Ultimately I lucked out as an individual. I was able to snag a bar top seat pretty quickly and had I known then I was sitting down to what was going to be one of the best meals of my life, I would have been visibly more excited. Not only was the service absolutely top notch, the people and the regulars there were extremely friendly and outgoing. The vibe was perfect, a strange mix of a place that felt like it had been there for 200 years yet was somehow high energy and vibey. From a killer cocktail recommendation to one of the best steaks I've had in my life and coming from Oklahoma City, where I work a mile away from the stockyards and can get great quality fresh beef six ways from Sunday, that's saying a lot. I usually despise most things truffle but if I was forced to eat that truffle mac and cheese every day for the rest of my life I would consider it a life well lived. While I would have never ordered it on my own, a customer next to me recommended the porn star cocktail and I have to say it was also one of the most delicious things I've ever had in my life. Ten out of ten, top notch experience. Would recommend. Will be back every time I'm in Vegas, no questions asked.

Bring your own thermometer (BYOT)! I would give this restaurant "0" stars if I could for a number of reasons but the principal reasons were that the prime rib was served severely undercooked (served essentially raw instead of medium well), the beer was served warm instead of chilled, and the lack of response from the restaurant as I tried to follow-up with them regarding the above problems. The restaurant acknowledged the above "kitchen mistakes" on the bill, unfortunately an elderly member of our party ate some of the prime rib before we could stop him and he ended up sick in his hotel room with food poisoning for the next 1-2 days. Notwithstanding the potential health and safety concerns, this experience had a significant adverse impact on his ability to enjoy the next few days of his long-awaited vacation to Las Vegas. Fortunately, we were able to avoid the ER although it was touch and go especially for the first night after consuming some of the undercooked meat. While the above condition was unacceptable - as the meat appeared undercooked and, in my opinion, should not have been served, the follow-up reaction from the staff was equally appalling and unprofessional. When we initially sent the meat back, I provided an observation to a female staff member who I believed was a member of the on-shift management team to the effect that the meat was essentially raw and her reply was a quip that, "some people like it that way!" This response illustrated a fundamental lack of understanding of basic food safety principles and in my view highlighted the restaurant's inadequate knowledge, training and procedures in this area. The second problem was that we informed the restaurant about the above problem the very next day following the dinner and after some back and forth were instructed and provided a number to contact the risk management department to file a complaint. I contacted the risk management department and left my phone number and purpose for the call but never received any type of follow-up or return call. I attempted two additional calls and both times the call was immediately disconnected. I am not clear the reason for this but can perhaps surmise that perhaps the Risk Management organization blocked the number rather than trying to understand and respond to a complaint. As I said at the beginning there were other problems, including the service, but I don't want to distract from the main concern regarding the apparent lack of training in basic food safety principles and the lack of a response to address or discuss my concerns. Based on our experience, my suggestion to fellow diners would be to avoid this restaurant, but if you do dine there then please exercise due caution and care. Don't repeat our mistake of assuming that a meal is necessarily safe just because it was sent out from their kitchen. read more

The kimchee calamari was amazingly delicious and the sauce was epic!! The beautiful aquarium provided a nice view and we enjoyed watching the many different types of tropical fish swim around. There were also some huge lobsters and a stingray. However, sadly, that was the best part of our dinner. The server was nice but very busy so she forgot a couple things until we reminded her was fine. We had lobster bisque and it had some sort of powdered pepper in it that definitely had an unpleasant kick to it. The chopped salad was a bit dry (just skimpy on the dressing). The prime rib was dry and tough. I didn't even get a steak knife to cut it and yes, I needed a steak knife. The shrimp with a butter sauce was super salty, it was like they used salted butter then also salted the shrimp. I don't like to complain in the restaurant and I never return food for fear of the new dish being compromised but I did let the server know. Then we ordered the crème brûlée sampler to go and nobody told us they did not come in a bowl or that it would come in 1 (unseparated) to-go box so our 3 crème brûlées became one. Like why would they not tell us that??? Taking a bite of 1 was like eating all 3... it completely ruined the flavor profiles. Honestly, it was at the end of the night because they close at 10 so I don't think they really cared. It sucks because it was definitely not cheap and it was my husband's birthday dinner. My family and I were staying at the GN this past weekend and Friday night decided to stay in the area and eat dinner at the Chart House for my sister's birthday. We had very high expectations already for Chart House, but our experience well exceeded them. Starting with the décor, a large fish tank sits in the middle of the restaurant, filled with hundreds of exotic fish. The tank alone is an experience in itself. The staff at Chart House was phenomenal. We had called ahead and made a reservation and mentioned that it was my sister's birthday and when we arrived, we were given menus that had been personalized with "Happy Birthday" and her name at the top of each one. We started with a round of cocktails, I had the Moscato sangria which was very delicious. For my main course I had the cedar wrapped salmon - the best salmon I had ever had in my life. Everything was cooked to perfection and the arugula and beet salad complimented it perfectly. For dessert we shared a chocolate lava cake (which if you want they suggest putting it in with your dinner order as it takes 30 minutes to make). The lava cake is their most popular item for a reason. Overall our experience with Chart House was incredible. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic, higher end dining experience in Downtown Las Vegas. read more

I wanted to do something special for my family so I brought them at the Chart House. This place is highly recommended by a friend. Noticing the huge aquarium is the first thing we did upon entering the restaurant. It was a really nice feature that my younger siblings enjoyed. We had the lobster bisque, delicious! And we also had the steak and salmon that my whole family loved. For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake. I had the pecan crossed red fish which I liked. I was disappointed with the polenta cake though. If you want a good steak, I would recommend going to the steakhouse that's at the top of the tower. Otherwise, if you want more casual fare, I would highly recommend the Chinese restaurant that's inside the resort.

Highly recommend for a nice dinner without truly breaking the bank. I wish I took pictures!

The building kinda blocked them, but we both felt this was an excellent vantage point of the Plaza Fireworks. Standing you could also see some of the fireworks from the strip near Strat. Australian Lobster was amazing! Our service was amazing! This is the best part of Plaza and is a must visit for us every trip to Vegas, regardless if we are staying downtown.

We didn't try any of the steaks since we went to the steakhouse the night before but when we come back, I'm pretty sure we'll give em a try. An amazing place with great ambiance. Right from the start, the experience was promising. I was seated almost immediately, and the host was welcoming and professional. My server was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout the meal. It's always refreshing to receive service from someone who genuinely cares about the customer experience. The restaurant itself has a warm, relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for lunch, dinner, or simply unwinding after a long day. To start, I ordered the Artichoke Dip, and it did not disappoint. The dip was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, while the chips were perfectly crisp and freshly prepared. A great appetizer. The Lollipop Wings were another highlight. They were juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Easily one of the better items I had during my visit. Unfortunately, the main course changed the entire experience. The burger arrived undercooked and had an unusual flavor that immediately seemed off. Even more concerning, I found a strange particle inside the burger that I simply couldn't identify. At that point, I lost my appetite and chose not to finish it. Moments like this are disappointing because they raise concerns about consistency and quality control in the kitchen. A burger is one of the most basic menu items, and it should never leave the kitchen unless it's been properly checked. I also noticed that parts of the dining room floor were sticky and could have used more attention. Cleanliness is just as important as good food, and it's something guests notice. This wasn't a terrible visit--but it also wasn't the experience I was hoping for. The front-of-house team did an excellent job and deserves recognition for their professionalism. Sadly, the kitchen didn't deliver the same standard. I genuinely hope management takes this as constructive feedback. A simple final inspection before food leaves the kitchen and more attention to cleanliness could make a significant difference. The restaurant has the atmosphere, the service, and the potential to be a great neighborhood spot. Now it just needs consistency where it matters most--the food. And with over 430 yelp reviews less than 10 of mine have been 1-star. A place has to be really bad.. After walking into a very full bar next door and being unable to get a drink, we walked in over here. Immediately, a guy walks up and says "Private Party". There were like ten people there. I explained that we were just looking for a cocktail and maybe some food - and some awful woman mockingly says "Oh.... That sucks" - making "shooing" motions. I don't know what happened, but needless to say we left, If you are closed, don't have the door open. If you are having a private party, it's easy enough to post a sign saying so - or have a host/ess at the door. But whatever is going on, don't allow your staff to permanently drive off customers- unless you're planning to permanently close. This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in my 22 years in Las Vegas - and unfortunately, it was simply poor management. Never again.

I don't remember what the menu labeled it as, and unfortunately did not get a picture. I ordered the Atomic burger - because who doesn't want to try Atomic sauce? - and added bacon to it. The bacon was the issue. It had that weird crunch/texture to it where you bite and it kind of turns to ash in your mouth? Do you know what I'm talking about? It did that but with no flavor. It was super weird. THOSE PICKLES THOUGH!! They were so super yummy! The fries were weird too. They were like eating straw. I love shoestring fries, but these...you bite into them and they were basically hollow inside. We dipped them in the ranch, dipped them in the cheese, dipped them in ketchup...nothing was helping those fries. And then they got hard super fast. SMH. The next time around I ordered wings and chips and dip, specifically the corn salsa one. The wings were the best thing we had there, and I would probably order them again...but the chips and corn salsa...well...it was a little spicy but also had a different kind of flavor that, now here me out, kept confusing our taste buds. We could not decide if we liked it or not! It was just...different. I/we might go back to try their Sunday dinner thing, because like I said, I just really want to like this place, but so far, we will probably just order drinks while there...and probably just beers because that was something else. I love Moscow Mules, but theirs is REALLY spicy. I tried to ask if they could tone down the spice and was then told that the mix is pre-made....soooo gonna have to just not order them anymore...which is lame.

The NFI burger is not huge but it is still very, very good. The Kilkenny beer is also still excellent and they even make a mean Snakebite, although, oddly, it is not on the drink menu. Our experience has solely to do with the hostesses at the front. We had reservations for 1:45, but had arrived early and so was added to the waitlist. She was very rude and said it would be an hour, which was still before our reservation so we were ok with that. We ended up waiting 90 minutes with no word from her and it was close to our original reservation so we headed back over. This time she was even ruder. She said that no one was leaving and that we would not be able to get in today at all. I asked her about my reservation and she said that the reservation didn't matter, we would not be able to get in at all. She was mad that we even asked. I did question why they were taking reservations if they were not honoring them and why did she have us wait (almost two hours by now) if she had no intention of ever seating us. She was angry and said no one was leaving and there were no table available. You could see tables but it appeared there just wasn't enough staff to handle the crowd. We left and headed to one of our favorite dining places as we were starving by now and very disappointed because we were really looking forward to dining at this establishment. Shortly after we arrived at Humo's, I received a text message that our table was ready and to head in. This was about 20 minutes after our conversation with the hostess. I am greatly disappointed that we were not able to try their food, but the customer service was so incredibly bad we would never recommend this place. Two hours for nothing was a huge waste of time. Just be honest and shut down reservations. Incidentally, my husband also received a text shortly after mine saying his table was also ready (his name was on the waitlist for the hour).
