One teller on a Saturday. Wait time was not long, but definitely longer than others. Especially, since there was a second teller (woman in her 30's) who chose to talk about what I assumed was a personal matter because the third employee was standing next to her and they were softly laughing and smiling at each other. The teller made eye contact with me and continued to talk to the other employee. When she was done, she smiled and asked if she could help me. By then the other teller was ready for me. I no longer trust Chase and their ability to watch out for my interests when they failed to get back money from a bad bate and switch merchant. As far as l'm concerned the Freedom Card they offer is worthless and offers no purchase protection and I will never use it again. I will use my credit union from now on for all my business. I'm now concerned with any money I have in this bank. if you do a little research you'll see many complaints on file. We used our chip enabled Capital One issued card, at an ATM and our funds were accessed and lost over $1000 through ATM theft. Capital One denied our claim for a refund of stolen funds, the reason being- use of chip enabled card at an ATM that was chip enabled? Doesn't make any sense, theft is theft. I can see why this branch receives one star on average. Patti was no help, and she claims to be a manager, she shows no compassion. I went in to request assistance with a hold on a payroll check. She would not even bother to open her computer. I asked her multiple times, I asked her to verify the the funds with the number provided on the check, she completely refused. I don't want to leave any stars but to leave a review you have to. I'm calling out one particular person in this review. On March 31 2021 my mother had to go to the bank to unfortunately take my fathers name off of their account because he passed away due to COVID. My mother dealt with Patty J. Villalta first Vice President at this location. All she needed was to remove his name and deposit some money. Simple right. Patty saw an opportunity apparently. At first everything went smoothly, name was removed from the account and money deposited. Then after a few hours at home she got a notification on her phone that her account had been suspended and then within minutes all of the sudden the whole account was closed. My mom was panicking and called Patty back. She was not able to help my mom so she called the customer service line thinking there may have been fraud on her account and the bank shut down the account. Nope. Patty saw an opportunity to close the account completely. Why, because just like most sell positions they receive credit for new accounts opened. Commission when new accounts need to be opened. That's why even at a bank they try to upsell you when you go talk to them. They have to reach their quotas for their tiers. So my mom was taken advantage of so she could reach her quota. After being hung up on several times from the customer service line we tried Patty again. By this time my mom was in tears and didn't understand what was happening. She thought she did something wrong. Patty still didn't have time for my mom. So we tried customer service again. No luck. Got hung up on again. So one last time we called Patty and my mom was firm and told Patty immediately what she was seeing on her account. Patty "oh, I see what is happening, please hold". "When I removed your husband from the account and closed it for him it also closed it for you." "We can reopen your account and should be available in a day". Meanwhile my mom has transactions and other things pending on that account and Patty put all of that in jeopardy. Right there she had to open an account for my mom to add another account to her quota. How selfish of her. Taking advantage of the situation, my father , my mothers husbands death to help herself. This is not the first time we have had issues with Patty or this location. Patty if you read this how dare you. I hope your boss see's this and knows what kind of people they have working for them and what they are doing to their customers. You messed with my moms money and account her time with her grandchildren, my kids and throwing off our entire afternoon routine to deal with your selfishness. Needless to say we will soon be leaving this bank company entirely. This was unnecessary and just mean. Messing with someone's emotions and money. For self serving reasons. First of all I do not like to give negative reviews, unless the service is so bad that it is undeniable. If you read the 10 other ONE STAR reviews mine echoes theirs. There is no point repeating what's already been said. They are not exaggerating. The funny thing is that the Eastvale branch is friendly and the service is professional. The branch in Ontario is not up to par. Rude, very rude "banker"with snarky attitude, waited way to long (for nothing because we ended up leaving) and their policy is so intrusive, they practically ask you what your underwear size for their "profile."!! I almost wanted to close my account but we had already wasted so much time "waiting" that it probably would have taken an additional 45 minutes! Going somewhere else! read more

My husband put his name down on the sign in sheet to open a bank account and the lady goes up to us and says "do you mind if you wait while I help these people" (who came in way after us). She then asks us "do you have two forms of ID" and we said yes and she's said "oh well can you still wait the other lady is coming in 20 mins" horrible customer service from the lady at the desk. Came to add a savings account arrived at 5 sat and waited to be seen the associate that came up to ask what we needed said she was off the clock and wasn't sure if we would be seen today told her we would wait for the other associate she walked by while gathering her stuff and said we needed to make an appointment. I have to say that I've been coming to this branch for more than 10 years and all I get it's great customer service. People when they are upset only give negative reviews and when we are happy we hardly take the time to give a good review. But all the staff it's friendly and when they can't do something they tell me because their policy is that. They explain and tell me why they can't do it. The worst branch ever! Seriously made me want to close all of my accounts with Chase! I needed a new debit card & needed to make a deposit, so I signed in at the customer service desk and went to the teller line. I told the teller I needed a new debit card, so I asked her if I needed to see a banker about that or if she herself can make me a new one at the teller window. She said a banker can help me with that. After my transaction I waited by the customer service desk, a very rude older lady asked me what I needed, I told her I needed a new debit card, very rudely said, "okay sit down". I see her doing nothing but talking to her co-worker, 10 minutes passed by then finally calls me to her desk. I told her I needed a new debit card, she asked me if I blocked it, I said no. She said she can only make me a temporary card that can only be used at a Chase ATM. I asked her why a temporary card, I need a debit card, don't you print them in the branch anymore? She said they haven't being doing that since April. Really? Why didn't the teller inform me about that when I clearly asked her if she can make me a new one at the teller window?! Why didn't the older lady tell me that when she rudely asked me what I wanted?! So I wasted 15 minutes of my time for nothing?! She could have at least blocked my debit card for me, and assisted me on getting a new one so I wouldn't have felt like I wasted my time. I had to call Chase customer service to block my card, order a new one, and you bet I filed a complaint. I'm never one to file a complaint, but this sure as hell pissed me off. read more

I continued to give her my California id and drivers license as well as a credit card from bank of america and she had the nerve to ask me if I was a U.S. citizen! I was dumbfounded and asked her why she was asking that question and she then assumed I was not a citizen and denied service to me at this point I was extremely offended and asked for her managers phone number to escalate and she gave me the 1800 customer service number! I guess she figured she won't get in trouble if I talk to a phone rep since they won't know who she is! DO NOT USE CHASE QUICK PAY. Had to send a friend $772.00 for soccer dues so I sent on my phone using Chase app and Quick Pay. I sent to her phone. After I called her and asked if she received and she said she could not get it. I immediately called the Chase 800 number and they told be my friends phone number was recycled and the old owner of the phone linked that phone number to their account. That was on 2/13, its now 2/24 and they still have not returned money. One of the reps actually told me that sending money to a phone is not very secure and they can not guarantee retrieving my money, really? I use their app and service and its not very secure? Why do they offer it then? Your money is not safe at Chase. The 800 rep said they would respond in 3-5 days, they have never responded. My account rep and bank manager have tried to help but its out of their hands. read more

Came in to buy a money order paying cash. Two tellers with customers at windows I am only one in line. One teller finishes and takes off on break. When I finally get to the other teller 10 minutes or so later and i want a money order THAT I AM PAYING CASH FOR THE TELLER WANTS MY ATM CARD AND DRIVER'S LICENSE. The money order was only $150.00 plus $5.00 fee. When I question her as to why she says her little device where you enter the pin number is not working so she needs to enter all this information and goes down to another window two stations down where the device is working. Why didn't she ask me to go to that window to enter the PIN number on my card. So now the teller has my ATM card number and Drivers License information. REALLY! No wonder my card has been hacked so many times recently. read more

Now I know why this branch has a one star. Don't bother making a appt. because it doesn't work. I called yesterday to ask if I need to make a appt. for a notary and the girl that answered the phone said yes. Yes said Patti gets in at 9:30 if I would like to come in then. I told her I'm at work and I would like to come in around lunch time. She said it's pretty busy starting after 11:00 if I can come at 11:00 I told her I would be there. I get there and was greeted by a gentleman and told him I was here to see Patti. He had me sign in. Another lady came and asked me what she can do for me and I told her I needed a paper notarized and she said oh you need to see Patti. Finally Patti comes out of her cubicle and said she didn't know she had a appt. and she would be awhile with a guest. I told that is why I made the appt. and asked whay is awhile? She said about 30 minutes so I told not acceptable and would go to another branch. Which I did after work Roxanna at Chase on Archibald helped me out and it only took approx. 10 minutes to complete. Went in to fix errors that the bank made which resulted in my account being negative. I sat for 25 minutes when no else who had signed in on the sign in sheet for over an hour before I arrived. While correcting their errors the power to the bank went out. I have never experienced a power outage at a bank before nor do I know anyone who has. As a result of that attempt my account continued to decline. When I finally was able to sit down w a representative, they were unable to help me due to the fact that I neglected to make my account positive, when it was their fault my account was negative in the first place. To top it off another representative who had stepped in to 'make things clear' began scolding me as if it was my fault. When I refused his sevice and his supervisor dismissed him he still continued to lecture me. In conclusion, the bank online network system caught the errors and corrected them.
