture of the shrimp and the sweet chili oil the best.

Soon as he found out we came all the way from Hawaii, he made us feel right at home. Real good energy, super welcoming, and took care of us the whole night. The adults started with a couple Manhattans, and da buggahs had mana . Exactly how a Manhattan supposed to be. For appetizers, we went with the full Abe's Seafood Tower and the Caesar salad. I highly recommend both. My daughter and son went all in, and the homemade croutons made that Caesar salad pop. We liked the oysters so much, we ended up ordering another dozen. Sahin told us the Duxbury oysters (I think that's the ones we had) are local to the Boston region and are farmed in the upper water column above the oyster bed, which keeps them in the current and gives them that clean, briny taste. Mean, supah ono! For the main, we shared the 22 oz bone in ribeye and lobster tail. Steak was cooked proper, juicy, flavorful, just how it should be. Sahin even offered to have the steak sliced up for us, which was a nice touch. For sides, we had the au gratin potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Both were super tasty, and the Brussels sprouts had that perfect char. Ended the meal with da cookie dessert which had homemade whipped cream. Overall, real good experience. Great food, great drinks, and service that made us feel comfortable from the jump. If you staying in Boston and like seafood and steak, this spot is worth checking out. Just note, it's a typical Boston setting, everybody talk loud haha. Mahalo plenty, Sahin. It was a pleasure. I give dis place, 2 shakas and an auriiite!

Given the choice, however, I now prefer the modern, polished, almost clubby feel of this location in the Seaport. The restaurant isn't particularly large, but it's a beautifully designed space. For larger groups, they have a few round tables that work especially well, including one that perfectly accommodated our party of seven. You can always count on a great dining experience at any of Chef Jamie Mammano's restaurants. His commitment to the highest quality chow, attentive service, fine wines, and an elegant atmosphere has made him one of Boston's most respected restaurateurs. Our meal here was spectacular. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, and it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Standout starters included the Wagyu Beef Dumplings, Tuna Tartare, and the Dry-Aged Bolognese Lumache. For entrées, we shared several different cuts of steak, all expertly prepared and presented sliced for the table. The Beef Wellington is also fantastic here. The sides are uniformly excellent, but don't miss the Char-Roasted Heirloom Carrots with Honey and the Yukon Gold Potatoes. Desserts are equally impressive. Highly recommend both the Milk & Cookies and the Bananas Foster. I'd like to especially thank our waitress, who provided exceptional service and helped make the evening truly special. We were celebrating my son's graduation, and her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail enhanced what was already a memorable occasion. I also appreciated the excellent service from their new sommelier. Mooo continues to set the standard for the modern Boston steakhouse experience. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The reservation process was easy and a group of 5 was easily accommodated on the day and time requested. We arrived together after a short walk from the office. Bonus points to Moooo for not only having complimentary coat check, but also safe bag storage knowing much of their clientele on a weeknight is in transit from the office to home. Please people, don't forget to tip the coat check girls, it is only the right thing to do. Seated at our table the restaurant was initially fairly empty, but filled up nicely while we are already enjoying cocktails, wine, and appetizers. The long bar followed by tables of various sizes filled the restaurant, but it never was too loud and there was plenty of space between tables that you did not feel like you were sitting on top of each other or listening to their conversation more then the person across from your own table. Like most fine dining experiences, the complimentary rolls were served warm and lathered in melted butter. Sinful!. We ordered several appetizers for the table to share including tuna tartare which was very tasty and recommended. I also recommend the Japanese wagyu beef dumplings which were both delicate and savory. Lastly, the calamari was crispy and hot with the right amount of heat from the lemon and herb aioli. To accompany the entrees we ordered the broccolini, Yukon gold potatoes and the highly recommended tater tots. The only issue we had was with the tots which we collectively thought were both slightly over cooked and tasted "different". Said another way, I have never had a tater tot that didn't leave me wanting to eat them one after another until they were all gone, but this one was more than enough and more than 3/4 of the serving was left for the bus-person. Three of us ordered the 8oz Omaha filet which were cooked to perfection and delicious. Why is there not a 12 oz offering like most steak houses? Literally mine looked like it was 4 oz on the large, stark white plate when served. Thankfully being cooked to a perfect medium rare and accompanies by a bordelaise sauce which is also a rarity to find offered, was a treat. The prime New York sirloin and prime ribeye were equally cooked perfectly and delicious. We passed on dessert or after dinner drinks, but certainly enjoyed our visit. I have eaten at the Beacon Hill location previously, but this was my first experience in the seaport, but it won't be my last.

No complaints there. The trouble starts the moment you venture beyond the cut of beef. On both steak visits, the sides disappointed. The Yukon gold potatoes tasted off, hard to put a finger on exactly why, but something wasn't right. The tater tots were fine, though really only worth ordering for the truffle aioli that came with them; the tots themselves were forgettable. Neither side felt like it belonged on a steakhouse menu at this price point. I also came in once hoping a Bolognese would impress and it didn't. The pasta was cooked so al dente it crossed the line into underdone, and the sauce had the consistency of a broth rather than the rich, clinging ragu you'd hope for. It felt like a dish from a completely different kitchen. The steaks here are legitimately good, and if that's all you're after, you'll leave happy. The atmosphere is comfortable and classy, and I almost felt like smoking a cigar or something while I was in the booth haha Our server didn't rush us and we had plenty of time to choose from the wine selection. The basket of bread was terrific, all kinds in there which I appreciate. I had a piece that tasted like it had cheesy onion in there, which I haven't had before. I got a cabernet to start. My appetizer was a lovely, refreshing salad, mixed greens with kale, feta cheese, dried cherries, toasted almonds, orzo and walnut mustard vinaigrette. There were wonderful textures to enjoy and it's probably enough for two people. I also had the wonderful German Riesling white wine they had. I had to go all out for the entree, choosing the seared hand-carved tenderloin (two 4 oz. pieces) with two butter poached lobster tails! I haven't had lobster surf 'n turf in many years so it was fun to have again. The dinner was wonderful, with hearty medium rare steaks very juicy and bursting with flavor. The lobster tails were sublime, and well garnished. We also got garlic spinach and mashed potatoes to share which were perfect sides.
