First off, this picture is wrong. That is not how the one west bank looks like. Secondly, Michael you must have spit on in someone's face or taken a dump on their front door because this place has always treated me like the King of Siam. When I walk in, the security guard opens the door and politely greets me. People know me by my first name and they treat me with respect. They are very professional and helpful. I work with Rita all the time and she knows my entire family. We have such a good repertoire that she actually knows what I bought my mom for christmas. Yah, that's how cool they are. Rita always puts out a fresh pot of coffee for me, gets me water, or makes me tea. She is absolutely nice, which is why I continue to do business with her even though all those 99%'ers are making a huge ruckus. My mom needed to write a huge check, but she wanted a personalized one with a design. So they got one for my mom free of charge and waived the fee. Great Great bank that gives high interest rates. They will bend over backwards for you to help you. I have had zero problems with them and love one west bank. This bank will take care of you better than any credit union will. If you love getting your ass kissed, then this is the bank for you. read more

This bank is my least favorite. If your security is a priority, stay away. Every week, I have received a confirmation for transactions I conducted and my account number is listed in full, twice. One the opposite heading of the letter is my full name and address on file. This is incredibly stupid and should be fixed. Unfortunately they do not have 24/7 customer service, and additionally this has occurred repeatedly. Keep in mind, routing numbers for any US bank are public information. The only thing needed is the account number to start taking money out of the account. Thieves would be very fortunate to run across mail from OneWest Bank. read more

Never a line for withdraw and deposit 4. They offer free cashier check if you want to withdraw over $5,000 Cons: 1. Tellers are very unprofessional 2. Personal Banks aren't educated on their products 3. $2,500 is the max they can give out without Branch Manager approval 4. Teller level 1 carries less than $1,000 according to La Puente branch 5. I want to report that my experience with OneWest has been beyond excellent due to the trust that was built with my "personal banker" Jeannie Valencia. I started out having an investment account with her as my investment counselor recommended I call her to open a money market account that at the time was offering a good rate. She was so personable, kind and professional that I felt she really had my back when it came to my money to the point that I took all of my and my husband's accounts out of BofA and transferred everything to One West and Jeannie. BUT I just went in there the other day to find out she is no longer with One West and that the bank will "assign" me another banker. I don't want just another banker. I've worked all my life for the money I have and will not entrust it to a stranger who is "assigned" to me. Sadly, I now feel I need to search for another bank in which I can receive comparable individual service (which won't be easy since my standards are now high)...BEYOND DISAPPOINTED! read more

I visit the branch one of the Saturday to inquiry checking account promotion that I heard from my mom. I was standing in lobby and no one greet me. I saw a personal banker Erica or Erika was on the phone and right after that she use her cellphone after about 10 minutes then she greet me. I ask her about the promotion and she said we do have the checking promotion but then she told me that I was not qualified to do the promotion because I am a promotion shopper. My intention was to open the account because I also heard if I sign up for the online banking then I will get a free checking account and the promotion would be a sign up bonus. I also ask her about the business checking promotion, but then she didn't even try to explain the promotion and ask me to leave. I have never been so embarrassed in my life that I have to get turned down by a bank. She was rude and unprofessional, she made me feel like I am not a eligible consumer or maybe because I am Asian and she have issue with other Asian customers. If you are not going to allow customers to open checking promotion then don't offer it to the public's. I AM FURIOUS. read more

The main reason I've banked with OneWest is my Premier Banker, Jeanie Valencia. As I mentioned in my prior review, Jeanie has been our banker for almost 14 years going back to IndyMac days. Jeanie is a loyal and professional employee. She's dependable and trustworthy. My mother, daughter and her husband, 4 siblings and their respective families all have accounts here. I've referred OWB and Jeanie to friends as well. The common reason we bank here is because of Jeanie. Her stellar customer service is unmatched. Her professionalism is to be commended. You won't find a banker like Jeanie at any of the other local banks. Jeanie is a special person who treats her clients like family and looks after our best interests. Went to this location because it's closer to home and man RUDE RUDE RUDE. Customer Service needs improvements. No one in branch was friendly, not even a smile. The man who helped us said it's $5.00 to cash since we didn't have and account with them but yet the other branch never charged us. We left keys on counter no one was in the branch and the guy didn't even tell us, when we went back to get keys he was looking at them. In approximately ten years of banking with One West Bank, my wife and I have always been treated special, and with the utmost care and concern. Unlike some of the bigger banks, the Chino Hills branch One West Team always seem to take the time to listen and assist me with our banking needs. A big bonus is that the lines are nearly always short or non-existent, which is important to me as I am usually in a hurry when I visit the bank. Omg this has to be the worst bank on Gods green earth !! I often patronize the bank (atm) to withdraw cash when I'm at the nail shop next door m due to convenience even though they charge $2.50 because I bank with Wells Fargo! Okay so let me explain why I could give this bank 0 stars ! The other night I forgot to get my card out the atm rushing !!! I said to myself no worries I will simply call Saturday morning - and pick it up! I called to let them know I use their atm machine the night before the lady with an very dry tone tells me, "are you an banker here?" I'm like "no" but I can show my Id to claim my card! She's like we can't verify that it's your bank card and its our policy to destroy non bank cards!! Excuse me ?! Have y'all lost your mind ! Needless to say she rush me off the phone letting me know it's just three of us working here and she could call me back because she is with a customer!! By all means stay away from this bank ! I have never heard of such policy ! If I bring my drivers license and my passport how are you not able to verify the card is not mines? Further more my pictures is on the card!
