Anthony was great and super helpful. I will say it's extremely inconvenient how opening a checking account has become so arduous and time consuming when you used to just be able to go in and get a card. We had to go to several different branches and he was the only one willing to help. But thanks to Anthony we were saved from a lot of financial hardship when our old union was hacked and appreciate his great willingness to help. read more

I hate reviews like this! I just don't agree how this situation was handled I don't know how all chase banks are but I've had so many issues with the customer service line and the fact they wouldn't let me get a new card but was able to activate an old card which by now I don't want anything to do with this bank. I appreciate the manager doing that but I feel like I'm already done with this bank! I don't understand why I couldn't close my account when I asked. Then I'm told I have to wait 30 days for a new bank card. Just one that after another. Also the fact you guys wanted my number for my bank card from another bank which is not OK! I said fine to give me my 2,500 I had left in my account he said he would give me a cashiers check I said no I would like the money in my account and that was fine if I can't close it out right now. He took my ID and card to a manager who looked into my account I had to enter my social security number for what? When I gave you my account number from a voided check my drivers license. She said we updated the drivers license?? Why it's the same one I've always used so why did you update my drivers license? Then she said I had to wait 24 hours to close the account.. Asked why I wanted to close my account out I told her because you guys won't give me my bank card saying I need to wait 30 days I had an old one with me and somehow she REACTIVATED that one they had me enter my PIN number.. but y'all sent my replacement card to my old address last year and didn't even have this one I had in my hand on record but somehow REACTIVATED a card that wasn't on my account? When I went to NY a couple years back and lost my card they were able to issue a new bank card right then and there but for some reason I had to wait 30 days. Then the lady says there was a card ordered on the 28th?? By who?? Then claimed they needed ANOTHER form of ID for me to withdrawl 2,500??? Really for two thousand and five hundred dollars?? I'm not even closing it I just wanted my damn money. They asked for another form of ID I gave them my other debt card for another bank I opened because of the BS with this bank. Then they claimed they needed my number for the other bank my debit card number FOR WHAT? I asked them to give my card back because it's not even a chase bank card so why did they need it. All of this over 2,500 that's all I have and needed that to put in the new bank I opened because of Chases BS! The first man that helped me told another teller something about interest and she said I wouldn't get that until 24 hours which I don't care because all I had in there again was 2,500. I don't know why you guys make it so difficult for me to close my account. Then they asked if there was any pending transactions YOU'RE LOOKING at my account wouldn't it say that?? It should say the last transaction was when I transferred 100 to my open a new account since chase wouldn't give me a new card but somehow you guys were able to activate the card that didn't work. So one teller sent me to the manager then to another teller to withdrawl 2,546.34 gave me a receipt but no balance because it should be a ZERO balance now. All of that BS because I said I wanted to close my account out. If I said I just wanted to withdrawl my money would it be the same BS? Why would I have to wait 30 days for a new debit card when your manager ACTIVATED an OLD CARD that she said wasn't even on my account?? So how does that work?? You just activated a card that you said wasn't on my account but if I needed a new one I would have to wait 30 days but it took less than 2 minutes after you asked me to enter my social security number. That's all the money I have and you guys made such a big ass deal about me getting my money and a new debit card but were able to ACTIVATE MY OLD CARD THIS WHOLE TIME WOW! Now I see why one person on here said F&)) this place. I had been trying to update my legal information for a week but their appointments didn't match my schedule and it was something that I needed to get done. He was extremely nice, and professional and took care of the things I needed. Overall an amazing experience with his service and with one of the tellers, unfortunately, I don't remember her name. FUCK THIS BANK. I was in there to conduct some business. My 3 year old child had to use the restroom. I asked them nicely if my child could. They said no and were very rude about it. I understand about COVID, but I was asking for a little compassion. My child really had to go. Long story short, my child ended up going on the floor, and was humiliated. I cleaned it up. And after the struggle and cleaning up I did, they manager offered for my child to use the restroom AFTER the fact. For what? It was too late by then. Terrible location and customer service. Waited for more than a half hour for service. Had to wait for an agent, he forgot about an appointment he had scheduled (already not a good sign) and passed me off to some other employee that forgot about me. She also tried to get out of helping people trying to make him think she was busy - she's not - she later admitted she's not doing anything. Don't expect great service here - non-existent. If you need to do more than withdrawal and deposit, go to another location. All I wanted to do was open a savings account and never got it done. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Even after marriage, Gayle and I still have many separate accounts. I bank at First Republic and for their excellent service, I'll gladly drive down to Walnut Creek to get it. For neighbourhood convenience, Gayle uses this Chase (and former Washington Mutual) branch for her banking and our mortgage needs. I also use their ATM here at this Branch and still hold 3 Credit Cards through JP Morgan Chase. At the same time, I often feel that I'm dealing with the Devil or at least with the Golden Rule (those with the Gold Rules). My most recent experience was a Card that needed to be turned off due to Fraud. I found it before they did and even though the Card was promptly replaced, it took a full 2 weeks to get the bogus charges off my account. JP Morgan Chase of course took bailout money, contributed to the past Financial meltdown, continues to maintain high executive pay packages, and was downgraded by Moody's (along with 14 other Banks) just yesterday. In other words, The Band Plays On. However, lack of options (and I like the Southwest Airline Points and the convenience of their ATM), I'll continue to play the hypocrite. read more

Inefficient and unacceptable at 935am on a weds morning when you are open for business to have ALL of your bankers in a meeting and unavailable to customers. Customers should be able to have access to your services durinf business hours. Your tellers are not allowed to do a simple name change with proper documentation. So please have someone available to customers during business. Some customers dont have the luxury of waiting and coming back multiple times, this is poor customer service. I'm giving this branch a huge black mark! When things get tough out with the pandemic doesn't mean you can't continue to serve it's customers with accurate information. Never have a gotten a call back from a branch manager when I needed it. I gave all my information to get what I needed and was never contacted back ! I work in the area and have been coming to this branch for years. Most of these other reviews are BS. They don't even have an "Asian guy in a suit" working there. All of the staff, from branch manager Brandy, the bankers and tellers are always super friendly and hardworking. They try to get people in line to use the ATM bc they're in line to get $40 when the ATM can give them up to $3000. I really appreciate their service and all of the nay sayers are being ridiculous. They always help me with a smile and I have all of my banking, loans and investments with them. read more

Reached out via telephone .. it rang and rang and I was hung up on. I called a second time, same thing. The only reason I tried a third time was because I could hear voices in the background for the brief half a second that someone picked up and promptly hung up TWICE. What kind of a professional banking institution treats client/potential clients this way? I have worked in retail banking for over ten years, and, believe me, I completely understand being short-staffed, busy, overwhelmed .. but you ALWAYS pick up the phone, take a message and get right back to the customer in front of you. The pick up/hang up method is unbelievably unprofessional and downright shady & unethical. The person who answered the phone spoke VERY fast and sounded completely under duress. She wasn't even really listening to what I was saying. I had to ask "Are you guys extremely busy right now, or something?" and she laughed and said 'yah, I'm opening a new account and the supervisor is on the teller line'. Learn to manage peoples perception. People are much more understanding when you calmly say "Excuse me, Mr. Customer, let me just quickly pick up this call." and proceed to CALMLY take a message for whoever is calling. Answering the phone while speaking so fast that no one can even understand what you're saying is very unbecoming. Update: after further disappointing communication with the staff at this branch, it's clear that there is a very low standard of professionalism that exists here. Very unapologetic staff. Avoid this place like the plague unless you want to be treated like a number, like a $ sign. They only care about sales, NOT service. read more

It's been a year since I opened my account with Chase in PH, so I thought I should finally do a review here on yelp! Long story short: After tons of banks, research, etc. I've been a SUPER happy CHASE Business Banking customer for a year! A year ago my CPA told me it was time for my business to "grow up", so I incorporated into an S-Corp. Part of the process entailed searching for a bank to manage my new business accounts... not something I was at all excited about. I had been with a fully online bank for the previous 10 years which was fine for personal stuff, but I knew I'd need a local branch for business banking. Plus, my online bank's interface and support had dropped over the years. Well, I'm incredibly anal about research. I went to every person, network, etc. for recommendations: Facebook, my CPA, fellow business owners in my niche, etc. I was surprised by how many people liked the banks they were with and then how many people also didn't like those same banks. Basically out of the 30 recommendations I received, they were basically not much help. :( I decided I wanted a relatively large bank that had a presence across the US and had a robust online system. I had learned to do most of my transactions online and didn't want to go backwards in time with a small bank. This narrowed things down to a handful of banks in the area: Wells Fargo, BofA, Citi, CHASE, and usBank. I already had experience with usBank and CITI, so they were pretty much dropped from the list. I ended up researching and visiting BofA, CHASE & Wells Fargo and talking to (or trying to talk to) their business bank specialists. At CHASE I was instantly introduced and helped by Haythem Fahima. At first I thought "Oh great, another young guy who's not going to know much about what he's supporting." Boy was I wrong! Haythem walked me through all of the options and benefits of business banking with Chase and then he patiently answered every one of my billion questions (seriously, I had a TON of questions in a Word doc!) I had made up my mind to sign up with Chase for my business banking and dropped into the branch. Bummer, it was Hathem's day off... but the good news: I was helped by two other guys from other groups and they did an excellent job of setting everything up! The next day I got an email and then phone call from Haythem apologizing that he wasn't in the office and checking to make sure everything went smoothly and to see if I had questions or needed help. Well, of course I had more questions, and he answered every one of them. Well, actually, there were two questions that he needed to check on, which he did, and emailed me the answers that day! So, here are the reasons I'm doing my business banking with Chase AND have also moved over all my personal accounts over to Chase: 1) Hathem is a ROCK STAR! I've never had a situation where he didn't take care of my questions or issues. 2) Their tech is AMAZING! Their online site is almost perfect, and I'm pretty particular about online user interface design. The ability to deposit with my iPhone is fantastic! Slipping my checks into the direct deposit machine (the ones over the iPhone deposit amount) is pretty great (only problem, one of the checks I get monthly can't be scanned by the ATM... that's a bummer). 3) All but 1 of the credit cards we had under our names were provided by Chase. After a little work by Hathem, all our credit cards were showing up online. One interface for business, personal, credit cards, etc. BAM! I definitely recommend CHASE to anybody looking to open a business account. While a very large part of my amazing experience with Chase has been through Haythem's amazing support, there are a lot of other great aspects to Chase that will keep with with them for a very long time! read more

OK so previously I had written review with my displeasure with this branch... however after working with Cora to solve an issue my account had been having I realize now her customer service is second to none. She got me a new debit card, she got my funds released early and in a timely manner while calling me back after talking to Bank of America on the phone... this of course was after I had already gotten upset and she still remained calm and professional and took care of me all the way until the end. Today I made a huge mistake and went to Chase bank on Ygnacio valley instead of stopping at my usual bank on Contra Costa Blvd. Just want you and your Regional Manager to know your customer service is fantastic. I should have gone back to your bank today.. Every time I go to your bank I am happy when I leave. You are always helpful and professional. I closed my account with chase today on Ygnacio Valley becase of Carmen Lopez. Maybe Patricia the Bank Management can resolve this issue. I called her and she was very kind.
