It was very…read morechallenging finding a property manager to manage our properties because there weren't really great reviews in the Temple/Belton area and we didn't know who we could trust. We didn't want tenants having issues with non responsiveness and we didn't want mismanaged properties. We feel that REAL Star has been fair to both our tenants and us as property owners. We literally don't have a single complaint. They ALWAYS respond promptly and do so with a pleasant demeanor. To expedite repairs for our tenants we have designated a set dollar amount for repairs. If any repairs arose that are below that amount they take care of the issue promptly and email us to notify us (no approval needed). If it's above the designated dollar amount they notify us regarding the needed repair for approval. We receive monthly statements regarding all activity pertaining to our properties. This property management company is worth every single penny. I can't recommend them enough.

I am a home owner. My neighbor is a renter for Real Star Property Management. I have been in…read morecontact MULTIPLE times about their tenants behavior and they respond back, "as long as our tenant up keeps the property and pays his rent, there is NOTHING else can do about his behavior". My neighbor has, 3 weeks in row, hit my city garbage cans with his truck (he parks on the curb in between our two homes deliberately because his driveway and other side of driveway stay emtpy), backed into my car, has moved my city garbage cans from resting under/on his truck, and has been CT'd from my property but continues to trespass. Real Star Property Management has done nothing to stop this behavior from their tenant because he simply pays his rent. How is hitting my car not a lease violation? How is flipping my camera off not a lease violation? How is trespassing after being CT'd by Police not a violation? How are all these things appropriate behavior for Real Star Property tenants? How is a registration 8/25 parked on this property not a violation? How is my tenant parking close enough to my driveway where he is covering my concrete that starts my driveway, not a violation? If I were allowed on this website to post pictures... I have pictures of truck on garbage cans, neighbor and girlfriend (who i believe is not on the lease due to her registration being 10 months invalid) trespassing, neighbors' moving my garbage cans, and pictures of the invalid registration and neighbor flipping me off through my camera. I have videos and images that has all been shared with Susana with Real Star Property Management. She has decided it be best they do nothing because he pays his rent. He only cows his lawn two times per season. I know this because he is my neighbor and I can hear his mower and weedeater so, therefore; he does not up keep his lawn like Real Star Property thinks. His christmas tree from 2025 stayed on his lawn curb for months. I do not know how Real Star Property Management can not do anything about this being that it is on going. He was CT'd, that did not stop him. He was supposedly spoken to by Susana, that has not stopped him. Real Star Property Management, take action and tell your tenant to park on the otherside of his driveway or in his driveway. He is CT'd from my property which means, stop blocking my property with your truck and then trespassing to unload your groceries.

It's not the best or the worst company; it's just average…read more A few things I don't particularly like about this company: 1. Shared maintenance fee - I believe taking care of normal wear and tear situations should be on the homeowner & not the tenant, especially when I know I'm not doing anything to purposely damage the home. If I were a homeowner, I'd incur all costs associated with normal wear and tear of my home. With this company, I have to pay every time a maintenance person comes out to repair an issue that likely existed before I rented the place. It just seems like another way to nickel and dime tenants already paying exorbitant rent prices and just trying to keep a roof over our heads in this terrible economy. 2. No contact with the office after 12 - You can't reach anybody in the office after 12 and have to wait the next day BEFORE 12 to be contacted by company staff because everyone is out "checking on properties" after 12. What kind of company doesn't have a receptionist in office to answer phone calls during business hours or some other type of communication portal where tenants can reach staff for general, non-maintenance related questions/issues? Then, when you do speak to someone, sometimes you don't get a thorough explanation that helps you understand what you need to do as a tenant or a response that seems like the company cares about you as a customer or person. If I could've found a comparable rental with a different company within the short amount of time I had to move, I would've. I believe there are better options out there when it comes to rental companies.

My name is James a disabled honorably discharged Vietnam veteran concerning a serious matter of…read moregreat embarrassment, and irreparable harm as it relates to discrimination, and being denied the right move from my current residence located at 503A South 18th St. Temple, TX. 76501 which could lead to potential displacement by no fault of my own. This denial without question is because I am an African-American male who sought redress last year for the landlord's refusal to make reasonable repairs pursuant to the provisions of the lease and after filing my formal complaint to the OAG it was then, and only then resolved. Without question my formal complaint has led to continued intimidation by the company's office manager Tasha Valerio who enjoys staring me down grudgingly in order to provoke a response from me. Those named in my complaint are as follows; Tasha Valerio/Office mgr. Pat, and David Patterson/Owners, Hannah Blair/Account specialist/, and Hayley Cooper/Account Specialist, and Elizabeth (last name unknown) /front desk. Leon Valley Realty Mgmt. is located at 3411 5th St. Temple, TX. 76502. Phone number is (254)771-2228. The behaviors that I will cite are clearly intentional, and with malice. They are exercised deliberately, and willfully with the intent of causing me harm by displacement. The only two that I will give the benefit of the doubt as named parties are Hannah, and Hayla because they are fairly new to the company and were used as collateral damage to engage in unfair housing practices at the direction of Tasha Valerio who loves to make it known that, "I am the office manager." The owners should be precluded from applying for future building permits until this discriminatory is resolved. I am not the only person affected by this disparate treatment as can be reviewed on Yelp.com. My complaint will serve those who like me have been discriminated against, and denied suitable housing based on race as opposed to established requirements. The following events will substantiate my claims, and the only inference that can be drawn is that the acts committed are horrific, inhumane, and should not be tolerated in a civilized society. 1.On or about February 4, 2020 at approximately 10:25 a.m. I arrived at the Leon valley office with my fiancée to obtain keys to view the property located at 404(B) E. Zenith ave. Temple, TX. I was told by Elizabeth that the property was still occupied, and would not be available for move in or inspection until Mid March, but it was listed on the agencies website as available. Prior to my departure Elizabeth told me that before I could move into another property I would have to submit to a pre-inspection. After departing with disappointment I came home and began my research. My findings revealed that in the State of Texas a pre-inspection is NOT warranted for tenants who are not receiving any type of housing assistance so that turned out to be a full blown lie. This lie was orchestrated by Tasha Valerio, and Elizabeth carried it out. It was just the beginning of the denial process that was being delivered, and I received the message loud and clear. 2. On or about February 6, 2020 after giving this matter a cooling off period, at approximately 8:05 a.m. I drafted a letter to Hannah Blair attempting to make arrangements to have rent prorated at my current residence, as well as the resident that was occupied until Mid March. I received a call from Hannah at 8:39 a.m. informing me that the same property was now occupied. My suspicions were now being confirmed that Tasha Valerio were behind these lies, and instructing other employees to carry them out. 3. During this call Hannah notified me of another property located at 419(B) East Zenith was available. I stated to her that I would view the website and call her back in a few hours due to another commitment that I needed to attend to. At approximately 12:35 a.m. I spoke with Hanna again and told her I would be coming in around 1:30 p.m. to make a deposit on the residence, I arrived at approximately 1:31 p.m. only to be approached by Tasha Valerio. She asked me was I Mr. Hill when she knew full well who I was. She then stated that the unit was no longer available. Her exact words follow; " I just literally received the deposit by phone, and first come first serve." She gave me that look of selfish satisfaction, and asked me if I wanted my documents consisting of earning statements, and prorated arrangement letter to Hannah. I took custody of the documents and departed quietly. I am confident that she was waiting for a response so that she would have something to report to make me look bad. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, THIS WILL HELP TEACH THEM HOW TO TREAT EVERYONE EQUALLY!!!!

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD HAVE!! LVR Management is by FAR the absolute worst property…read moremanagement company I have ever dealt with!! We had an "upper end" duplex on the west side of town and rented with them for 14 months. ALL of our problems started when our 1 year lease was up, we tried to extend our lease for another year (thank god we did not). For 2 months Jackie & Tasha failed to draft up our renewed lease after repeated reminders of our extension. So by this time we choose to end our month to month lease and give our 30 day notice with an agreement of payment regarding our DOUBLE deposit and last months rent. Long story short, they filed for eviction 3 days after we gave our 30 day notice and they took half of our last month's rent!! They broke our agreement with payment and IMMEDIATELY told us we are not getting our deposit back. We took them to court and got the eviction dismissed because like I said we had ALREADY given our 30 day notice. Our unit was left in BETTER condition than before we had moved in (It REAKED like dog so bad I had them shampoo the carpets again & THERE WERE BED BUGS THAT THEY REFUSED TO PAY FOR EXTERMINATION UNTIL I DEMANDED THEY CALL THE OWNER BECAUSE THIS WAS 2-3 WEEKS AFTER MOVING IN!!) All they told the court was that they needed to clean the carpet and would take that out of our deposit which would leave close to $500 left, right. WRONG!! These CROOKED, RUDE, DISMISSIVE, UNPROFESSIONAL good for nothing people in the office added BOGUS charges and cleanings and even charged us for re-keying the backdoor that we NEVER received a key to in the first dang place!! Out of what should have been close to a $500 deposit refund turned into $65 because they are beyond crooked and will do and say anything to keep your deposit. Jaquelin "Jackie" Salazar is by far the most rude, unprofessional air head I have come across working in an office environment. Tasha Valerio as a somewhat new manager should take some courses in how to effectively do her job because she just plain sucks. I can go on and on about the unprofessional, degrading and dismissive treatment of their tenats who they treat as if THEY are doing THEM a favor even though their tenants are giving them thousands of dollars a month but I'll leave with this PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!!! STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM LVR MANAGEMENT AT ALL COSTS BECAUSE THEY WILL UNLAWFULLY AND UNETHICALLY KEEP YOUR MONEY AND RUIN YOUR RENTAL HISTORY FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON!!
